Profound Heaven Soul Sovereign
Chapter 619: Xiuyi Pavilion
To his astonishment, Ye Xuan discovered that his body had suddenly appeared inside the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror. It had become translucent, and the ten Profound Veins within him, along with the routes and process of his Profound’s circulation, were all clearly displayed in his mind.
But he quickly realized this wasn’t his real body inside the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror, but rather a projection of it.
However, while it was a projection, it was identical to his physical body in every way. In other words, the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror was like a magical mirror, clearly reflecting every aspect of his body into this space.
’What a miraculous mirror.’
Ye Xuan couldn’t help but feel shocked. Within the mirror, the circulation routes of the Profound in his body were clearly presented in his mind, and its interactions with his Profound Veins were completely unobstructed from view.
In truth, as an Alchemist and even a Soul Refiner, Ye Xuan was fully capable of introspection. However, his introspection could only clearly observe the strength and flow of his Profound in various areas. The Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror, on the other hand, perfectly presented his entire body, forming a complete whole.
What surprised Ye Xuan even more was that besides his Profound and Profound Veins, the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror even clearly displayed his bones, bloodline, and even his microscopic cells.
It even showed, without a doubt, which parts of his body were more powerfully cultivated and which were relatively weaker.
He quietly circulated the Nine Profound Sovereign Art. The Profound inside the body shown in the bronze mirror’s space also began to circulate rapidly. The speed, strength, and interaction with his Profound Veins were all exceptionally clear.
It even seemed to have a sort of predictive effect.
Inside the bronze mirror’s world, Ye Xuan had a distinct feeling, as if he knew exactly how he should circulate his Profound and how to cultivate to maximize the effectiveness of the Nine Profound Sovereign Art.
Afterward, he tried circulating the Nine Revolutions Sacred Body and achieved the same effect.
’This is definitely a supreme treasure.’
Ye Xuan affirmed in his heart, utterly shocked.
It was safe to say that any Martial Artist who possessed the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror would see their cultivation speed more than double, and they would have no risk of cultivation deviation.
This was because the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror could present the most perfect method of circulation for any Cultivation Technique in the owner’s mind, allowing them to avoid all dangerous circulation paths in advance.
"Hahaha."
Ye Xuan couldn’t help but laugh aloud on the Alchemy Flying Ship. He was certain that Liang Yu of Infinite Mountain had failed to break the Restriction circuits within the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror and learn of its true function. Otherwise, when Liang Yu was leaving, he would never have retrieved the Seven-Colored Banner Scroll before trying to take the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror.
If he had truly known the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror’s function, he would have been unwilling to leave it behind, even if it meant death.
After cultivating with the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror for a while, Ye Xuan could clearly feel that the speed at which the Profound inside him increased was more than double what it was before.
After a Martial Artist broke through to the Tier Seven Martial King realm, the amount of Profound required for each new layer was an astonishing figure. Therefore, advancing through the Martial King stage was not something that could be accomplished overnight.
But now, with the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror, the time Ye Xuan needed to break through to the Second Layer would be cut by about half.
This was an effect that no other treasure could provide.
In the days that followed, Ye Xuan cultivated silently with the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror.
In addition to simulating the Nine Profound Sovereign Art and the Nine Revolutions Sacred Body, Ye Xuan also practiced some of the Cultivation Techniques he knew from his previous life within it.
In his past life, Ye Xuan had already cultivated these Cultivation Techniques and martial arts to their absolute peak. From his perspective, they had reached a point where improvement was impossible.
However, upon practicing them in the Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror, he was shocked to discover that his mastery of some of the Cultivation Techniques and martial arts from his previous life had not reached its limit at all.
’This Vast Light Grand Thousand Mirror is too damn amazing. And the key is, I’ve only undone a third of the Restrictions inside. If I were to gain complete control over it, would there be even more special changes?’
Ye Xuan couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation.
「Half a month later.」
Ye Xuan and his group finally arrived at Celestial Capital Prefecture.
"This is Celestial Capital Prefecture?"
Standing at the bow of the Alchemy Flying Ship, Ge Puzi and the others stared dumbfounded at the enormous city before them, deeply shaken.
The entire Celestial Capital Prefecture stretched for an unknown number of miles; as far as the eye could see, there was no end to it.
In the bustling city, all sorts of buildings towered high, and an imposing, majestic aura washed over them.
Led by Su Xiuyi, Ge Puzi and the others put away the Alchemy Flying Ship and arrived at the city gate.
The area before the gate was bustling with people and carriages, filled with Martial Artists of all kinds.
Ye Xuan’s group of forty was completely inconspicuous here. They quickly completed the entry procedures and entered the city.
Celestial Capital Prefecture was extremely prosperous. The crowds were immense, and almost everyone was a Martial Artist. Even those who looked like commoners possessed a cultivation of the Second or Third Tier.
Furthermore, Ye Xuan could tell that the entire Celestial Capital Prefecture was likely situated atop a massive Profound Vein, making the Profound Qi exceptionally dense. Most areas in the city were also covered by Profound Sense and no-fly Restrictions, clearly to prohibit Martial Artists from scanning the area at will with their Profound Sense.
