Chapter 1957: Chapter 1937:

An Hao pouted and buried himself in Qhianqhian’s arms, choking up, and after a while, he mumbled, "I like Sister the most, please don’t dislike me, Sister."

Qhianqhian’s heart felt warm and tender; indeed, blood is thicker than water. Even one sentence could move her profoundly, making her even feel a bit guilty about her actions.

"Silly, how could Sister dislike you? At most, sometimes I just feel like giving you a spanking..." Qhianqhian ruffled An Hao’s head and comforted him: "Sister likes An Hao because he’s Sister’s little brother, not because he listens or behaves well or looks cute, but simply because he’s my brother. But it just so happens that you’re good-looking, obedient, smart, and sensible, so Sister likes you even more."

"Then Sister be gentle, I don’t mind being spanked, but I’m afraid Sister’s hand will hurt." An Hao obediently lay on Qhianqhian’s lap, looking up at her and said seriously.

Getting spanked is common, after all... Over at Uncle Luo Si’s place, the slightest carelessness would lead to a spanking. Unlike Qhianqhian, who would just lightly tap a couple of times as a reminder.

"Hmph, save it. Next time you make me angry, I’ll spank you. Today I’ll let it go since you’re so cute." Qhianqhian picked up the fishing rod: "Shall we go fishing?"

"Hehe, I knew Sister is the best; An Hao likes Sister the most." An Hao obediently picked up the fishing rod: "The first fish I catch is for Sister to eat."

Qhianqhian sighed inwardly with helplessness. This brat, does he assume she wouldn’t be hard on him? Such an endearing little rascal!

He Wenyu looked at Qhianqhian and found it amusing that An Hao always had Qhianqhian wrapped around his finger. She couldn’t break free.

Just a moment ago, she was angry, but as soon as An Hao acted cute, all the anger vanished. Is there such a sister?

Where’s the balance of reward and punishment? Reward immediately delivered, but punishment delayed and accumulated?

Who knows how long An Hao would be spanked when he really deserves it...

"Tantan, you better not learn from him." But obviously, Qhianqhian was still upset, so she turned to Tantan: "Eat well, sleep well, and you’ll grow tall, then you can get married and have babies."

"Eh? Growing up is just for getting married and having babies?" He Wenyu was dumbfounded.

"No, growing up means doing many things, but I think what I like most is having no one to control me, being able to do what I want." Qhianqhian hurriedly shook her hand, she was single, for goodness’ sake!

She cautiously glanced at Mo, and since he showed no reaction, she heaved a sigh of relief: "But I’m more inclined to a simple life away from chaos, retiring to the countryside."

"Give me a break, retiring to the countryside? Who’ll cook for you? A simple life? Who’ll play with you?" He Wenyu ruthlessly exposed her: "What you long for is someone to serve you, then leisurely enjoy life in a not-so-simple, fun-filled manner every day."

"You’re right." Qhianqhian pondered for a moment and then decisively said.

After all... for a master of dark cuisine, food is a significant issue, especially if no one cooks; every meal becomes a kind of torture.

"I’ll cook for Sister, my grilled fish is delicious." Just then, An Hao caught a fish and eagerly went to grill it.

"Keep fishing, it’s not enough to eat." Looking at the ’not enough’ fish in An Hao’s hand, Qhianqhian swallowed her saliva.

How much does this kid usually eat?

But could he even lift something this heavy now? Unbelievable, isn’t it? This kid’s training hasn’t been in vain, which somewhat reassures her.

After eating and drinking their fill, looking at the two fish left in the wooden bucket and An Hao still grilling another fish, while the sky in the East was already brightening, she sighed: "Didn’t get our beauty sleep..."

"Don’t you usually get by with cultivation?" He Wenyu couldn’t help but say, holding Tantan. Tantan had fallen asleep, being just a little kid, he dozed off after eating a bit.

An Hao still seemed full of energy, but as dawn approached, he was less lively compared to the night.

"I’ll go deliver this, you all go back to sleep." After An Hao finished grilling the fish, Mo said.

Qhianqhian looked at Mo: "Shall we go together? Aren’t you tired as well?"

Mo shook his head: "I’ll be quicker, and I have to head to the venue over there later anyway. You guys go have a good sleep." Saying this, he picked up the grilled fish and fresh fish.

"Alright, remember to come by for lunch. I guess we might not even be up by noon." Qhianqhian nodded, perhaps it’s been a long time since she stayed up late, and it’s not like she’s cultivating, so she really felt a bit tired, and agreed with Mo’s plan.

Mo smiled and said: "Okay, I’ll bring you lunch when I return."

With that, he departed gracefully, holding items in his hands without affecting his movements, still very elegant.

He Wenyu gathered a pile of things in front of him, patted Tantan on the back and said: "Shall we go back and make some breakfast first? Then sleep? Otherwise I’m afraid Tantan will wake up with nothing to eat."

"Sure, we’re not very sleepy either." Qhianqhian nodded, showing no intention of disagreeing, picked up An Hao: "Can your little stomach still fit breakfast?"

"I can still handle half a bowl of porridge." An Hao thought for a moment and said.

After all, mom said that breakfast is important and must be eaten.

After eating their fill, He Wenyu held Tantan, and Qhianqhian held An Hao. The four of them went straight to bed.

The old man looked at a full pot of porridge on the table, bewildered. Was all of this for him, or had they not eaten at all?

He was stunned, not daring to finish it all, fearing the kids hadn’t eaten. He specially set aside two small bowls and two medium bowls before finishing the rest.

After all, when eating porridge, He Wenyu would always add something, either diced meat or diced ham, so it tasted pretty good.

And there were two round salted duck eggs beside it, so it didn’t feel like he was being mistreated.

The old man contentedly wiped his mouth and went off to work again.

After all, times have changed... He’s the principal now, not just free to take He Wenyu to farm on a whim, demanding this or that to eat...

Having something to eat is already good, better than the food in the academy cafeteria.

By the time Qhianqhian and the others woke up, it was already noon, and Mo knocked on the door from outside, prompting them to get up.

Mo held a beautiful folding fan, admiring it as he played with it. When he saw the four of them come out, he said: "I brought you lunch, Auntie wants you to visit in the afternoon. The Nine Heavens Pavilion sent over a lot of good stuff." Saying that, he waved the folding fan in his hand.
