Chapter 1352: Referring to Oneself
Chapter 1352: Chapter 1352: Referring to Oneself
"Alright, as long as there are no problems." Sophie Wilson felt relieved, "Let’s do it this way, when they fax back, don’t forget to make several copies, bring them with you to the symposium."
"Okay." The Dean realized he didn’t know what else to say beyond this word.
After hanging up, the Dean vigorously rubbed his face and immediately arranged for someone to draft the invitation documents.
Looking at the invitation documents with all those familiar doctors’ names, he felt his blood pressure rising uncontrollably, feeling a bit dizzy.
Will these people really respond?
The Dean checked the time, even though it’s daytime over there, it will take a few hours before there’s any news.
Never mind, he decided to wait it out at the hospital today.
Who in the hospital couldn’t work overtime?
The Dean sent the fax, then leisurely went to the break room to brew himself a cup of tea, standing in the hallway and looking out at the already lit street lamps.
If the boss really can invite those people, the hospital’s standards would elevate significantly, then...
The promising future made the Dean’s hand tremble with excitement as he held the cup.
The Dean took a deep breath to calm his excited state; at this age, he couldn’t indulge in youthful naivety.
He couldn’t be assured until he saw formal confirmation of anything.
The Dean leisurely returned to the office, and then saw paper freshly "spit" out by the fax machine.
He quickly walked over and grabbed it, seeing the signature and seal on it, his mind buzzed; his boss’s connections... are they a bit too formidable?
Sophie Wilson finished handling everything and then went back to her bedroom to rest.
After entering, she saw Charles Seymour was already in pajamas, lying on the bed. Hearing her come in, he then put the book aside.
"Is the baby asleep?" Sophie Wilson asked.
"Yes." Charles nodded, feeling a bit depressed; his wife, upon seeing him, first inquires about another man; this feeling... is somewhat uncomfortable.
Charles has always been a compliant man, especially listening to Sophie’s words; Sophie had said that between the two of them, they should be honest with each other.
So, now whatever comes to mind, he naturally stated directly: "The baby’s father isn’t asleep yet."
Sophie Wilson gave Charles a puzzled look and said, "I see."
"Why do you refer to yourself so strangely?" Sophie Wilson was somewhat confused.
Charles could have simply said he wasn’t asleep, right?
Why talk about the baby’s father?
"The baby’s father is more important than the baby." Charles affirmed, "Without the baby’s father, there wouldn’t be a baby."
Sophie Wilson stared blankly at Charles and then reached out to touch his forehead; is this guy running a fever?
Without thinking, Charles reached out, grabbed her hand, placed it near his lips, and kissed it.
Sophie Wilson was speechless: "I was trying to see if you had a fever or not."
After hearing this, Charles sat up straight, leaned forward, and pressed his forehead against Sophie’s, saying, "This way, sensing the temperature is more direct."
Sophie Wilson looked straight into Charles’s eyes, seeing his eyes were completely clear, as if he really hadn’t thought of anything else.
