The family doctor, looking at Jin Hao’s complexion, was also worried and said, "Mr. Jin, there are issues with your health. I recommend you go to the hospital for a check-up."

"Alright, I know!" Jin Hao nodded, and somehow Jiang Xue’s words came to mind. What did Jiang Xue say back then? She said that no one but her could cure the poison, not even the hospital could detect it.

With this thought, Jin Hao turned to the family doctor and asked, "Ah Biao, tell me, is there any poison in this world that instruments can’t detect?"

"Poison?" The family doctor was taken aback, then shook his head and said, "I’ve never heard of such a thing. However, since it’s poison, there must be an antidote. As for detection, it’s probably because the instruments aren’t advanced enough."

Hearing the family doctor’s words, Jin Hao was very disappointed and waved for him to leave.

Once the family doctor left, Jin Hao looked at Ah Lin, who was full of worry, and said, "Jiang Xueling poisoned me before she left."

Upon hearing this, Ah Lin’s face changed drastically and he looked at Jin Hao saying, "How could this be?"

"Alright, I won’t have any major problems for now. She said it’s a slow-acting poison." Although Jin Hao was feeling unwell, he didn’t want those around him to worry too much.

However, his words did little to calm Ah Lin’s emotions. Instead, it made his heart even more uneasy.

In the past, they underestimated Jiang Xue’s abilities, thinking she was just a woman who posed no real threat. Even knowing she had killed many of their people, they never took her seriously.

When they first went to South City, they were cautious until Jiang Xue agreed to cooperate with them and went to M Country. They had forgotten she was a formidable woman.

This underestimation led to significant losses for their company. Fortunately, they had connections in the government; otherwise, MD Group might not even exist now.

"Go on with your work, I’m fine!" Jin Hao didn’t want to see Ah Lin looking like the sky was falling, so he sent him out of the office.

Once Ah Lin left, Jin Hao sat on the sofa with a dejected expression. Before, he didn’t believe Jiang Xue’s words, but now with his health issues emerging, he felt the threat and realized Jiang Xue wasn’t lying; she had truly poisoned him.

As for what kind of poison it was and its consequences, he didn’t know. But his body was already feeling unwell, and even in his sleep, he was tormented by nightmares, which only heightened his fear.

Concerned about what was wrong with his body, Jin Hao was in a terrible mood. Agitated, he swept the documents off his desk and picked up the phone, intending to call and ask whether Jiang Xue had been captured or even killed.

However, just then, another phone on the desk rang. Jin Hao had to put down the phone in his hand and answer it.

As soon as he picked up, the anxious voice of the vice president, Kaled, came through, saying, "Boss, there’s bad news. Our latest shipment has been intercepted and held at customs."

"What?" Jin Hao’s face instantly turned grim. The customs had never stopped MD Group’s shipments before; how did this happen all of a sudden, with no prior warning?

Could it be that they didn’t pay enough this time?
