Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 303: Ch 302: Familiar Faces
"We will need to clean this place up—"
"Allow me. I think I have more than enough magic left to pull that off."
Kael pointed out as he let his magic flow. Using magic without having to worry about the mana cost felt great, and Kael’s body felt lighter and freer. He wanted to bask in this feeling for a bit longer, but he was forced to come back to earth soon.
He looked at the unconscious Leon and Tyson before letting out a sigh.
"We should take them somewhere safe for now...and also get you some clothes to change into. Do you have any idea of what is happening here? Or where are we?"
Kael asked Elena, who nodded.
"I have seen this place in your memories before, so I think I can adapt quickly. As for what is going on...we should exchange information once Leon is awake. He knows much more about all of this compared to me."
Elena pointed out, and Kael nodded before he grabbed Leon’s body, only to find that he could not pick him up.
"Darn it. Ugh, I don’t care anymore. I am just going to use magic."
Using magic to move Leon and Tyson was far more convenient. But what made Kael sigh even louder was the look on Elena’s face.
"Don’t say anything."
He warned Elena, who kept her mouth shut and followed after him with a smile on her face.
...
In the end, the place Kael took the trio to was his greenhouse, mostly because that was the only place that felt appropriate.
He did not want to take them to a hotel and explain what happened. Nor did he want to take them to his house because the place was not clean.
Luckily, he had gotten quite a bit of investment in his greenhouse, and it had beds for humans to lay down on.
That was where Kael threw Leon and Tyson’s bodies before checking up on them using his magic.
"I cannot sense any irregularity. That means they are fine and will wake up soon. What about you? Do you feel fine as well?"
Kael asked Elena, who shook her head as she flexed her hands.
"I am fine. As you can see, my motor functions are not compromised. However, we cannot rule out the side effects of this magic just yet. I—"
"Ugh, what happened to me? My whole body hurts—"
Officer Tyson started to wake up in the middle of Elena’s words, and they both turned their attention to him.
It took a few seconds for Officer Tyson to wake up, but once he did, he was instantly alert. He turned his body and took out his gun to aim at Elena.
"Who are you, and where are we? Did you knock me out using sleeping gas? What is your objective—"
"Officer Tyson, it is fine. This person is my acquaintance and another magician...of sorts, like me. She is not a danger to us, so you can lower your gun."
Kael assured the officer, who still looked shaken, but he decided to trust Kael’s words and relaxed a little.
"I see. So she’s someone you know? So, where are we...Holy hell! That is my face. Did I have a twin I was not aware of?"
Officer Tyson asked as he looked at Leon’s unconscious body. He poked Leon’s cheeks, which made the hero frown and slap that hand away.
"About that...you might want to check your face in the mirror."
Kael told Officer Tyson, who realized what was happening and quickly grabbed a mirror. He looked at his reflection for a few seconds before letting out a scoff.
"This...is me? No way! I look just like I did before that magic bullshit...then this person...?"
Kael sighed and decided to explain what was happening in as much detail as he could.
"The reason you took on that appearance was due to magic resonance. Leon, that unconscious person beside you, was trying to connect to this world, and your wavelength got caught up in it. Don’t worry. They are not enemies but fellow fighters who want to defeat the corruption."
Kael assured Tyson, who breathed shakily.
"You know. This all sounds far too unreal at the moment. But since I have the proof in front of me, I have no choice but to believe this bullshit, right? Is there any other mind-blowing fact you want to tell me about?"
Tyson asked, and Kael almost opened his mouth to say more, but then he decided against it.
There were some things that were best left unsaid at this point.
Sigh
"I see. So this is all because of the corruption as well. So, what’s the plan?"
Officer Tyson asked, and Kael looked at Leon’s unconscious body.
"For now, we will need to wait for Leon to wake up. He will be able to shed more light on what is happening and hopefully have a way to resolve the situation. Until then, we should rest."
Kael pointed out, causing Officer Tyson to let out another sigh.
"That is easy for you to say, kid. You are not the one who needs to go back and clean up that messy funeral. I bet the higher-ups have already heard about what happened and are waiting to tear me apart. I will come back here in a few hours."
Tyson slowly got off the bed, still looking at his unfamiliar reflection in the mirror as if he was hoping his original face would somehow return if he stared at it long enough.
Kael watched him with a mixture of amusement and sympathy before speaking.
"Try not to cause too much trouble when you get back. You are still technically the one responsible for whatever happened there."
"Technically? I was unconscious for most of it! Ugh, but those higher ups won’t care. God! I feel like I am in for a chewing session."
Tyson complained before walking toward the door, but he suddenly stopped and looked back at Kael.
"Just...make sure you figure this out before I come back. I want a quick but good summary of what is happening here."
