Chapter 160: Stiles

Roman’s POV

"H-help!" I cry out for the fourth time since I regained my consciousness.

My hands are tied behind my back and I’m in what feels like the trunk of a moving car. I can feel the edge of something like a chainsaw pressing to my cheek. My breath hitches and I try to scream again.

"Help me!" I cry out and kick my legs to make some sort of noise. My feet hit something made of plastic and I hear it fall over. I stop moving when I smell bar oil leaking from the plastic I just kicked.

What is going on? Who would dare kidnap me?

One moment I was on the side of the road trying to calm a panicking Noah, the next, I’m in a trunk tied up like an animal.

"Hello? Do you know who I am?" I ask, yelling and yelling till my throat is sore and I can’t yell again. I can taste blood at the back of my throat.

Damn it, if I’m in this state...what would they be doing to Noah?

"Please, don’t hurt the omega. I know you want my money, don’t hurt the omega. I’ll do anything to keep him safe- ugh!" I groan as the car jolts and the blade of the chainsaw digs into my cheek.

"Arghh!" I scream out in pain.

My breathing pace picks up, and I try to stay as still as possible to avoid more injuries. My panicked smell, the oil, and my blood are mixed together in the suffocating space. My claustrophobia is triggered and I feel like I’m going to die soon.

"Help me! help me! please" I start to scream for my life again. I shut my eyes to pray for everything to return to normal and everything suddenly stops moving.

I strain my ears, but I hear nothing over my own racing heart. I blink twice and try to clear my head. My alpha isn’t responding to me and I’m all on my own.

’Goddess, please, I need Noah safe’ I pray for the man I’m in love with.

The trunk of the car is cracked open and clean air leaks into the space. I lick my lip in panic and I end up tasting the blood that flowed from my cheek. I’m scared. I’ve never been kidnapped before.

"I have money...please" I say as the person fully opens the trunk. I can see it’s already late in the evening. The sky is dark and there is only a little lightning.

"Please, I have a lot of money. I can pay you whatever you want" I say and the person looks into the trunk with an annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah, we’re not beggars. Beggars don’t wear designers for fuck sake" he says and pulls me up.

He’s the one called Lucas.

"Why are you doing this to me? I didn’t do anything wrong to you. We welcomed you in our home" I say in panic and he laughs.

"Yeah, so uh...do you remember this pretty blonde omega? Average height with the cutest blue eyes?" Lucas asks, grunting as he puts me on my feet, and I frown at the description.

"Are you talking about Noah?" I ask and he gasps.

"Bingo! You’re pretty smart for your looks, pretty boy" he says and takes me towards the house. The man chuckles to himself like he’s funny, but I see no fun in his words or games. Blood is still dripping down my face and my head hurts.

"Where is Noah?" I ask.

"Oh yeah. So, you know he’s married right? You slept with a married man and then went ahead to kiss him. Seriously dude, is it your desire to die young?" Lucas asks as he takes me through the front door.

I walked through this door a few weeks ago like a governor’s son who’s proud, but today I’m being dragged in like a criminal.

I’m not a criminal. I’m a respectable man. I am an alpha who is properly educated and diplomatic.

"My men will find you" I hiss.

"Actually, your men think you went crazy and kidnapped Elias Deus’s husband" the guard says and the real panic sets in.

They set me up.

If my family thinks I went crazy and kidnapped Noah, then the Deus family would be playing on them. They’ll be scared of the Deus retaliation, and they’ll also be looking for me in the wrong places.

"Please, let me see Noah. This is seriously a misunderstanding! It’s clearly a misunderstanding. I didn’t mean to do it" I yell as he starts to whistle and drag me up the stairs.

"Please. My father’s burial is tomorrow, I need to make sure I say my goodbyes" I plead, but like the rumors, he stays unconcerned about my state of mind. He’s inhumane like everyone else related to the Deus.

"Have fun trying to stay alive. You’re lucky it’s Elias who’s mad at you. If it were Damien or Kai...those fuckers would have tortured the fuck out of you" he says like death is a normal thing.

"Please" I try once more.

I am thrown into a room, and my face hits the floor. I groan as pain shoots through my body. No...I have a model shoot in two weeks’ time.

"Bye bye, pretty boy. Try not to die before it’s morning time" Lucas says and slams the door shut.

I sit up and look around for an escape route. The room has only one window, so I run to it and look out through it. The ground is too far to jump, and my hands are still tied behind me.

The only way out of this is death. I don’t want to die. I have to take care of mom and Lily.

The door finally opens and I turn around, still panting for air as my eyes find Elias Deus standing there.

"You rapist bastard" I growl at him, flashing my alpha eyes at him in anger. He doesn’t react at first. He just pulls out a pocket watch and stares at it.

"My father is a psychopath" he says to his watch, and I don’t see the sense in those words.

"Look..."

"My father is a psychopath, and I took part of his psychopathy" he finally looks at me, and the room’s temperature seems to drop.

"I don’t want any trouble" I say with a low snarl and his eyes darken. How is it possible for someone to feel this deadly? How does Noah even love this beast?

"Your father was an abuser and you--"

I don’t let him finish those words. Like a bull, with my head down, I charge at Elias Deus with the intention of throwing him down to the floor.

"My father is not an abuser!" I roar and Elias simply moves out of the way. I ram my head into the door and fall to the floor.

"Your father was an abuser, and you took part in his abusing" Elias Deus says and I groan in pain.

"I killed your father and you’re next" are the last words I hear before I black out.
