[R18] King's Domination
Chapter 321: As Usual It Becomes a Fuss
He lay face down in the road, breathing hard. His shoulders rose and fell large. A sound came from his mouth and he spat a clot of blood. Because the sword was in his neck he could not turn his head? When I pulled the sword, blood sprayed. But it weakened at once. He turned his face toward me and closed his eyes at once. He looked as if he wanted to say something, but he died without saying it.
I felt as if something had flowed in from this one.

"Fuuu."
I let out a large breath. I had jumped down from the wall and had not breathed until here. This area would be covered in blood, surely.
At last lights began to come on at House Schult.
"C-calm down!"
Dee said it to me, but you are the most hurried one. Was he thinking he would be blamed by Her Majesty again?
"Just wait here. When I was in the Marie Kingdom, this kind of thing happened any number of times."
I said it so he would calm, but,
"This kind of thing any number of times? Aaaah, I should not have spoken to you..."
Dee looked ready to cry. I should not have said it happened any number of times. Indeed, a prince with that much trouble experience at home is not something to praise. Thinking he had gotten involved with that problem child, despair was not strange.
Apart from that, beyond the wall, inside House Schult it grew bright.
"What!?"
"Where did these ones come from!?"
"What happened!?"
shouts rose.
Hoooi. I jumped onto the wall.
"Is Marquis Schult there? I am Robin Marie. Robin Marie, serving as ambassador of the Marie Kingdom!"
I shouted toward the lights. Several lights were put on my face, then there was noisy talk beyond the lights, and,
"Lord Marie, why is Lord Marie here? And why are these people here? Do you know?"
someone from among the people in the garden asked. I did not think this was the Marquis himself, so a steward or someone.
"Yes. In fact I was on watch in the noble quarter with Lord Derek May of the palace. Then we found a suspicious group, followed them, and when they tried to enter Marquis Schult’s residence I shot them with arrows. Some went into the residence. There are the thieves’ comrades in the front road. Please confirm. And I am very sorry, but could you contact the guard about this?"
At my talk the noisy consult began again. Then the same voice as before answered,
"Understood. I will contact them. I will call the Marquis now, so could you wait? And is Lord May there?"
"Understood. I will wait."
I sat on the wall. Putting out the name of someone tied to the palace seemed to have worked, but I also heard voices saying who is May?, so it may not have helped much. Maybe I, who made a huge fuss at the neighboring Kirchhoff count’s residence, have higher name recognition?
The gate of the marquis’s residence opened, servants came out from inside, and they were surprised seeing people down. Then they were more surprised seeing them down bleeding. Some turned their faces away.
The one with the voice from before found Dee and talked. Everyone looked at Lily standing beside him, and no one spoke to her. Well. Standing at midnight in a maid uniform, bathed in blood, you would be too frightened to speak. Bloody Lily.
"Lord Marie, could you come down?"
I was asked and went down, and the person with that voice said,
"I serve as steward of House Schult. Robert Taylor. This is our first meeting."
He greeted me politely. However you looked at me now I was a suspicious youth, but I seemed to be trusted.
"My master will come soon, so please wait a while. Then I would like to ask one thing. Did Lord Marie cut all of these corpses?"
"Yes. They came at me, so I had no choice. I am sorry for dirtying the front of the mansion."
"No, no. We thank you for stopping the thieves’ entry."
He bowed his head deep.
"You do not suspect me?"
"Not at all. For clearing out the thieves alone we must be grateful. Whoever you are, you removed people who meant harm to this house. And there is no one in this house who does not know Lord Marie."
When he said it, I thought I see. This steward whispered to someone beside him, and that person ran and vanished into the residence.
After we waited a while, Marquis Schult came out the gate through lighting arranged as bright as day. He frowned for an instant seeing the corpses, then his face went calm at once.
"This is Lord Marie. I hear you cleared out thieves who tried to enter this house? I cannot thank you enough. I will call on you again with thanks. Is that May over there? Good grief. You never run out of hardship either."
For some reason Marquis Schult put words of sympathy on Dee. Strange. Why does Dee never run out of hardship? I am aware I only have hardship, but is Dee having hardship to match me? Is this what they call fellow sufferers pitying each other? Ah. I was not pitying Dee.

At noon the next day there was a summons from Her Majesty. I had not been told the business, but I knew. It was House Schult, for sure. Dee had surely told. Had he spoken first, before Her Majesty shouted at him, to have his sin lightened? No. That was strange. I had not done anything bad, so thinking the talk would go on the premise of a scolding was odd. I should be praised, not scolded... I think not... surely not... I want to think not.
With a dark feeling that would not clear, I rode the carriage.
