Chapter 45: Pampered by Both Brothers

Ilya chuckled softly. "Because I’ll make sure of it."

A compartment in his metal leg suddenly opened, and several metal balls about the size of marbles came out from inside.

Summer stared at them. "What are those?"

Ilya replied to her right away, "These balls can release sound frequencies that polluted creatures hate. They’ll stay away from this area."

Ilya opened his terminal and tapped the screen.

[Strange Noise Frequency Activated.]

After that, he looked at Summer again and reached for her hand. "Eat this while you’re waiting for me."

Before Summer could ask anything, he placed something small in her palm.

Right after that, he stepped backward and opened his wings again.

A second later, he flew back toward the battlefield.

Summer watched him disappear into the polluted air before finally lowering her head and saw a small round pink candy was sitting in the middle of her palm.

At first, she didn’t understand why he had given her candy, but then she saw the comment section.

[Geez! Is that a Recovery Glow Candy?!]

[No way. Those things are expensive!]

[Wait, the pink one?! That’s the version women always fight over!]

Summer blinked and looked down at the candy again. Without even thinking, she spoke to the livestream. "Recovery Glow Candy?"

A few comments immediately popped up.

[It restores stamina and helps small injuries heal faster!]

[And it makes your skin glow afterward! That’s the important part!]

[Girl, priorities!]

Summer slowly turned the candy between her fingers. So it wasn’t just a normal candy.

Well, that explained why Ilya had given it to her.

Her entire body was sore, her shoulders still hurt from the rifle recoil, and even her legs felt like they might stop working if she pushed them too hard again.

"Is the glowing part necessary?" she asked again.

[Unnecessary?! Do you know how many women fight over those?!]

[Exactly! People literally buy them for skincare even when they’re not injured.]

[Summer, eat it before I jump through the screen and steal it!]

Summer stared at the comments. "You people are scary."

She finally unwrapped the candy and popped it into her mouth. The taste was sweet, with a light strawberry flavor.

At first, nothing happened, but then a gentle warmth slowly spread from her stomach through the rest of her body.

Summer’s eyes widened as she felt the numb feeling in her arms start to fade.

The pain in her shoulders didn’t disappear completely, but it became much easier to ignore. Even the soreness in her legs slowly eased.

"Oh, wow," Summer said. "It really feels good."

The candy didn’t work as quickly or effectively as the regeneration potion Archer had given her before, but it really did make her feel comfortable.

[Check your face!]

Summer frowned when she saw that comment. "My face?"

[YES! THE GLOW!]

She opened the front camera on her terminal. For a second, Summer just stared at herself.

Her skin really did look brighter. Not enough to make her look like a lamp, but there was definitely a healthy glow that hadn’t been there before.

Even her platinum hair looked shinier and smoother than usual.

Then one comment suddenly appeared and immediately received a flood of likes.

[These brothers pamper her too much!]

[Miss Bunny has somehow collected both brothers.]

[Summer, blink twice if you’re living our dream!]

Summer sighed as they started comparing the two brothers and wondering whether Archer would be jealous of Ilya, or the other way around.

She finally moved her gaze toward the viewer count and gasped when she saw the number.

[BeastNet Livestream]

[Current Viewers: 3,556,002]

[Followers: 756,666]

[Current Earnings: 2,206,800 Credits]

"How the hell did my likes get so high?" Summer asked in confusion.

[Lmao, Summer, don’t act like a grandma!]

[We can tap the like button as many times as we want. That’s why the number got so high!]

Summer frowned. "But the last stream wasn’t like this."

[Because there was an unexpected guest last time! We were too busy taking screenshots!]

Between Archer and Ilya, Archer was definitely the more mysterious one. For low-rank Sentinels, meeting him in real life was almost impossible.

Ilya, on the other hand, was an instructor. People at least had a chance to see him around, even if they didn’t get the chance to be trained by him.

"Summer!" Saddie called out from behind, making Summer immediately turn around. "Do you want to help me out? Most of them are injured!"

Summer finally stepped into the lobby, then replied to Saddie, "I don’t really know how to take care of people."

After all, she had been used more often as a killing weapon than someone who healed others. Even when she saved humans, all she had to do was kill the monsters rather than treat their wounds.

"It’s fine! It’s fine!" Saddie quickly said. "I only need you to help the people with minor injuries."

She walked closer to Summer and lowered her voice. "I already asked the military to send more medicine, but more flying mutated creatures keep appearing. It’s getting harder for the drones to get through."

The drones would probably get eaten if they entered the polluted zone now.

They could only hope that Ilya would manage to kill most of the flying creatures, but even he was trying not to fly too high to avoid being exposed to the thicker polluted air.

Because of that, it would take him some time to get rid of more flying polluted creatures.

Fortunately, they had managed to deliver some medical supplies earlier when they brought the filtered masks into this place.

"If the injury is minor, cleaning it with alcohol should be more than enough, but if the wound is too serious..." Summer moved her gaze toward the area where the badly injured people were gathered. "...we probably need doctors."

One man even had a piece of metal stuck in his thigh, probably from falling while running.

Saddie followed her gaze. "I can try to help them, but for that one..." Her voice became quieter. "He’ll probably have to wait for a miracle. The pollution level needs to drop before the military can open the gate."

Summer fell silent for a moment before saying, "There is no miracle. It’s all on us."

Saddie widened her eyes slightly because she hadn’t expected that answer, but before she could say anything, Summer asked, "Where’s the medicine for the people with minor injuries? I can start now."

"O-Oh, yeah. This way!" Saddie shook her head slightly, trying to focus again, then led Summer deeper into the lobby.

While following Saddie, Summer opened her private messages and sent Archer a message.

[Can you help me a bit?]
