After the first round of hole cards was dealt, Wu Yun didn’t get arrogant. He sat up and glanced at his card: a Jack of Hearts.

But based on his hole card alone, it was impossible to predict the order of the upcoming cards unless he had some kind of superpower.

Once the hole cards were dealt, the dealer began to distribute the first round of upcards.

Wu Yun received a Five of Hearts, the second-lowest card showing. The lowest belonged to the Arab.

Among the first upcards for the five players at the table, Wu Yun’s was the highest: an Ace of Spades.

What solidified his confidence even more was his deduction that if he bet, the next card dealt to him would be the Jack of Spades!

As he spoke, Wu Yun reached into his stack of chips, grabbed nine more hundred-thousand-dollar chips, and tossed them in.

This made Takeda Nobuyoshi, who was about to mock him again, swallow his words. The smile on his face, however, grew even wider.

"Your turn," Wu Yun said, looking at Takeda Nobuyoshi with a calm expression that made the man’s skin crawl.

"Forget it. You all can play this hand."

Takeda Nobuyoshi’s upcard was a Queen of Hearts, the second highest on the board.

His hole card was a Ten of Clubs. How could he call with a hand that was so likely to be junk?

Besides, his original goal was just to provoke Wu Yun, make him lose his cool, and lose more money. Now that his goal was achieved, he had no reason to stay in.

However, Takeda Nobuyoshi’s actions infuriated the other players.

"Fuck! Do you have shit for brains?!" the middle-aged white man exclaimed, clearly agitated.

The white man’s upcard and hole card were a Ten of Diamonds and a Queen of Diamonds. If Wu Yun had only bet one hundred thousand, he had planned to call and gamble on the next card.

But now, paying one million for the next card forced him to reconsider; the risk was just too great.
