The Weirdo bounced off the ground, and immediately flew tens of meters away. Then, taking another leap, he went several more tens of meters, moving faster than ordinary people could ever manage.

The Government Soldiers and common folk stared in amazement. Is this a crippled person? How does he seem even more capable than those with all four limbs intact!

The sedan chair and guards kept moving forward, turning a corner, gradually disappearing from view.

"Smack...!"

The Nine Gates Admiral swung a hand and slapped the City Gate Official hard, cursing angrily: "Fool!"

Caught off guard by the slap, the City Gate Official was left bewildered, holding his cheek as he stared stupidly at the Nine Gates Admiral: "Sir, you...!"

"You fool, do you know who he is, yet you dare provoke him, and even accuse him of being a spy. You’re something else!"

"That Weirdo looked suspicious, I really didn’t know, sir."

"You still dare lie?"

"I did not, sir."

"Clearly, you offended someone first, then got injured, and accused them of being a spy, isn’t that so?"

The Nine Gates Admiral was no pushover, his earlier investigations had already uncovered the full story.

The City Gate Official was rendered speechless, as that’s exactly what happened.

In the past, he’d always done things this way without any incident, but today he encountered a tough nut. To make matters worse, this was someone the Princess Consort of War Prince knew. He couldn’t even frame them if he wanted. The thought was truly vexing, today seemed like the worst luck ever, even attracting the attention of the Nine Gates Admiral.

With a thud, the City Gate Official fell to his knees, a mournful expression on his face as he said, "Sir, I was wrong."

The Nine Gates Admiral continued cursing: "Of all the people to offend, you chose the Princess Consort of War Prince. Are you trying to get me killed?"

In his anger, he raised his beefy leg and kicked the City Gate Official twice.

The City Gate Official was dumbstruck, enduring the pain as he tried to recall the details of his interaction with the Princess Consort of War Prince, realizing he didn’t actually do anything wrong. Thus, he mustered the courage to say, "Sir, I truly didn’t offend the Princess Consort."

"You pig-headed fool, still claiming you didn’t?"

"Sir, I really didn’t offend the Princess Consort."

The Nine Gates Admiral couldn’t help but kick him again twice: "Is your other eye blind too? Didn’t you see the Princess Consort is well acquainted with that Weirdo? They’re already familiar; offending the Weirdo is effectively offending the Princess Consort. Your pig brain doesn’t work at all."

Ah, so that’s how it is!

With the Nine Gates Admiral’s reminder, the City Gate Official realized it seemed to be true.

"Sir... sir, what... what should we do now?"

"How would I know? It’s your mess, you figure it out." After saying this, the Nine Gates Admiral left angrily with his subordinates.

"Oh dear, I’ve offended the War Prince’s Mansion, what do I do now?" The City Gate Official stood there anxiously, completely disregarding the injury on his eye.

A soldier saw this and hurriedly approached with advice: "Sir, why worry! I have a plan."

The City Gate Official’s eyes lit up, he needed someone’s counsel. He asked, "What’s the plan?"

The soldier smugly replied: "Sir, purchase some precious gifts, send them to the War Prince’s Mansion to apologize to the Princess Consort. She’s generous, she might not hold it against you!"

"Yes indeed, oh, why didn’t I think of that!" Hearing this, the City Gate Official was overjoyed.

The soldier was immensely proud, he had devised a plan to help his superior overcome difficulties at a crucial moment.

The City Gate Official: "Hurry to the jewelry store, pick out some valuable jewels and send them to the War Prince’s Mansion, saying they are from me as an apology to the Princess Consort."