The tiers of these Restrictions were extremely high, and they gave off an ancient feeling, as if they had existed since a time long past. Moreover, the one who had set them up must have been an extremely powerful formation grandmaster.
Not only was Ye Xuan’s Profound Sense unable to scan the entire city, but even if it could, he wouldn’t have dared to do so.
On the streets here, one could casually spot Martial Artists at the Tier Six Martial Venerable level. Tier Four and Tier Five Martial Artists were as common as blades of grass, and one could even see some Tier Seven Martial Kings from time to time. Clearly, a Martial King was nothing special here.
Of course, Tier Eight Martial Emperors were much less common, but not unheard of. At the very least, along the way, Ye Xuan had faintly sensed several auras that surpassed a Martial King’s, which had to be from Martial Emperor experts.
Everyone followed behind Su Xiuyi, clearly deferring to his lead.
"My medicine pavilion in Celestial Capital Prefecture is in the West City. It will probably take several hours of flying to get there, so let’s go rent a flying carriage first."
After speaking, Su Xiuyi led them directly to a rather bustling storefront. It was clearly a commerce association that had many flying carriages available. After spending one hundred Lower Grade Profound Stones to rent one, the group boarded the vehicle and quickly set off toward the West City.
Along the way, from their flying carriage, Qingfeng and the others saw many Martial Artists flying directly above the streets. Qingfeng couldn’t help but ask in surprise, "Huh? Isn’t Celestial Capital Prefecture a no-fly zone? Why are so many people flying directly through the air?"
Dongfang Xuan said, "A no-fly zone is a no-fly zone, but it’s surely not enforced everywhere."
"Oh?" Su Xiuyi, who had been about to explain, let out a sound of surprise. He then turned to Dongfang Xuan with a smile and asked, "And why is that?"
Dongfang Xuan smiled. "It’s quite simple. Look at Celestial Capital Prefecture. It’s enormous. On the surface, it’s a city, but in reality, it’s comparable to some imperial provinces. If flying weren’t allowed, wouldn’t it take many days to walk from one side of the prefecture to the other? Therefore, for everyone’s convenience, there must be some areas where flying is permitted."
"Haha," Su Xiuyi immediately burst out laughing. "Dongfang Xuan is right. You truly live up to your title as President of the Divine Walk Commerce Association. Just as you said, Celestial Capital Prefecture is too large. To make travel convenient, flying is permitted on some of the main thoroughfares. You’ll all get used to it later."
Dongfang Xuan smiled and said, "It was just a guess."
Still, Dongfang Xuan was the President of the Divine Walk Commerce Association, after all. In some respects, his thinking was indeed more thorough than the others’.
After several hours of travel, the flying carriage finally stopped in the West City district. They returned the carriage to a branch of the rental association, and Su Xiuyi led Ye Xuan and the others into the district.
Celestial Capital Prefecture was vast, so it was naturally divided into more and less prosperous areas. The West City district, compared to some of the regions Ye Xuan and his group had passed through earlier, was noticeably more ordinary.
"My Xiuyi Pavilion is just ahead."
Su Xiuyi said with a smile to Ye Xuan and the others as they rounded a corner.
The group walked forward and found a shop with a respectable-looking storefront. The entrance was bustling with a jostling crowd, and many people were gathered around.
"Looks like business is good," Ge Puzi said with a smile. But suddenly, with a BANG, a loud crash echoed from inside the shop, and the crowd erupted in an uproar.
The smile on Su Xiuyi’s face froze, and his expression immediately darkened. "Something’s happened."
Without a word to Ge Puzi and the others, he pushed his way into the crowd.
Ye Xuan and the others also pushed their way in.
"Look at this! It was a fake Pill from your Xiuyi Pavilion that killed my brother! I’m here today to demand an explanation!"
Inside Xiuyi Pavilion, a large group of menacing Martial Artists stood in the main hall. A corpse was laid out on the floor—a middle-aged man with a blackened face, foaming at the mouth. He had clearly been dead for some time.
From the looks of it, he seemed to have been poisoned.
Facing the group of Martial Artists was a group of Xiuyi Pavilion’s managers and clerks, all of whom looked panicked and at a loss for what to do.
"Xu Wenlin, my Xiuyi Pavilion has been in business for nearly twenty years. When have we ever sold fake Pills? There must be some kind of misunderstanding," one of the managers stepped forward and said in a heavy voice.
The manager’s face was grim. This group was a rather famous adventurer party from the West City of Celestial Capital Prefecture. Their leader was Xu Wenlin, a Tier Seven Third Layer Martial King who held a not-insignificant reputation in the West City.
He had known how serious the situation was from the moment they carried a dead body into the shop.
"Wouldn’t sell fake Pills? Then what about my brother’s life? Do you think I’d joke about my own brother’s death? If you at Xiuyi Pavilion don’t give me a satisfactory explanation today, I will tear this place apart!" Xu Wenlin said coldly.
"Tear Xiuyi Pavilion apart!"
The adventurers around Xu Wenlin also roared in anger, their voices booming like thunder. Judging by their furious expressions, their anger did not seem fake in the slightest.
The surrounding crowd immediately burst into discussion.
