Jiang Yuan hurried to catch up, holding out a small wooden box. "Teacher, this is some tea I brought from home."

Xue Rui frowned. 'Who gives a gift in front of all the other students?'

"We got them straight from the factory. They aren't on the market yet," Xue Rui said. "Just pay us the cost price, Sir."

Xia Tianjun felt the power strip. 'This thing only costs ten yuan? A single phone charger costs more than that. The material costs alone have to be at least twenty yuan.' He realized Xue Rui was practically giving it to him.

Even though it was just a power strip, you really couldn't find this design anywhere else. The craftsmanship was exquisite, too. It was definitely nice enough to give as a gift.

'Things are valuable when they're rare,' he thought. 'I could give these as gifts...'

But Xia Tianjun didn't want to take advantage of a student. He tossed down one hundred yuan and took two power strips. "To show my support."

"We have extras. Buy two, get one free," Xue Rui said, pressing another one into Xia Tianjun's hands.

"Alright, alright."

Jiang Yuan watched Xia Tianjun walk away, looking pleased with the power strips. She stood rooted to the spot, her expression dumbfounded.

'My tea was rejected, but Xue Rui actually managed to sell Lin Ruoxi's power strips to the counselor?'

She realized something: Xue Rui and Lin Ruoxi were very close.

'One is a smooth operator, and the other has deep pockets. If those two team up to run for class president, my chances of winning are slim to none.'

"Jiang Yuan, weren't you just saying you wanted to switch places?"

"Well now, what a considerate classmate," Xue Rui said shamelessly. "You want to switch places with Lin Ruoxi? We're so grateful."
