Chapter 1547: Risking Life to Save Her

When Alice Turner was finally rescued from beneath Benjamin Shaw by security guards, she discovered that Benjamin Shaw had been injured in the abdomen. The knife that had injured him was still deeply embedded there, and his white shirt was already stained with bright red blood.

"Benjamin Shaw! You..."

Alice Turner was shocked by the situation she saw, but the situation did not allow her to panic. She took a deep breath to quickly calm herself down.

She took out her phone from her pocket, preparing to dial for emergency services. At this moment, she suddenly heard that a security guard next to her had already called for emergency assistance.

Seeing that the security guard had already called for an ambulance, Alice Turner didn’t continue dialing for emergency services, and she crouched down to check Benjamin Shaw’s injuries.

Blood was continuously gushin’ out around the knife handle. Seeing the blood gurgling out, Alice Turner’s heart jumped to her throat, and her hands trembled as she tried to stop the blood from flowing.

"Benjamin Shaw! You must hold on, they’ve already called for an ambulance, it will be here soon." Not only were her hands trembling, but her lips trembled uncontrollably too.

Due to excessive blood loss, Benjamin Shaw’s face appeared extremely pale, and because of the severe pain from his abdomen, cold sweat was dripping from his forehead.

"Don’t be afraid, I... I’m fine." Bearing the pain on his body, Benjamin Shaw lifted his hand and patted Alice Turner’s trembling arm. To reassure her, he managed to squeeze out a smile.

Alice Turner didn’t feel reassured because of his smile; instead, she became even more tense and worried. Her hands were still shaking, and her whole body started trembling uncontrollably.

"Don’t talk, save your energy."

Her voice carried a noticeable tremor due to her concern for his injuries.

Alice Turner tilted her head to look towards the roadside, not seeing the ambulance anywhere, which made her even more anxious.

However, when she turned back to look at Benjamin Shaw, the anxious expression on her face slightly eased. She didn’t want to add to his stress.

Benjamin Shaw wanted to say something to her, but seeing her anxious and worried look, he took her advice and stopped talking to conserve his energy.

He felt himself growing weaker, and the scene in front of him started to blur. He shook his head, but the blur showed no signs of easing.

At this moment, the siren of an ambulance sounded.

Hearing the ambulance arriving, Alice Turner’s tense heart eased a bit. She looked down at Benjamin Shaw lying on the ground, "Benjamin Shaw! Did you hear that? The ambulance is here, you must hold on."

Just after saying these words, she saw his eyes close.

"Benjamin Shaw! Wake up."

Seeing him suddenly close his eyes and lose consciousness, her eased emotions shot back into tension. With bloodstained hands, she patted his cheeks, trying to wake him up.

But after several attempts to wake him, he remained unconscious, and her panic and fear escalated.

The ambulance sped to the hotel entrance and stopped, with doctors quickly getting out to attend to the unconscious Benjamin Shaw.

After quickly checking Benjamin Shaw’s injuries, the doctor immediately stopped the bleeding and then lifted the unconscious Benjamin onto the ambulance with a stretcher.

Without any hesitation, Alice Turner got into the ambulance, anxiously sitting beside and looking at the unconscious Benjamin Shaw.

"Miss! Your hand is injured, let me treat it." A nurse next to Alice Turner noticed her blood-covered hands and assumed she was injured.

She shook her head: "The blood on my hands is my friend’s."
