Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 618 - 616: Wrong, I am the Young Master of the Demonic Sect
Chapter 618: Chapter 616: Wrong, I am the Young Master of the Demonic Sect
He was practically gloating.
His father spoke up. "Kid, you can’t blame me for this. When a wisp of your Primordial Spirit descended, who knew what kind of Cultivation you were practicing? Your mother and I couldn’t interfere too much, lest we damage your Primordial Spirit. Besides, your mother was worried sick when you ran off here. We dropped everything and left your little sister behind to come find you. You should be secretly thanking your lucky stars, not complaining."
Aaron Sinclair was touched. ’His parents had come to the Lower Realm just for him.’ "Heh heh, I am! I’m thrilled!"
At that thought, he spoke up. "Dad, Mom, thank you." He looked at his parents sitting there and added silently in his heart.
’No matter who I once was, right now, I’m just your son.’
Celeste Grant smiled, her gaze softening. "Silly boy. You’re our son. What is there to thank us for? Besides, we didn’t really do much after we got here." Parents would do anything for their children.
Aaron Sinclair smiled.
’Having his parents here, watching him grow up—that was enough. This quiet companionship... this was what it meant to be family.’
"Dad, Mom, I love you!" As he spoke, he made a finger heart at them. "If this wasn’t such a bad time, I’d sing a song for both of you—that classic tune about how moms are the best in the world, and that tear-jerker song, ’Father.’"
Javier Sinclair: "..."
Celeste Grant: "..."
Sitting at the stone table in the courtyard, Celeste Grant and her husband exchanged a look, the corners of their mouths twitching. Their expressions clearly said, ’Your son has lost it.’
She waved a dismissive hand.
"Son, maybe don’t sing just yet. Your mother here has a weak heart."
"Oh, come on, Mom. I actually think I’m a pretty good singer."
Celeste Grant let out a soft laugh.
"Sing my ass. You can sing later."
"Heh heh, okay, okay. Mom, you two wait for me. I’ll just undo the Magic on everyone, then I’ll be back to catch up."
"Mm."
Aaron Sinclair looked away from them, his gaze sweeping over the mortals below. They had returned to their senses but were still unable to move.
He raised his hand, pressing two fingers together and making a light swipe through the air.
A stream of Magic shot toward Terrus. In an instant, the mortals who had been frozen in place were freed. The Barrier his mother had set up earlier also dissipated.
The moment the Magic was dispelled, all sorts of voices erupted.
"I can move!"
"I can move too!"
"We’re saved!"
Countless people in the crowd hugged each other, cheering with joy. Others clutched their heads and wept, overcome with the relief of having survived the disaster.
"The black energy is gone!"
"Did you see that? It was an Immortal! An Immortal descended to the mortal world! I never thought this old man would live to see an Immortal in my lifetime."
"The Divine Monarch has revealed himself! We’re saved!"
"I recognize him! That’s our Young Master! So the rumors were true! Our Young Master really is a Celestial God who came down to the mortal world! He’s a Celestial God!"
"It’s not just the Young Master! Those other two who appeared, that was our Prince and Princess Consort! I’ve seen them before; I’m not mistaken! Heavens above, the Young Master’s entire family are Celestial Gods!"
"What has our nation of Kelldorn ever done to deserve the protection of so many Honorable Gods?"
In that moment, countless people fell to their knees in unison, bowing their heads in worship.
"Greetings, Immortal! We pay our respects!"
"We pay our respects to the God!"
"Please, God, protect us!"
"Our Kelldorn has the protection of a Celestial God! We have no fear of any monsters! That evil eye has been slain! It was the God and his family who saved us! Thank you, God, for your protection!"
"Please, God, protect us!"
"God bless us!"
"It is the Divine Monarch of Kelldorn who has revealed himself!"
The crowd was a sea of excitement and piety.
Seeing this unfold...
Aaron Sinclair slapped a hand to his forehead.
’God? Divine Monarch? Immortal?’
’What is all this nonsense? As if!’
’Back up, back up, back up!’
’How could he, the great Young Master of the Demonic Sects, be called an Immortal? A Divine Monarch? A Celestial God descended from the heavens? This was just ridiculous.’
Aaron Sinclair had no intention of muscling in on the Righteous Immortal Sect’s turf. He was a Demon with professional integrity, a pure-blooded Second Demon generation. He was supposed to inherit The Demonic Sects and lead them to glory!
If word of this got out, people would think The Demonic Sects were plotting something nefarious again.
Which was why hearing these titles made him so incredibly irritated.
With that thought, he spoke up to stop them.
"Stop, stop! What are you all bowing for? You’ve got it all wrong! Completely wrong!"
He couldn’t stop himself from launching into a tirade.
"My gods... what is wrong with you mortals’ eyes? Which one of you saw me and thought ’God’?" As he spoke, Demonic Qi swirled around him. He jabbed a thumb at his chest. "Look closely! This is Demonic Qi! Demonic Qi! It’s as black as night, how can you possibly get it wrong? This Young Master is a Demon Cultivator! A Demon Cultivator! A Demon!"
"Let me repeat myself. I am the Young Master of the Demonic Sects! The son of the old Demon, The Little Fiend! I carry the purest, most noble bloodline of The Demon God! I have absolutely nothing to do with Immortals and Gods, so stop bowing to the wrong person!"
As Aaron Sinclair declared himself a Demon, he lifted his chin, looking rather proud.
His voice was firm and resonant, ringing in the ears of everyone present. The crowd froze as if someone had hit a pause button, every single person staring at him with wide eyes.
Jaws practically hit the floor. No one had expected him to say such a thing. A Demon? The Young Master of the Demonic Sects? Demonic Qi? If what he said was true, then the being they were worshipping wasn’t a God... so what was he?
A Demon? What kind of title was that? To ordinary people, the word ’Demon’ was reserved for those who committed every evil imaginable and brought disaster upon the world. But the person before them was so sacred, so inviolable... if he wasn’t a God, what was he?
"Please, God, don’t say such things."
"We are terrified!"
"In our hearts, you are a Celestial God who descended to save us! It was you who protected us. You’re not a Demon, you’re a truly good person! The kindest God in the world!"
Countless people kowtowed, their faces a mixture of terror and awe.
Aaron Sinclair felt a headache coming on.
’My head hurts. It really hurts.’
’Why can’t I get through to them?’
’A bunch of ignorant mortals.’
"Demon Cultivator! You should at least understand the literal meaning of the words! It’s true what they say: never fear a god-like enemy, but always fear a pig-like ally. And you people call me the kindest God in the world? A good person? Who are you trying to insult? Shoo, shoo! Stop ruining the reputation of The Demonic Sects! If this gets out, what would be left of our prestige?"
Seeing that he seemed to be getting angry, the mortals scratched their heads in confusion.
They looked at one another.
"Then... what should we call him?"
"Right? We can’t just call him ’Demon,’ can we?"
As soon as the words were out, the speaker quickly kowtowed.
"We’ve misspoken! Please, God, forgive us!"
Hearing this, Aaron Sinclair was utterly speechless.
"Enough! All of you, just stop! Saving you was just a side thing! Now, everyone, go about your business! I’m leaving!" And with that, his figure vanished from sight.
