Julian gave the first command.

"Poliwrath, Water Pulse!"

A normal Water Pulse was around the size of a basketball, but the Water Pulse Poliwrath condensed was only the size of a fist.

"Tropius, fly up and use Razor Leaf!"

Tropius flew into the air and had only just fired Razor Leaf when Water Pulse shot forward like lightning.

It pierced through the flying leaves and struck Tropius squarely in the chest.

The challenger’s heart jumped.

Breloom rushed forward and punched Poliwrath away.

After landing, Poliwrath showed tenacious willpower.

The challenger and Breloom were so moved they could barely stand it.

The challenger clenched his fist.

This was the battle he wanted!

"Breloom, Mach Punch!"

Poliwrath raised his palm and blocked Breloom’s fist.

The challenger showed quick thinking.

"Use your tail!"

Breloom turned and swung his tail.

Poliwrath instinctively reached out.

He hugged the tail against his chest.

Even Poliwrath himself froze for a moment.

Then he abruptly threw Breloom towards the sky.

Breloom’s movements were quick. He landed relatively easily.

Poliwrath panted heavily, seemingly only a thin line away from collapsing.

Julian smiled inwardly, then opened his mouth to explain for Poliwrath.

"Sometimes, when stamina is no longer enough to support the cost of moves, basic fighting techniques can still produce excellent results."

"Breloom is also a Fighting type. Properly training Breloom’s fists, feet, tail, and even head can allow them to play key roles in battle."

The challenger nodded in understanding.

As expected of a Fighting-type Gym. So professional!
