Chapter 976: Bloodline Suppression

Chapter 976: Bloodline Suppression

Perhaps, because Kent hadn’t faced this many odds before, he seemed to have underestimated his opponents. Follow current novels on novel⸺fire.net

However, now, after using all 23,700 flame veins, yet he was having a hard time resisting the onslaught from the Tier 19 beasts, he recognised that perhaps he shouldn’t look down on Supreme High worlds… yet.

Kent always knew that when it comes to cultivation, there is always someone better.

He might be able to suppress everyone using just his flame veins. However, there may come someone he cannot easily suppress.

Of course, if he were to form a Blood Core gate, Flame Core, and other things, he could suppress that person, too.

But yet again, a time might come when yet another person will come, and all these things will not be enough to suppress them.

Naturally, that is when his bloodline will come in.

Currently, he has awakened 18% of his bloodline and can harness up to 9% of it. That is impressive, but as his last trump card, he is inclined to use it only when he truly needs to.

’This is so embarrassing,’ Kent said inwardly as he caught the green spear with his clawed hands.

’To think I will be forced to use my bloodline by these beasts.’ It pained his heart that he was forced to use his bloodline.

Of course, he wasn’t putting everything on the line simply because he didn’t want to kill three of the beasts.

If he were to use ’Soul Explosion,’ the likelihood of him killing them is high. Then again, if he were to use ’Blood Chaos Aura’ or ’Blood Sword Aura,’ the attacks would be too fatal.

That is not his endgame, so suppressing them is the most logical course of action.

But his current strength had proven inadequate.

However, now with just 2% of his bloodline unleashed, all the beasts around him fell to their knees, including the two Nagas.

Zeroth’s colossal body fell hard on the ground, and he quickly turned back to his human form to minimise the damage.

“You-you are a dragon,” Vashara said, her face pale.

“Please don’t insult me.” Kent sneered, an arrogant expression painting his face, “Calling me a dragon is an understatement. I am a True Primordial, do well to remember that.”

Perhaps due to his bloodline currently at 18%, his arrogance started to surface. Of course, there is the part where he began spending most of his time reviewing Chaos memories.

Perhaps that was also having an effect on him. However, although he sounded arrogant, he does have the power to claim he is a True Primordial.

“Sorry for offending this senior. But we were just following orders,” Niraya said, holding her left hand. Kent saw this and knew what she was doing.

“I know you are just biding time for your monarch to appear. Naturally, that is what I also wanted. So tell her to hurry.

I will wait for her.”

Kent stood with his hands crossed behind him. His bloodline was suppressing the bloodline of the beasts, so none posed a threat to him.

Of course, Kent knew the longer it remained that way, the more adaptive they would become. However, he still has 7% more he can use, so for now, they can bide their time and hope for the best.

After all, one could only hope.

Deep in the Core region, Sylvara, the Scarlet Flame Serpent Monarch, moved out of her cave abode and sped toward the inner region.

Aside from being summoned by her two subordinates, she sensed a terrifying presence appear inside her domain.

This prompted her to move toward the source much faster.

In the other two regions inside the Serpent’s Coil Valley, the other two Kings and 12 Tier 19 subordinates each also sensed the danger, so they moved toward it.

They knew it was coming from the Venomous Gorge, but knowing that a danger in the domain they ruled was under attack caused them to move toward the danger.

Better to handle it as a group than to wait for it to come back and bite them in the ass individually.

It would take the Monarch 5 minutes and the Kings a little over 7 minutes, but knowing the danger was there was forcing them to hurry.

[The Ashfall Range – Ignarok]

Meanwhile, inside the most dreadful place in the Flame Sea, the Black Flame Dragon King, known by all his subordinates and rivals as Ignarok, the Ashen Tyrant, was having a normal day like every other beast when his hair suddenly stood on end.

“What in the hell?” His face paled instantly.

The reason for this reaction was that his bloodline had just reacted to something he never knew was possible.

It is a known fact that in all of the Flame Sea, Ignarok is the strongest and the most dangerous Monarch. He also has terrifying subordinates.

For such a beast to feel this reaction and even pale said everything.

“I am feeling fear. But that is impossible. There is nothing in this world or outside that can make me feel fear.”

Ignarok frowned, looking toward the direction of the Serpent Coil Valley where the feeling was coming from.

If he were to move toward the location Kent was at, it would take him a month, even if he were to move at top speed.

The Flame Sea is vast and extremely dangerous. He may be a Monarch, which in this case will cancel out the danger. But he can’t magically get to the domain of the Scarlet Flame Serpent Beast.

He had to fly there, and that would take too long.

“Serythra, come here.” Ignarok, instead, chose to send one of his personal guards instead.

A graceful woman with silver-black hair that flowed down like ash smoke, wearing pale skin, walked into the room. She knelt before the Dragon Monarch…

“You called, Monarch.”

“Yes. Go to the domain of that Serpent bitch and investigate the feeling you are sensing at the moment. If anyone dares block your path, kill them, and if their Monarchs dare make a fuss about it, report to me immediately.”

Serythra nodded and walked away. When she was outside, her dragon wings appeared, and she flew away, heading into the distance.

Once she was gone, Ignarok sat back in his bone throne and sighed…

“Whoever this thing is, they must be handled soon, or else I can’t feel at peace in my own domain.” As a dragon who prided himself on being the peak existence in the Flame Sea, his status could not be shaken, not by the unknown.

Naturally, he wasn’t the only one who made this move.

All other Monarchs inside the Flame Sea who sensed this presence sent someone to investigate.

They all felt that primal fear. It was as if an apex predator had appeared, causing all of them to feel their positions as Monarchs threatened.

There may be people outside of Planet Cosima who can rival them. However, inside the Flame Sea, they are the rule, and the rule cannot be threatened that easily.

If only they knew the danger they sensed was but the tip of the iceberg.

Kent may be restricted at the moment simply because he planned on fulfilling his quest of taming the seven Monarchs, 14 guards, and 21 Kings and Queens.

If he were there to kill, as he initially planned, then once his Blood Core gate formed, which he would recognise as someone who had refined their core, perhaps then they would have felt what fear is.

Kent is slowly growing stronger, and soon, he will become undisputed even in a Dragon-dominated Supreme High World.
