Chapter 428 - 427: Aquilia

’I’ve spent a lot of time with the Big Tiger recently. I wonder if I managed to raise the favorability I lost before?’

A light blue screen floated into view from the system, and Yu Zhizhi skillfully typed in Cang Lan’s name.

Yu Zhizhi suddenly grew nervous. She stared intently at the dark Pet Egg, watching as the cracks widened until a golden light instantly filled the entire room.

She heard a crisp sound.

The Pet Egg shattered, and a small, dark, icy-colored sphere appeared before Yu Zhizhi. It was encircled by icy wings that emitted a faint light.

The Little Elf slowly opened its eyes, and the first thing it saw was a young Rabbit Clan lady.

It flapped its wings. "Guji guji?"

A faint white line connected Yu Zhizhi and the Little Elf.

The system’s voice sounded in Yu Zhizhi’s ear—

[DING! Pet has acknowledged its master! The host may now view the pet’s information.]

Yu Zhizhi tapped it curiously.

A panel appeared.

[Name: Aquilia]

[Species: Dark Elf]

[Level: LV.1]

[Evolution: Not Unlocked]

[Skill: Little Dark Ball]

[Note: Pet can evolve to the next stage upon reaching Level 30.]

At the very bottom of the information panel was a black silhouette of Aquilia at Level 30. It appeared to have a humanoid form, surrounded by dark wings.

The current Little Elf, however, was only in its initial form. It was small and tender, like a little sphere, about the size of a tennis ball as it flew through the air.

It slowly floated in front of Yu Zhizhi and circled her twice, as if memorizing its master’s scent.

"Aquilia," Yu Zhizhi called out softly.

The Little Elf was overjoyed to hear its name. It flapped its wings and drew closer, nuzzling against Yu Zhizhi. Chilled by its touch, she let out a happy laugh.

Having eaten and drunk its fill, the Little Octopus pushed open the door and saw the scene.

’Whoa!’

Its eyes lit up, and it immediately scurried over!

"What is this?" The Little Octopus had never seen such a creature before.

Yu Zhizhi hugged the glowing little sphere. "It’s an Elf."

’Though, it’s my first time seeing an Elf, too, and it’s not what I imagined—but maybe after the Little Elf reaches Level 30, it’ll evolve into a bigger Elf and gain a human form.’

The Little Octopus raised a red tentacle and curiously touched the small sphere’s glowing, icy wings. The Little Elf glanced at it and let out a long string of "guji guji"s.

"What’s it saying?" the Little Octopus asked, completely bewildered.

But to her surprise, Yu Zhizhi understood.

"It’s saying, ’Thank you for taking care of me all this time.’"

The Little Octopus was stunned.

It hadn’t expected this little sphere to actually remember!

Yu Zhizhi was also surprised. ’I guess this is how pets from the system work. They have their own names from birth and even retain memories from inside the Pet Egg.’

"Aquilia, are you hungry?" Yu Zhizhi asked softly.

The Little Ice Ball’s round body wobbled as if it were nodding.

Yu Zhizhi handed it a donut.

The Little Ice Ball opened its mouth and started eating. CRUNCH, CRUNCH.

Soon, a line of text floated above its head.

[Aquilia, LV.1 → LV.2!]

’It leveled up?!’

Yu Zhizhi hadn’t expected it to be so fast. ’Can the Little Elf level up just by eating?’

The Little Octopus obviously hadn’t seen the text floating above Aquilia’s head.

It was just extremely curious about this strange new creature.

Aquilia happily began to eat.

She estimated that this Little Elf would also appear in a few days.
