Chapter 331: Chapter 331: Is There Something You Want To Say?

Julian genuinely wanted to send out Miraidon and have him zap that talkative little deer out of the sky.

Cynthia smiled.

"That Shaymin is rather interesting."

What else could Julian say?

Cynthia plucked a flower and tucked it behind Julian’s ear.

"It suits you."

He smiled calmly.

"Although Shaymin has a sharp tongue, I have to admit that when it comes to flowers, she really does deserve the title of Gratitude Pokémon."

"The flowers around us are even more beautiful than the ones Clyde carefully grew."

Cynthia brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Yes. It’s been a long time since I felt this relaxed."

The two of them slowly stopped talking.

Their shoulders moved closer little by little, until they finally leaned against each other.

As the breeze passed over them, perhaps because she had eaten too much ice cream, Cynthia suddenly felt a little sleepy. Without realising it, her head rested against Julian’s shoulder.

Her golden hair brushed against his cheek in the wind, carrying a faint fragrance.

Julian sat quietly like that, enjoying the beautiful scenery, the food, and the beautiful woman leaning against his shoulder.

No one knew how much time passed before Shaymin suddenly flew back.

"I’m hungry. Let’s go eat."

Hearing Shaymin’s voice, Cynthia slowly raised her head.

She looked at the red sun beginning to sink towards the horizon, then glanced at Julian’s shoulder.

There was a faint damp mark there.

It was not particularly obvious, but if someone looked closely, they could still see it.

Not good!

Recently, she had been training Garchomp too seriously.

The blow from Kommo-o in Alola had been quite heavy.

This dance, that dance...

She had been intensifying training in Brutal Swing during this period, but the progress had not been great.

It had left Cynthia somewhat mentally exhausted.

"Sorry. Work has been a little tiring lately. I fell asleep without realising."

Julian waved his hand.

"It’s fine. Having you beside me is enough."

No matter what, they had to wait until the mark disappeared before leaving.

Cynthia suddenly had an idea and picked up a bag of crisps.

"Shaymin, try this. We brought so much food for camping. It would be a waste to leave without eating it."

Shaymin ate a crisp.

"It tastes good, but it doesn’t seem very filling. I want more of that food from earlier."

Julian smiled.

Naturally, he knew what Cynthia was worried about.

"I’ll pour some for you."

Julian slightly turned his head to the right.

Cynthia immediately held her breath nervously.

Fortunately, Julian turned back again and did not see the damp mark.

Julian poured Shaymin a plate of Eevee’s Pokémon food.

He had not expected Cynthia to have such a cute side.

Cynthia absent-mindedly ate crisps. Whenever Julian looked like he was about to turn his head, she placed one in his mouth.

"Julian, you should eat some too."

Shaymin did not understand what these two humans were doing.

After finishing the Pokémon food, Shaymin’s body changed from Sky Forme back into Land Forme.

Cynthia looked at her curiously.

"Why did you turn back into a hedgehog?"

"It’s getting dark, so I changed back. Once it’s daytime and I absorb Gracidea pollen again, I can change back."

Shaymin climbed onto Julian’s shoulder.

"I need somewhere safe to sleep. You two must know somewhere safe, so take me there."

Julian shook his head.

"Shaymin, you really don’t stand on ceremony."

Cynthia picked Shaymin up and held her in her arms with a smile.

"It’s fine. I rather like this little one. Until she leaves, we can bring her with us."

Julian released Miraidon.

Shaymin only needed Miraidon to glance at her before she hid her head fearfully in Cynthia’s arms.

In order not to damage the circular flower ring Shaymin had created, Julian packed away the picnic blanket and the rubbish they had produced that afternoon.

Then, riding Miraidon, he flew directly to the restaurant and landed there.

Miraidon’s eyes shone, illuminating the surroundings clearly.

A tourist blinked.

"It even has headlights? It really is a futuristic flying motorcycle!"

The dishes at noon had leaned towards Kalos cuisine.

The dishes in the evening were more local in style.

Combining them with the flower garden’s theme, Julian had helped Clyde design several dishes inspired by the flower banquets from his previous life.

These beautiful and delicious dishes instantly conquered Cynthia’s heart.

She felt a little reluctant.

"They’re so pretty that I almost don’t want to eat them."

Shaymin jumped onto the table and bit straight into one of the exquisitely shaped flowers.

"This really does taste like a flower. I almost got confused."

"Food is meant to be eaten. Why are you just looking at it? Hurry up and eat."

Cynthia sighed helplessly.

As the Gratitude Pokémon, how could Shaymin be so unromantic?

In the end she also picked up a flower and took a bite.

Her eyes widened instantly.

This was the most delicious flower she had ever eaten!

While the two of them were eating, Clyde walked in from outside.

"Everyone, to thank all our visitors, we have prepared a fireworks show. It will begin at half past eight tonight in the square ahead."

"The best viewing spot is the central flower garden. Please don’t crowd together. Even watching from outside the restaurant will give you a wonderful view."

Cynthia’s eyes lit up.

"Julian, after dinner, shall we go watch the fireworks?"

He nodded.

"Of course."

There was still more than an hour left, so the two of them ate dinner slowly.

Cynthia’s thoughts, however, had begun to stir.

Was Julian planning to confess during the fireworks show?

What thanking visitors? This fireworks show had clearly been prepared for the two of them.

Cynthia’s eyes shifted.

How would Julian confess to her?

Should she pretend to refuse and scare him a little?

After dinner, Cynthia said calmly, "Let’s ride Miraidon there and watch the fireworks from inside that flower ring."

"Watching from there should feel even better."

Julian nodded and brought Cynthia back to the flower ring.

He took out the picnic blanket and spread it out.

"Let’s sit and watch."

As soon as it was half past eight, fireworks rose into the sky on time.

Under the night sky, the fireworks looked dazzling.

As each burst of light bloomed above them, Cynthia glanced at Julian.

Why was there still no movement?

Before long, a Magnezone flew over.

Although the device on its back was gone, Cynthia still recognised it. It was the Magnezone belonging to the photographer who had taken pictures of them.

On Magnezone’s back was a bouquet made up of many beautiful flowers.

Julian picked up the bouquet and walked in front of Cynthia.

"Cassia, this bouquet is for you."

Cynthia accepted the flowers, breathed in their scent, and smiled.

"They’re beautiful. I really like them."

But what answered Cynthia was a moment of silence.

No, wait!

You’ve reached the point where you’re supposed to confess. Why aren’t you saying anything?

Julian’s expression looked a little awkward.

Cynthia looked at him calmly.

"Julian, is there something you want to say?"

Julian pressed his lips together.

"Sorry, Cassia. I..."

"I don’t know how to say it properly. Let me think about it. I’ll explain it to you next time."
