Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1111: Apology and a Promise

Chapter 1111: Apology and a Promise

In the end, the Supreme Immortal Sect did win the battle against the Blade Soul Sect; however, it came at a terrible price.

Zeyrion (Crystal Dragon), Yurei (Ice Maiden), Raizel (One-Eye Demon Spawn), and Xhan (Venom King) all suffered terrifying soul injuries.

The battle against the Soul Spirits took a huge toll on them. So, despite winning, the outcome is that their next battle will be much more challenging.

Of course, Raizel and Nyss weren’t that injured in their souls compared to the others. Raizel is a soul cultivator, so his soul is much stronger, and as a result, he was able to withstand more attacks than the others.

During the battle, he managed to kill five of the Soul Spirits, so he gained something aside from Minor injuries to his soul.

Of course, he also received a Tier 7 Devil Skull that he can refine into a powerful soul weapon.

As for Nyss, she was barely tangible during the battle since she kept moving through the shadows, so the damage wasn’t much.

The only upside to all this, however, is that she will be ready for the final battle tomorrow, as will Vanna and the other two disciples who make up the ten disciples that are representing the sect in the competition.

As for Princess Elowen, she wouldn’t be able to fight for a while.

“Stupid disciple, I’ve already told you that before you can use the Glass Domain, your mental strength should be much stronger than it is now.

Why do you have to risk your own cultivation just to win?” Lady Enzi said, sitting beside Princess Elowen’s bed.

If she had known her disciple was able to make such progress in learning the ’Glass Art,’ she would have made sure that using the Glass Domain was the last thing she ever dreamt of.

However, perhaps knowing her master wouldn’t have allowed her to use it, she hid that crucial detail from her. Now, she had suffered from Soul, Mind, and Body exhaustion after using the Glass Domain skill.

“She is stable now, but she wouldn’t be able to fight in tomorrow’s battle,” Elaine said after using a soul-healing spell on Princess Elowen.

“Thank you, Elaine,” Lady Enzi said, and Elaine nodded.

Elsa was working on healing the souls of the other disciples; however, aside from Nyss and Vanna, the rest wouldn’t be ready for tomorrow’s battle…

This means they can only rely on Kent if they want to win.

However, Kent is still unconscious, and the final battle is 25 hours away. Hopefully, Kent will be awake by then.

Meanwhile, inside the tower, Kent was still sound asleep on the bed. His head resting peacefully on Unity’s inviting lap.

The pressure that bore down on Kent during her True Name awakening was a result of her bloodline awakening. Her bloodline contained divine energy even as a Core Formation cultivator.

From now on, she can harness divine energy, provided her body and meridians can handle it.

It turned out she had a divine bloodline in both lives she had lived before this one.

When she was Artemis, her destiny was to become the Goddess of the Hunt — someone meant to climb the ladder and one day transcend to become a Celestial. However, that destiny was changed when she met Chaos.

Then, in her second life as the Goddess of Love and Art, she became a goddess from the start and had lived that life for thousands of years before she gave her life to give the Blood Spear King a happy ending.

So this True Name awakened both bloodlines she had back in those lives and merged them to become one powerful bloodline that even the heavens had never seen before.

If she were in control during the awakening, she would have made sure Kent didn’t take on the full blunt end of the divine aura…

Now, watching him sleep, Unity couldn’t help recalling the cold look in Chaos’s eyes when he came to her and her family’s rescue during that one fateful mission back during the Primordial Era…

“I was still too young and full of energy that I failed to see the pain in your eyes. If I had, I may have approached you differently.”

Unity was not denying that during the Primordial Era, she would have made a different decision. What she wouldn’t have done was go for what she wanted without caring about Chaos’s opinion.

Back then, she wanted to become his woman to the point that she even started spreading rumors that she and Chaos were an item. Perhaps due to this, Chaos had further distanced himself from her.

“I was young and stupid,” Unity smiled.

She was indeed young and very stupid. Perhaps she was so charmed that she failed to see Chaos was in pain.

She may have seen some clues, seen some signs that pointed to his mental state at that time, but because she was so absorbed in her feelings, she didn’t care.

“Now that I think about it, I can’t help but wonder what those forsaken bastards had done to make you that mad and ruthless back then.”

The majority of the time they spent together was hunting down the forsaken race and other criminals. They never went a week without killing someone.

Back then, Artemis thought they were finally connecting, and so even if they went a few days without battle, she would start questioning him.

Sometimes, Chaos would ignore her; other times, he would scream at her to stop bothering him. However, to Artemis, whenever Chaos spoke to her, regardless of the nature and tone of his voice, she never minded.

To her, they were finally connecting.

“Maybe I was just stupid in believing he would ever love me, but he also called me his Shadow Stalker. I say he loved me, just that he was too stubborn to show it.”

Unity blushed, and then she lay down beside Kent and hugged him. Even now, recalling how she almost died several times just trying to win over Chaos, she couldn’t help but wonder if she was indeed an idiot.

“Idiot in love.” She smiled and brought her head closer to Kent’s ear. “You may have been emotionless back then due to reasons I don’t know yet. I may have been persuasive and annoying, now that I think about it — I apologize for that.

However, now that I have you in my clutches, don’t even think I will let you run off. I also promise I won’t mark you with my shadows again since I have no reason to keep tracking you whenever you run off to escape me.

Now, I am your wife, so don’t even think about running away.”

Unity’s possessiveness started to bloom, and from the look of things, she was about to ensure that Kent understood that even if he managed to run from her in her first life, this time around, she would never give him that chance.

“I should probably mark you… just in case you suddenly decide to make a run for it.”

Unity formed a rune in the air and pressed it against Kent’s chest, leaving a small arrow tattoo there. She smiled and placed her head on his chest, enveloping them in her bluish-white wings.

Meanwhile, Kent, who had been awake for a couple of minutes, heard all that Unity said. The more she spoke, the more he felt his heart break.

He had yet to remember his time with Unity’s first incarnation, but somehow, he knew he was at fault, and he had a clear idea why.

Suddenly, just when the arrow tattoo appeared on his chest, a system message also appeared.
