Primordial Heir: Nine Stars
Chapter 512: Understanding the Law of Wind 1
Nero immediately sat down in meditation.
But before entering his consciousness, he spread his senses across the surrounding area.
His perception covered everything within several kilometers.
Nothing escaped his awareness.
Every fluctuation of prana.
Every movement.
Every change in the air.
He wasn’t going to make some novice mistake.
The pocket world was dangerous.
Even though he had already defeated countless powerful monsters, there was no guarantee that something stronger wouldn’t suddenly appear.
Nero opened his eyes.
Two of his Shadow Slaves emerged from the ground.
The fake black dragon and the White-Horned Wolf.
They stood several meters away from him.
Nero didn’t need to speak.
The two creatures understood their task.
Guard him.
If anything approached, they would alert him immediately.
Only after confirming that everything was secure did Nero close his eyes.
His consciousness descended.
Deeper.
And deeper.
Until the world around him disappeared.
His consciousness entered his inner world.
The scenery was almost unchanged.
The enormous vortex of prana continued rotating at the center of his inner universe.
Around it floated the nine stars.
But one of them was different.
The fifth star.
The green star.
It pulsated with enormous power.
BOOM.
A wave of green energy spread across the inner universe.
BOOM.
Another followed.
The star had completely awakened.
Nero’s eyes remained fixed on it.
The Law of Wind.
His fifth Law finally free.
He had already experienced the terrifying versatility of Darkness.
Now he wondered what Wind truly meant.
Nero moved.
His consciousness crossed the distance between the stars.
The moment he approached the green star—
A violent wind erupted.
His black hair whipped backward.
His clothes fluttered.
The air itself seemed alive.
Nero didn’t resist.
He stepped forward.
His body entered the green star.
The world changed instantly.
There was no ground.
No sky.
No horizon.
Only green light.
Endless green light.
Nero floated within a vast world of emerald energy.
Wind moved in every direction.
There was no beginning.
No end.
The air was everywhere.
It surrounded him.
Passed through him.
Moved around him.
Nero slowly opened his eyes.
Then he saw it.
A dragon.
An enormous emerald dragon floated in the distance.
Its body was so large that Nero couldn’t see its entire form at once.
Its scales were brilliant green, resembling polished emeralds.
Two enormous horns curved backward from its head.
Its wings were enormous, but strangely enough, they weren’t what kept it suspended.
The dragon simply floated.
As though gravity itself had no authority over it.
Its long body moved gently through the green sky.
Then its eyes opened.
Golden pupils appeared within emerald irises.
The pressure instantly descended.
Nero’s hair moved violently.
The entire world seemed to tremble.
Yet the dragon’s presence was completely different from Nyx’s.
Nyx’s presence had been oppressive.
Heavy.
Absolute.
This dragon felt like standing beneath an endless sky.
Vast.
Free.
Unrestrained.
The dragon lowered its head.
Its enormous eyes looked directly at Nero.
Then it spoke.
Its voice wasn’t loud.
Yet it seemed to come from everywhere.
"I welcome the heir. I am Aezrion, the Sovereign of the Eternal Wind."
Nero stared at the ancient dragon.
Aezrion.
The name echoed through his consciousness.
Before Nero could respond—
The dragon smiled.
Then its enormous body began dissolving.
Green light erupted from its scales.
Its wings.
Its horns.
Its eyes.
Everything became light.
Nero’s expression changed.
The entire dragon transformed into a gigantic stream of emerald energy.
It rushed toward him.
Nero instinctively raised his hand.
The green light entered his body.
BOOOOOOM!
His consciousness trembled.
Information flooded into his mind.
Not words.
Understanding.
He suddenly understood.
Wind wasn’t simply air.
It was movement.
Freedom.
Pressure.
Acceleration.
The movement of energy.
The movement of particles.
The movement of storms.
Wind could be gentle enough to pass across someone’s skin without being noticed.
Or powerful enough to tear apart mountains.
It could carry sound.
It could erase sound.
It could accelerate the body.
It could sharpen a blade.
It could compress into a destructive force.
It could become invisible.
It could surround an enemy without them realizing it.
Nero’s eyes widened.
The deeper he understood—
The more possibilities he saw.
Wind was everywhere.
As long as there was movement—
There was Wind.
Nero slowly closed his eyes.
Then—
The green world disappeared.
---
He opened his eyes again.
He was standing somewhere else.
The world was completely different.
A gigantic landscape stretched before him.
Green plains.
Floating islands.
Massive mountains suspended in the sky.
Clouds moving at incredible speeds.
Storms forming and disappearing within seconds.
Lightning occasionally flashed inside distant clouds.
The air was constantly moving.
Nero stood at the center.
He looked around.
There were no monsters.
No enemies.
No opponent waiting for him.
Then he understood.
This was different from the trial of Darkness.
Darkness had forced him to fight.
Wind would force him to understand.
The air moved around him.
Nero raised his hand.
A gentle breeze touched his palm.
He tried to control it.
Nothing happened.
His eyes narrowed.
He tried again.
Still nothing.
The wind continued moving.
Nero frowned.
He attempted to force his prana into it.
The wind suddenly exploded.
BOOM!
A powerful gust threw him backward.
Nero landed.
He looked toward the sky.
His expression became serious.
Wind didn’t want to be controlled.
That was the first lesson.
Darkness could be shaped.
Wind needed to be guided.
Nero raised his hand again.
This time, he didn’t force anything.
He simply allowed his prana to flow into the surrounding air.
The wind moved.
Slowly.
A small current formed around his fingers.
Nero’s eyes sharpened.
He moved his hand.
The current followed.
He moved it left.
The wind followed.
He moved it upward.
It followed.
A faint smile appeared.
He understood.
The Wind Law didn’t respond to force.
It responded to intent and movement.
Nero began experimenting.
A small current became a larger one.
A larger one became a spiral.
The spiral accelerated.
It became a small vortex.
Nero compressed it.
The vortex became smaller.
Smaller.
Smaller.
Until it was only the size of his palm.
Yet the pressure inside was tremendous.
Nero released it.
BOOM!
