Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 1303: Too Naive
Chapter 1303: Chapter 1303: Too Naive
"Really?" Clarissa wasn’t about to believe Sophie’s nonsense.
"Of course, that’s mostly how it goes!" Sophie replied with utmost seriousness.
Clarissa giggled and tapped Sophie on the forehead, "I know that, but your guy planning the wedding for the evening is definitely not about some ancient etiquette, he just can’t bear for you to get up early."
Sophie wriggled with pride, "That’s also part of the reason."
If it were a midday ceremony, she’d have to get up early to get ready.
As for waking up early... she’d rather pass.
Too exhausting.
"Charles really dotes on you beyond belief," Clarissa admonished, but her heart was full of satisfaction.
She didn’t care if the ceremony was at noon or in the evening, as long as Charles cherished her Sophie, she was relieved.
"There’s nothing I can do, he just loves pampering me like this," Sophie’s words earned her an eye roll from Clarissa, "Go on and brag."
Sophie continued to giggle with immense satisfaction.
Standing outside the door, Mason couldn’t help but shake his head with a smile. That pig... even though it got his precious cabbage, it still knew to take care carefully. He’d just turn a blind eye for now.
In the evening, Sophie had a sweet sleep and was waiting to have lunch before Charles sent someone to pick her up.
As for the wedding venue, all the guests had already arrived, whether they were Charles’s relatives or Sophie’s; everyone was greeting the guests.
The people from the business world weren’t surprised, but why were there people from the training camp too?
There were quite a few others from different fields, and crucially, many big shots from other industries were there too.
Each and every one was a standout, mention a name and it echoed like thunder.
This left the people in the business world astonished, while they all arrived at a mutual understanding—secrecy!
After today, they would never discuss anything about the Charles and Sophie’s wedding, especially about those they saw among the guests.
Julian and Kai were busy inside, greeting guests and were finally able to catch a break. The two gathered at a side spot, took a sip of water, and caught their breath.
"No wonder my little uncle wanted to have the wedding in the evening, there wasn’t enough time during the day," Julian remarked. This time my uncle had really gone all out.
Upon hearing this, Kai glanced at him and asked, "Haven’t you been learning by Charles’s side for quite some time?"
"Yes," Julian didn’t know why Kai brought it up suddenly, but if he wanted to talk about it, he had no problem, "It’s to go back and manage the Seymour Corporation, so..."
"So Charles just taught you the tricks of the trade in business," Kai sighed.
This sigh left Julian a bit puzzled, vaguely realizing there was more to his words, but he couldn’t quite grasp it, "You mean..."
"What I mean is," Kai sighed lightly, "never mind a noon wedding, even a morning one, with Charles’s skills he could pull it off. The main reason he set it for the evening is because... my sister, your little aunt, can’t get up that early."
With that, Kai raised a hand, gave a little tap to the dazed Julian, shook his head, and walked away with a slight swagger.
Julian, this kid... still too naive.
