Chapter 1112: Glimpse of the Truth
Kent smiled inwardly, watching the message.
Before the shadow affinity, he had Flame and Lightning affinity. However, aside from the flame, he had made no plans to focus on the lightning.
Perhaps he hadn’t had much opportunity with the lightning element. However, with the flame, he made so much progress.
Now, he had attained shadow affinity, which was perfect for his nature as the faceless assassin.
’Thank you, Unity,’ Kent sighed and decided to do something he had been putting off for a while now.
’Tower, if I want to review the next part of my memories as Chaos, how would it be?’ Kent asked the tower, knowing full well he could not experience what he had been through in the last memory.
It was either he got a Memory Diary or a POV in the third person, where he would get to watch the memory happen. If that were the case, then he was ready to see what happened next.
⟦The master can choose between a Memory Diary and a Third Person Memory POV⟧
’I suppose I will go with the latter. In any case, I think it is time for me to learn what happened after Chaos discovered Elina’s dead body.’
Kent wanted to learn more about Chaos’s life now that he could tell Unity was also connected to him. If he managed to discover what had occurred between them, he would get a fair idea of how to face Unity.
’I am sorry, Unity, but I have to fake my sleep for a while until I am ready to handle things properly.’ After saying that, Kent commanded the tower to use the memory key.
He felt his world spin, and then soon, he was back to Chaos’s memories…

[Chaos’s Memories – Minutes After Discovering Elina’s Dead Body]
The air around Chaos, as he held Elina’s body, was chaotic. Kent could clearly see the shift in the air and the craziness in his eyes.
Chaos was very angry, and from the look of things, he would be angry for a very long time. The emotional rollercoaster he had found himself in was one he wasn’t prepared for.
Before meeting Elina, he was all about killing all those who dared invade his world. Planet Lumen was under his protection, and so all those who set their sights on it were dealt with.
However, after meeting Elina, he began to learn more about being human. He was a dragon, a predator who only knew slaughter. However, Elina started to teach him to be more human and behave like a civilized person.
She taught him how to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence.
She taught him how to coexist with humans in a peaceful and more civilized manner.
Elina was shaping him to become someone who could live in peace rather than war. However, just when she was making headway, tragedy struck, and she was taken from him forever.
Now, looking into Chaos’s eyes, Kent could tell he was back to his bestial self.
However, with what he had learned from Elina, he spent three months burying all those who fell under the assault of the forsaken race.
He buried them all, with Elina being the last to be buried. He just couldn’t bring himself to bury her. However, knowing that was what humans do when their relatives die, he managed to will himself to bury her.
Standing in front of her grave, tears rolling down his face, Chaos spoke his final words… “Thank you, Elina. Because of you, I learned how to live in peace and make friends. You showed me there is more to life than just fighting and shedding blood.
I am grateful for all that and then some.
However, I am afraid I cannot follow in your teachings for now. I cannot remain calm and peaceful while the ones who took you away from me are out there.
So I will, as you used to say, put a pin in the life you wanted for me and become who I am. I will resort to slaughter once again, and when all of them are down, I will try to live like you wanted me to.” Chaos wiped the tears from his eyes.
“I know you will be disappointed in me for choosing the path of slaughter, but to avenge you, I have to become the real me.
Sorry, Elina. But for now, I will have to say goodbye.”
The moment Chaos finished those words, his eyes turned from golden to red, and then his horns grew and wings spread on his back.
He took to the skies and soon vanished into thin air.
Chaos traveled through the void for three months just to return to Lumen, his world. When he arrived, the humans who survived had settled in and started to live among the beasts.
He didn’t care about any of them since, in his mind, only Elina mattered. However, knowing he would be leaving for a while, he ensured they were safe and that the planet would be safe while he was away.
After making sure he had everything in order, he left and headed straight to the Blood System. It was a star system where the worst kind of people, beasts, and abominations lived.
Chaos had already cultivated the first form of the Primal Bone Tempering Art and had awakened the potential to wield 90,000 Blood Runes.
He had unlocked 20,000 of them and could use all of them. However, Chaos, who knew that wasn’t enough to propel him on the bloody path he is about to walk, chose to start cultivating the second form too.
He planned to strengthen his body and bones to the point where wielding all 90,000 Blood Runes would be possible.
However, since he planned to commit a massacre, he was going to use the second form of the Primal Bone Tempering Art to form Blood Tattoos by merging the Blood Runes.
Chaos was so angry and determined to the point that he planned on forming at least 20 Blood Tattoos before he started his massacre. Once he began, the universe would be painted red.
So he left for the Blood System, and for many years, he remained there, killing, slaughtering, and growing stronger. Just two years into his stay, his name started to spread.
Soon, the name Chaos was known by all. Many challenged him, and some ran from him. However, Chaos killed all he could see and, using their blood, he continued to grow stronger.
690 years later, after becoming a True Immortal, forming 25 Blood Tattoos, and awakening the infamous yet terrifying Chaos Heart, the Primordial Chaos Dragon left the Blood System.
The day he left, many cheered.
Their one true nemesis had left. However, a year later, his name started to spread again.
The first world he visited was a world of demons that had some connection to the forsaken race. Overnight, he turned the surface of the planet into a pool of blood.
Then the next planet followed, and within ten years, 35 planets fell thanks to Chaos’s carnage; however, none of said planets had even a single forsaken being.
However, he didn’t care.
Word spread of a dragon with a vengeful heart, killing all who were in one way or another linked to the forsaken race.
Many panicked, and those stupid enough challenged him, only to die in the most gruesome way possible.
Forty-five years into his massacre, his big break came when he received word that a family of hunters and assassins had received a mission to kill a forsaken king.
