Chapter 1495: Chapter 1495: Escape Journey (Part 3)
Upon hearing this, Jiang Xue’s face changed, and she shouted: "Wait a minute!"
"Why, has Miss Jiang figured it out?" Jin Hao was slightly smug, thinking to himself: Under severe punishment, do you still dare not confess?
"Mr. Jin, treating your partners like this, aren’t you afraid it will chill the hearts of others?" Jiang Xue asked coldly.
"Miss Jiang, you were the one who betrayed me first. Isn’t that so?"
"Jin Hao, what gives you the right to say I’ve betrayed you? Please show the evidence." Jiang Xue was angry, directly calling him by his full name.
Although it was indeed her doing, Jin Hao didn’t have evidence, right? Because he had no evidence, he thought of forcibly extracting a confession, but how was that possible?
"Miss Jiang, do you think if I had evidence, I would have kept you here?" Jin Hao sneered. He was at a disadvantage precisely because he lacked evidence; otherwise, how could Jiang Xue still be here?
If he had evidence, he would have had someone kill her long ago.
"Jin Hao, since you have no evidence, on what basis do you treat me like this?" Jiang Xue was furious. At this point, she regretted coming with Jin Hao. If she had known, she should have taken action at the hotel and dealt with Jin Hao and his men directly.
Now, here they were at the police station; even if they handled Jin Hao, escaping wouldn’t be easy. After all, they were unfamiliar faces; a small misstep could get them caught as escapees.
"Miss Jiang, I don’t want to treat you like this either. As long as you confess, I’ll let you go, how about it?" Jin Hao began to coax Jiang Xue.
Hearing this, Jiang Xue sneered. Did he think she was a three-year-old, using such a tactic?
"Jin Hao, I advise you to let me go. Otherwise, the consequences might be beyond your imagination." Jiang Xue said threateningly, in a calm tone.
Seeing Jiang Xue dare to threaten him, Jin Hao was infuriated. He looked at Jiang Xue coldly and said: "Miss Jiang, since you’re oblivious to your situation, don’t blame me for being ruthless."
"Use force!" Jin Hao ordered, waiting for his subordinates to act. However, the unexpected happened; not only did the subordinates not apply force, they started to undo Jiang Xue’s handcuffs.
Jin Hao was shocked at their actions, asking: "What are you doing?"
However, the subordinates did not respond, instead removing Jiang Xue’s handcuffs. Released from the handcuffs, Jiang Xue felt relieved, then stepped towards Jin Hao.
She approached Jin Hao step by step, the invisible pressure causing Jin Hao to retreat step by step in fear. When he backed into the corner of the wall with nowhere left to retreat, he said arrogantly despite his fear: "Jiang Xue, what do you want to do?"
"Jin Hao, would you like to try the taste of these instruments of torture?" Jiang Xue asked with a grin. But her smile appeared terrifying in Jin Hao’s eyes.
Turning around, Jin Hao tried to flee. But he hadn’t run far before Jiang Xue reached out and grabbed his shoulder.
With his shoulder caught, Jin Hao tried to break free but found Jiang Xue’s strength too great, unable to escape. Only then did Jin Hao realize how strong Jiang Xue was, and panic ensued within him. He looked at Jiang Xue fearfully and asked, voice trembling: "What, what do you want to do?"
"What do I want to do?" Jiang Xue sneered, glancing at Jin Hao, and said: "Isn’t that a question for me to ask you?"
"Initially, you tried to assassinate me. After failing, you pretended to cooperate with me, getting close. What exactly are you trying to do?"
