Julian shook his head.

"No. Meteor Assault is a Fighting-type move unique to Sirfetch’d."

Looking at Julian’s confident gaze, Skye suddenly felt a wave of disappointment rise in his heart.

Was the gap between him and this person of the same age actually this large?

Skye took out his final Poké Ball.

"I only have one Pokémon left, but I hope Gym Leader Veyne can make an exception and switch out Sirfetch’d so it can battle Primeape."

Another one challenging Primeape by name.

"If I defeat Primeape, Gym Leader Veyne can send Sirfetch’d back out to continue the battle."

He had that much confidence?

"All right."

Since there was a fight to be had, Primeape was extremely excited.

"Altaria, go."

When someone could not capture Dragonite, Salamence, or Rayquaza...

Altaria was a pretty good substitute.

And if you found a certain stone, Altaria had far more potential than Dragonite and Salamence.

"Altaria, Dragon Pulse!"

"Dynamic Punch!"

Primeape threw a punch and directly scattered the surging blue dragon-shaped wave from Altaria.

Wisps of red airflow appeared around Primeape’s body.

"It... scattered it!"

Whether it was Skye or Altaria, both of their eyes were filled with shock.

"Mega Punch!"

Julian seized the opportunity while they were stunned.

Primeape flew forward with a punch and knocked Altaria down to the ground.

As a Dragon type, Altaria’s vitality was extremely vigorous.

Even after taking a punch, Altaria was still full of life.

Primeape’s eyes lit up.

The feeling of that punch just now was very good.

Bright rage began to burn around its body.

"Altaria, Sky Attack!"

To think it could master Sky Attack. This Altaria really was excellent.

But before Primeape, it was still not enough.

"Mega Punch!"

Altaria, covered in white airflow, collided with Primeape, whose fist had condensed white light. Both sides flew backwards.

Skye went numb.

Even using Sky Attack, Altaria’s strength still could not suppress Primeape?

"Mega Punch!"

"Feather Dance."

Clumps of cotton danced in the air, but Primeape did not buy into this trick.

The cotton made it feel irritated. After the rage around its body weakened slightly, it doubled with even greater intensity.

One punch flew out, and Altaria painfully smashed through two rocks.

This Primeape’s strength was rising with every clash it had with Altaria.

Skye finally realised what ForeverBurning had meant when he said that if you did not battle Primeape once, you would regret it for the rest of your life.

But after fighting this battle, Skye felt he would regret it for the rest of his life.

"Altaria!"

Answering its Trainer’s heart, Altaria let out a clear dragon cry and flapped its wings into the sky.

"Good! Altaria, now let them see our true power!"

Altaria danced in the air, a blue dragon shape coiling around its body.

Trying to boost secretly?

"Bulk Up."

Primeape did not understand, but still followed the instruction and filled its muscles with energy.

"Sky Attack!"

"Mega Punch!"

But what coiled around Altaria’s body was not the white airflow of Flying-type energy.

It was a blue dragon shape formed from Dragon-type energy.

Skye was shocked and overjoyed.

"This is... Dragon Rush!"

It was precisely because Altaria had failed in training to learn Dragon Rush that Skye had taken Altaria to learn Sky Attack instead.

He had not expected that today...

After three punches from Primeape, Altaria had actually comprehended how to use Dragon Rush.

What was a pleasant surprise?

This was a damned pleasant surprise!

Skye excitedly waved his fist.

"Altaria, well do—"

Skye’s excitement abruptly stopped.

Because Altaria cried out in pain and was sent flying by Primeape’s punch.

"No way!"

Altaria had already learned Dragon Rush, so why was it still the one flying?

Primeape landed and nodded in satisfaction.

That punch just now was the most satisfying one it had thrown recently, aside from the punch against Garchomp.

Altaria smashed the rocky field into a terrible mess.

Buried among the rocks, it did not move for a long while.

Maylene waved the flag.

"Altaria is unable to battle. Primeape wins. Therefore, the winner of this match is the Gym Trainer, Julian Veyne!"

Skye recalled Altaria and bowed to Julian.

"Thank you, Gym Leader Veyne, for helping Altaria and me master Dragon Rush."

"I’ll train and come back to challenge you again."

Aside from Xatu being a little disappointing, Skye was very satisfied with Golbat, Scyther, and Altaria’s performances.

Especially with Altaria learning Dragon Rush. He believed it would now enter a period of rapid growth in strength.

Julian took out a Cobble Badge and placed it in front of Skye.

"This Cobble Badge is proof that I acknowledge your strength. Train your Pokémon well and strive to win the Lily of the Valley Conference."

"This is the first Badge I’ve given out since becoming provisional Gym Leader. I hope you won’t disappoint my expectations."

Once he fixed his arrogant problem, Skye’s results should be decent.

Taking the Badge, Skye tightly held it in his palm and said, "Gym Leader Veyne, don’t worry. I’ll take my Pokémon through strict training and strive for a good result."

He no longer opened his mouth by immediately claiming he would be champion. It seemed Primeape’s guidance had worked rather well.

Not long after leaving Veilstone Gym, Skye saw an internet café.

Although Altaria had learned Dragon Rush and he had successfully obtained the Cobble Badge, his heart still felt uncomfortable.

It was all that ForeverBurning guy’s fault!

Skye entered the internet café and logged onto the Trainer forum.

He was just about to make a post cursing ForeverBurning.

Suddenly, Skye thought of why Forever Burning had made that kind of post.

Wasn’t it because he had been tricked by that Full_Speed_Ahead guy?

If he exposed it now, would that not make him the last person to have been tricked?

Skye immediately began typing.

[SkyBlueFeather:Just as Full_Speed_Ahead and ForeverBurning said, Gym Leader Julian Veyne is a very good person. He warmly guided me]

[SkyBlueFeather:Especially the Primeape that ForeverBurning emphasised. Thanks to Primeape, my Altaria successfully mastered Dragon Rush]

[SkyBlueFeather:I also smoothly obtained the Cobble Badge. If everyone wants to challenge Gym Leader Veyne, do it quickly. Later, you might have to queue and draw lots]

[ForeverBurning:Wait, bro, you really got the Badge?]

ForeverBurning!

You actually dare show your face!

Suddenly, Skye heard the person using the computer opposite him speak.

"No, how did he challenge Primeape, learn Dragon Rush, and successfully beat Primeape to get the Badge? Why couldn’t my Infernape learn Flare Blitz?"

Skye narrowed his eyes and silently walked behind the person at the computer opposite him, placing both hands on his shoulders.

"ForeverBurning?"

Phil turned his head and asked doubtfully, "Who are you?"

Skye smiled and said, "Who am I? I’m SkyBlueFeather, the person you tricked into arrogantly asking the Gym Leader to switch in Primeape by name."

Looking at SkyBlueFeather’s smile, ForeverBurning felt a chill run down his back.

Skye had not expected his luck to be this good. He had actually caught him in the internet café.

I can’t beat Julian Veyne.

But can’t I beat you?

"Come on. Take a trip to the Pokémon Centre with me."

Phil blinked.

"What are we going to the Pokémon Centre for?"

Skye replied, "To exchange our experiences challenging Veilstone Gym, of course."

Phil hurriedly struggled.

"You can even beat Primeape. I don’t think there’s any need for that, right?"

Skye picked Phil up in one motion.

"Who said I beat Primeape? I only ’smoothly’ obtained the Cobble Badge!"

"Come on. Let me see!"

Phil struggled even more fiercely.

"SkyBlueFeather, no!"
