Chapter 1493: Chapter 1493: Journey of Escape (Part 1)

"Alright, I’ll book the earliest flight back."

"Xue’er, the sooner you leave, the better. I suspect the M Country Government has already notified Jin Hao, so leave right now, or it might be too late."

"Okay!" After Jiang Xue hung up the phone, she immediately informed Huo Cong. Just as the two had packed their things and were about to leave, the door was kicked open, and Jin Hao appeared in front of Jiang Xue with a group of people.

Seeing Jin Hao, Jiang Xue secretly thought this was bad. She wanted to run, but there were too many people, and she couldn’t escape at all. So, Jiang Xue pretended to be clueless, looked at Jin Hao, and asked, "Mr. Jin, what does this mean?"

"Miss Jiang, don’t you actually understand what I mean?" Jin Hao looked coldly at Jiang Xue. He couldn’t believe that Jiang Xue was a spy and had stolen his company’s secrets.

"Mr. Jin, I truly don’t understand, please clarify," Jiang Xue looked calmly at Jin Hao, believing she had not shown any flaws or exposed anything. The reason Jin Hao came should be suspicion, he probably hasn’t obtained evidence.

"Miss Jiang, do you really not understand?" Jin Hao looked at Jiang Xue with a face full of suspicion, wanting to read something from her expression.

However, Jiang Xue was too calm, and he couldn’t discern anything. Because of this, he started to doubt his own judgment, wondering if he was being overly suspicious and wrongfully accusing Jiang Xue.

But when he remembered the message from the government, he felt it was better to err than to let it go. Since Jiang Xue arrived, their operations had already failed once.

And this time, it was even more serious. Huaxia seemed to have acquired his company’s secrets and demanded that the government arrest him.

Luckily, he paid a lot of taxes to the government every year, otherwise this time he would have really been screwed.

"Mr. Jin, I genuinely don’t understand. Did I do something wrong that upset you? If that’s the case, tell me, and I’ll change, okay?"

"Enough, whether you really don’t understand or pretend not to understand, you’ll find out when you get there." Jin Hao, adamant about not letting go even if wrong, instructed his men to take Jiang Xue away. At the same time, Huo Cong was also taken away.

They took Jiang Xue and Huo Cong onto a car and blindfolded them. The vehicle meandered for about an hour and a half before stopping.

The two were led out, then pushed into a room. As soon as they entered, Jiang Xue smelled the scent of blood.

While pondering where they were, the blindfold was removed, revealing a room full of torture devices to Jiang Xue.

Looking at these things with dark red blood stains on them, Jiang Xue knew this was where Xin Hao and his people interrogated prisoners.

What puzzled her was how Jin Hao could have such a place? Moreover, it seemed like someone had just been interrogated here.

As Jiang Xue scrutinized the interrogation room, Jin Hao spoke, saying, "Miss Jiang, do you know what this place is?"

Jiang Xue shook her head. Jin Hao curled his lips into a smile and then said, "This is the place where police interrogate prisoners."

"What?" Jiang Xue’s expression changed, she couldn’t believe Jin Hao would bring her to the police station. She thought Jin Hao might resort to some private torture, but never imagined he’d bring her to the police station.

It seems Jin Hao has a good relationship with the government, which explains why even with evidence, they are reluctant to step forward. Probably, Jin Hao often flatters them in daily life.
