Primordial Heir: Nine Stars
Chapter 515: Wind versus Wind 2
The Griffin stared.
Nero vanished.
He appeared above it.
His sword descended.
The Griffin raised its wings.
CLANG!
The blade struck.
The monster was forced downward.
Nero followed.
They fell through the sky.
The fight fight was becoming more intense.
The Griffin recovered.
Its wings opened.
A massive gust stopped its descent.
Nero did the same.
Both hovered again.
They stared at each other.
The fight had changed.
The Griffin had realized something.
Raw Wind attacks wouldn’t defeat Nero.
Nero had realized something too.
He couldn’t simply overpower the Griffin.
They were both masters of Wind.
The difference would come down to ingenuity.
The Griffin suddenly folded its wings.
The air around its body began spinning.
A massive tornado formed.
Nero watched.
The tornado grew.
Ten meters.
Twenty.
Fifty.
A hundred.
The Griffin disappeared inside it.
The entire sky became a rotating storm.
Nero’s clothes whipped violently.
The pressure became immense.
The tornado expanded toward him.
Nero raised his sword.
He didn’t attack.
He watched.
He felt.
The storm had a center.
A point where the pressure was weakest.
Nero’s eyes sharpened.
He lowered his sword.
Wind gathered around his body.
Instead of opposing the tornado—
He entered it.
BOOM!
His body disappeared into the storm.
The Griffin sensed him.
Wind blades appeared everywhere.
Nero twisted through them.
The tornado became a maze.
Every current moved unpredictably.
But Nero could feel everything.
He wasn’t fighting the storm.
He was moving with it.
One current pushed him left.
He allowed it.
Another accelerated him upward.
He accepted it.
A third spun him around.
He used the momentum.
Then—
He reached the center.
The Griffin appeared.
Their eyes met.
Nero’s sword was already moving.
The Griffin raised its claws.
CLANG!
The collision shook the storm.
The Griffin pushed forward.
Nero’s sword trembled.
The monster had greater physical strength.
Nero released the pressure.
His sword moved with the Griffin’s claws instead of against them.
The monster’s attack slid away.
Nero stepped forward.
His elbow struck the Griffin’s chest.
The impact wasn’t powerful by itself.
But Wind exploded behind it.
BOOM!
The Griffin was thrown backward.
Nero pursued.
The monster attacked.
Nero dodged.
The Griffin spun.
Nero followed.
They moved through the tornado at incredible speed.
Claws.
Sword.
Wind blades.
Pressure waves.
Every attack collided with another.
The sky shook continuously.
Then the Griffin made its final move.
It gathered all the surrounding Wind.
The enormous tornado collapsed inward.
Every current converged toward its body.
Nero’s eyes widened.
The Griffin was compressing the entire storm.
The pressure became terrifying.
Then—
It released everything.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
A massive explosion of Wind spread across the sky.
The clouds vanished.
The surrounding mountains shook.
For several seconds, there was nothing but white air.
Then—
A figure emerged.
Nero.
His clothes were torn in several places.
His breathing was heavier.
But he was still standing.
The Griffin charged.
Nero looked at it.
He understood.
The Griffin had just made its final mistake.
It had gathered all the Wind into one attack.
Which meant—
The surrounding atmosphere had briefly become almost still.
Nero smiled.
He spread his hand.
The air around the Griffin changed.
The monster suddenly felt its movement become sluggish.
Its wings struggled.
Its speed dropped.
Nero wasn’t attacking it.
He was controlling the air around it.
He increased the pressure in front of the monster.
Reduced it behind.
Then reversed it.
The Griffin’s flight became unstable.
It attempted to break free.
Nero increased the pressure again.
The monster was trapped in an invisible current.
Nero moved.
The Wind carried him forward.
His sword became surrounded by an extremely thin layer of compressed air.
He swung.
SHING!
The blade never touched the Griffin.
It didn’t need to.
The compressed Wind extended the sword’s reach.
The Griffin was struck by the invisible edge and thrown backward.
Nero followed.
The Griffin attempted another attack.
Nero redirected it.
It attacked again.
He redirected it.
Again.
Again.
Every attack became another current he could manipulate.
The Griffin slowly realized what was happening.
The longer the fight continued—
The more of the battlefield belonged to Nero.
He wasn’t simply fighting the Griffin anymore.
He was controlling the environment around it.
The monster roared.
Nero disappeared.
A gust carried him behind it.
He swung.
The Griffin turned.
Another gust carried him above it.
He swung.
The Griffin blocked.
Nero vanished again.
He appeared beneath it.
His sword rose.
BOOM!
The Griffin was launched upward.
Nero followed.
He reached the same height.
Then—
He stopped.
The surrounding Wind became completely still.
The Griffin couldn’t move.
Nero had created a zone where every current of Wind was under his control.
The monster struggled.
Its wings moved.
Nothing happened.
Nero slowly raised his sword.
Wind gathered around the blade.
Not a massive amount.
Not an overwhelming storm.
Just a thin, incredibly compressed layer.
His eyes remained calm.
The Griffin looked at him.
For a moment—
Neither moved.
Then Nero swung.
SHING!
A single invisible arc passed through the air.
The Griffin’s body stopped moving.
The storm disappeared.
The monster began falling.
Nero descended with it.
He landed first.
The Griffin crashed onto the ground several meters away.
Silence returned.
Nero looked at the defeated monster.
He slowly raised his hand.
Wind gathered around the Griffin.
But instead of destroying it—
The air began pulling its essence apart.
The monster’s body dissolved into streams of energy.
They flowed toward Nero.
The Griffin resisted.
Nero’s eyes sharpened.
He didn’t force it.
He guided the energy.
The Wind around him carried the monster’s essence.
Slowly—
The Griffin disappeared.
A shadow formed behind Nero.
A massive winged silhouette emerged from it.
The Griffin had become another Shadow Slave.
Nero looked at the creature.
The black-and-golden shadow spread its wings.
Wind immediately gathered around it.
Nero smiled.
Another powerful addition to his army.
But the real reward wasn’t the Griffin.
It was the battle.
Nero looked toward the sky.
He had learned something important.
When two wielders possessed the same Law, strength alone wasn’t enough.
The one who understood the Law better would control the battlefield.
The Griffin had treated Wind as a weapon.
Nero had begun treating it as an environment.
That difference had decided the battle.
He raised his hand.
A gentle breeze passed between his fingers.
Nero closed his eyes.
For the first time, he didn’t merely feel the wind.
He understood its movement.
And somewhere within his inner world, the emerald star pulsed brighter.
The Law of Wind had begun to truly recognize its new owner.
