Mu Anhan naturally wasn’t going to give Aix any chance to get close to her. She leaned her little head on Gu Xiaozhan’s shoulder. "Aix, do you know who my master is?"

"Who is it?" Aix asked excitedly at once.

Mu Anhan pointed at the man beside her. "My husband! As for me, my skills are half–baked, so I can’t take disciples, but my husband is super formidable!"

Aix wouldn’t dare take Gu Xiaozhan as his master. Wouldn’t that be asking for death?

But Lu Lu immediately said, "Gu Xiaozhan, I want to learn."

"Go have Lie Huo teach you." Gu Xiaozhan rejected her outright.

Just as Lu Lu was about to say something else, Gu Xiaozhan added, "I only teach Han Han. Even though her skills are half–baked, she’s my most beloved and only disciple."

When he finished, he wrapped an arm around her and left.

The two of them didn’t feel like playing cards, so they went for a walk around the villa.

"Master..." Mu Anhan looked up at him. "Master hasn’t taught me any kung fu in ages!"

Gu Xiaozhan lowered his head, lips curving with a smile. "With you slacking off two days out of three, with the kind of skills you’ve managed to learn, do you know what your master really wants to do?"

"Master despises me." Mu Anhan huffed.

Gu Xiaozhan pinched her pretty little nose. "Back then I did feel a bit like hating the iron for not becoming steel, wished I could smack your little butt until it swelled. But now I don’t think that way anymore."

Back when Mu Anhan used to practice with him, she always snuck in laziness.

Even though he wanted her to train a bit better, in the end he was defeated by her coquettish ways.

"So how do you feel now?" she asked in a spoiled tone.

Gu Xiaozhan pulled her into his arms. "No matter how formidable you become, I still want to protect you."

The subtext of that sentence was that no matter how lacking she might be, he would protect her all the same.

Mu Anhan happily wrapped her arms around his waist, burrowing her little head straight into his chest. He was so good to her.

Who knew that before she could finish basking in it, the man added another line: "Of course, if you’re willing to train your stamina a bit better, I’d be more than happy to see that. After all, it directly affects my benefits..."

Before he could finish, his chest took a soft punch from the woman.

Gu Xiaozhan burst out laughing, loud and hearty, his laughter echoing down the shaded path and making the mood especially lively.

"Han Han, actually this morning I only used thirty percent of my strength," he murmured burning words into her ear.

Mu Anhan was both coy and shy. She knew he’d gone back to normal and would dote on her now, couldn’t bear to let her tire, couldn’t bear to let her cry.

She shot him a glare, but there wasn’t the slightest bit of real anger in it.

She knew too that he was already being very restrained.

He worried about her, and he would feel distressed for her.

"I came walking with you, not to talk about those things," she started to act spoiled and clingy.

Gu Xiaozhan rubbed her little head. "Alright, I can still hold back."

Mu Anhan let out a little hum, narrowed her eyes and looked up at the sun.

They say the two things in this world you can’t look straight at are the human heart and the sun.

But she was willing to look straight into Gu Xiaozhan’s heart; she was willing to believe in him forever.

The two of them continued along the shady path, little birds flitting overhead as they went.

Just then, Mu Anhan’s phone rang.

She took her phone out of her handbag and saw that it was Pei Zhe calling.

As she answered the call, Gu Xiaozhan kept a predatory gaze fixed on her, as if afraid she’d talk to Pei Zhe for even a few extra seconds.

"Good afternoon!" Mu Anhan’s voice was bright and cheerful.

Pei Zhe could naturally hear how happy she sounded. "Good afternoon! I didn’t really have anything urgent, I just wanted to remind you to be careful..."
