-----------------------

The corner of Cynthia’s mouth twitched.

Last time, he had asked whether she liked Garchomp or Flygon more.

This time, he had gone straight up to the twin gods of time and space.

Julian, you really are something!

Cynthia’s eyes shifted as she began calculating when she should settle this account with him.

She answered calmly, "Why must I choose one? If I want to understand the hidden truths of history, I would need both of their help."

Cynthia’s choice was...

She wanted both!

Julian nodded.

"Since you want to understand the twin gods of time and space, I’ll definitely support you from the side."

In truth, the old Team Galactic had possessed plenty of research material about the great deities of Sinnoh.

As the Sinnoh region gradually stabilised, Team Galactic had been swept into the dustbin of history.

All of that information had been lost as well.

Probably only Cyrus still understood some of those records.

Otherwise, Cyrus would not have carried out his plan to control Dialga and Palkia with such a clear goal.

Julian asked curiously, "Cassia, do you know Cyrus?"

Cynthia was a little confused.

Why had he suddenly asked that?

Had Cyrus’s identity been exposed too?

Cynthia asked curiously, "Why are you asking?"

Julian smiled and said, "I saw online that Cyrus seems to be a history enthusiast too. Apparently, he even invested in the Professor’s History Research Institute?"

Cynthia nodded.

"That’s true. Quite a bit of the institute’s funding comes from the Galactic Group."

Cynthia had thought Cyrus’s identity had been exposed too.

Julian raised an eyebrow.

"For the owner of a large company like that, investment definitely can’t be purely because of personal interest."

"I think Cyrus may very well possess some historical records that even the research institute doesn’t know about."

Cynthia’s eyes shifted.

"You’re saying Cyrus invested in the institute for some other purpose?"

Cynthia thought for a moment.

Although her family and Cyrus’s family had been old acquaintances for generations, Cyrus had preferred researching machinery and technology since he was young.

He did study history, but he definitely could not be considered especially fond of it.

Investing so much money...

What exactly was Cyrus trying to do?

Did he want to obtain ancient technology buried in history?

Once ancient technology was unearthed, it only needed to be slightly adapted with modern technology to produce enormous profit.

Modern technology was very advanced, but it was not necessarily superior to ancient technology.

Julian smiled.

"Whether Cyrus has a purpose isn’t important. What matters is whether we can find out what information Cyrus has."

"If we can get our hands on it, then even if Cyrus really does have another motive, we can counter him in advance."

Julian did not know where Sinnoh’s future would go.

As for Team Galactic, this underground organisation that might control Dialga and Palkia and bring the Sinnoh region towards destruction...

It would be best to make Cynthia, the regional Champion, wary of them in advance.

Cynthia nodded.

"I’ll have the Professor try to ask around."

...

By the time the two of them arrived in Solaceon Town, it was only noon.

"Cassia, have you been to Solaceon Town before? Let’s find a restaurant for lunch first."

Cynthia nodded.

"I’ve been here before. I know a restaurant. Follow my directions and drive there."

After parking the car at a spot outside the restaurant, the two of them got out and walked in.

A young man with blue, spiked hair was eating in the centre of the restaurant.

Cynthia raised an eyebrow.

She had not expected to have just discussed Cyrus, only to meet him in Solaceon Town.

Julian also saw Cyrus and said to Cynthia, "Cassia, that’s the friend I met at Chef Saiba’s restaurant last time. I didn’t expect to see him again."

"Let’s go say hello."

Cynthia nodded.

"Alright."

Since Cyrus had not exposed her identity last time, he naturally would not do it this time either.

They walked up to Cyrus.

"Silas, how effective was the calming incense I made recently?"

Cyrus smiled faintly.

"The fact that there are no dark circles under my eyes should tell you I’ve been sleeping rather well lately."

Cyrus glanced at Cynthia, then smiled at Julian with relief.

"You’re doing well too. Bringing your girlfriend to Solaceon Town for a trip? That makes sense. There’s a fireworks festival in Solaceon Town tonight. It really is suitable for young couples like you."

"The steak and lamb chops at this restaurant are both good. You can try them. You’ve helped me quite a bit, but I haven’t done much for you, so let me treat you today."

Julian waved his hand.

"I’ll pay for it myself. Besides, it’s not like you haven’t helped me. The Gallade you gave me is ridiculously powerful."

Aside from Goodra, Gallade was his strongest Pokémon.

Cyrus smiled.

"One Gallade is nothing. Being able to guide Gallade further is your own ability."

"Go order. I won’t disturb your time together."

Julian nodded.

He used Aura to scan Silas’ body. Although he could not be considered fully recovered, he was indeed much more energetic.

Cyrus was somewhat surprised.

When had Julian mastered this kind of power?

Aura scanned through his body, giving him a warm sensation.

His whole body relaxed. It was even more comfortable than soaking in a hot spring.

After confirming he was fine, Julian nodded.

"Then we won’t disturb you. Cassia, let’s sit over there."

Cassia nodded slightly to Cyrus without saying a word the entire time.

Cyrus smiled.

He had not expected Cynthia to end up together with Julian.

Thinking about it carefully, the two of them really were quite suitable.

If they got married...

Cyrus would have to think carefully about what wedding gift to give them.

...

This restaurant really was good.

The taste was excellent.

The only issue was that the portions were a little small.

Julian ate with restraint, feeling that he still needed some roadside snacks to fill the gap.

But then!

The roadside stalls were all gone!

Julian suddenly remembered that today was the fireworks festival. Those stalls had probably all gone to set up at the festival venue.

Cynthia smiled and said, "That was my mistake. I forgot you have a larger appetite. I shouldn’t have chosen this kind of restaurant."

Julian waved his hand.

"I’ll just buy some biscuits and bread to tide myself over. Let’s walk around all the way to the fireworks venue."

They were out on a date, yet Julian was eating while walking the whole way.

But there was no helping it.

If he did not eat enough, he could not bring out his strength at all.

As they walked, Julian and Cynthia saw Cyrus standing in front of the Solaceon Ruins, staring blankly at the statues of Dialga and Palkia.

Cynthia was somewhat puzzled.

When exactly had Cyrus started paying attention to the twin gods of time and space?

Forget it.

She would leave him alone for now.

The two arrived at the festival venue. It was filled with all kinds of stalls.

Food stalls, toy stalls, and various game stalls.

For example, fishing Goldeen with paper fans.

The grand prize was a Gible plush.

The stall owner shouted loudly, "You only need to scoop up five Goldeen to take this Gible plush home!"

Cynthia’s gaze remained fixed on the plush.

Julian took out his wallet and walked over.

"Boss, give me five fans."

After paying for five fans, Julian took them to the pool.

Swiftly, he dipped one fan into the water, scooped up a Goldeen, and dropped it into the nearby pool.

Then he continued using that same fan, relying on skill to scoop up the remaining four Goldeen.

The stall owner’s mouth twitched.

This was the grand prize he had carefully prepared!

It was expensive!

How could there be someone who scooped up five Goldeen with one fan?

The stall owner was already crying rivers in his heart.

But he still took out the Gible plush and solemnly handed it to Julian.

"Congratulations. You reached the goal. This is your prize."

Julian smiled slightly.

"Just luck."

He handed the plush to Cynthia.

"For you. I hope whenever you see it, you’ll remember tonight."

Cynthia hugged it in her arms and rubbed her cheek against it, smiling like a blooming flower.

"I love it. I definitely won’t forget."
