Chapter 531 - 205: Fifth Game Ability Inheritance

As Shen Fei’s gaze shifted, the second player also began to move their character. He saw that the character the second player controlled was, surprisingly, one from that popular MOBA game. Moreover, this character wasn’t fighting in King’s Canyon but had appeared directly in the game’s lore-based world map.

After quickly scanning the Game World’s situation, under Shen Fei’s watch, the second player guided their character through the large hole at the top of the Game World and into a new one. Then, as everyone watched, the player proceeded in a chain, entering four Game Worlds. The second player’s game had connected through a total of four others, but unfortunately, even so, their chain of worlds was at best a "local network." It hadn’t connected to the greater "internet" formed by all the linked Game Worlds, let alone shown any trace of Sky Control’s existence.

Shen Fei remembered that when he had previously counter-invaded a Game World to save his father, Zhao Li, and the others, he had found traces of Sky Control in the final world he reached. This time, his goal was to continue that search. If he could encounter Sky Control, or even communicate with it, that would be his ultimate objective.

These players, who had inherited the National Treasure Divine Artifacts, had many other matters to handle and investigate. But now, during the fifth game ability inheritance, Shen Fei’s primary objective was to find traces of Sky Control so that he could finally decide which type of game ability he should inherit.

Unfortunately, neither of the first two players had given him the answers he sought.

WHOOSH.

Frowning, Shen Fei spent nearly another hour examining the Game Worlds of the third and fourth players, and then he grew truly frustrated. Although the third and fourth players had connected to an even greater number of Game Worlds, after meticulously observing these worlds from the characters’ perspectives, he still hadn’t found any more traces of Sky Control. He had examined more than a dozen Game Worlds in all, and while he had seen all sorts of world mutations that followed the inheritance of game abilities and NPCs, he just couldn’t find what he was looking for.

"Alright!"

"Brother Huang, you follow up on the other matters. I’m heading back to Qing City first!"

"After the major monster tide erupts later, if the Divine Capital’s defenses are in trouble, I’ll come back."

A few minutes later, Shen Fei, standing beside the Teleportation Array, bid farewell to Huang Yi. Having found none of the information he was searching for, Shen Fei was anxious to leave. It was almost midnight, and he couldn’t wait any longer.

Shen Fei had arrived and was now departing in a hurry. Although there was much to discuss, Huang Yi knew this wasn’t the right time. He nodded, not trying to make him stay, and watched as Shen Fei led Sun Yu onto the Teleportation Array and departed once more.

Not even a few minutes later, Huang Yi saw his personal status panel open up. Lines of text began to scroll by; the fifth game ability inheritance that everyone had been anticipating was here once again.
