Cynthia was so angry she laughed.

What kind of Dragon Dance was that supposed to be?

When using Dragon Dance for strengthening, was the important part really?

That bit of increased Attack?

Speed! Speed! Speed!

Dragon Dance raising both Attack and Speed was what Cynthia valued.

Seeing Cynthia’s expression, Julian could only purse his lips hard and stop himself from laughing.

Cynthia took a deep breath and quickly adjusted her mood.

Forget it. So many years had already passed.

Even without Dragon Dance, she could still be invincible in Sinnoh!

The other Pokémon did not have Garchomp’s deep accumulation. After eating the fruit, their bodies did not react much.

It was probably the same as Primeape. They needed to eat a large amount of local food before quantitative change could trigger qualitative change.

After eating the fruit, Primeape went to the Paldean Primeape for special Rage Fist training.

Gallade also began swordsmanship training with Lucario.

The other Pokémon paired off and carried out low-intensity training.

The main goal was to move their bodies and absorb as much of the Great Crater of Paldea’s energy as possible.

Because Goodra was injured, Julian did not arrange any special training for her.

He let her rest properly tonight.

Julian and Goodra sat together on the grass. Julian gently stroked Goodra’s cheek.

"Does the wound still hurt?"

Goodra shook her head.

Back when she still lived in Hisui, she had been injured far worse than this who knew how many times.

A small injury like this was nothing at all.

Julian said gently, "Goodra, I know you care about Primeape. That’s why you specially went to find fruit for him."

"But when you act alone, don’t you think everyone worries about you too? You were injured by that red pokémon. I think the one who suffered most from it was Primeape."

"I don’t know if you noticed, but that Focus Blast Primeape fired just now — because of you, Primeape broke through his own limit."

Goodra happily narrowed her eyes.

"Goodra."

Julian helplessly shook his head.

"You actually said that if Primeape could break through, then this injury was worth it."

Goodra really was a Pokémon with a very gentle heart, one who cherished her family.

"In the future, you have to move together with everyone. Otherwise, be careful. I’ll punish you harshly!"

After saying that fiercely, Julian forcefully kneaded Goodra’s soft cheeks.

Goodra directly hugged Julian in her arms and rubbed her cheek against his.

"Goodra."

Watching Primeape being sent flying by Rage Fist, Cynthia asked, "Julian, do we still need to explore the bottom of the crater more deeply? Since there are Primeape, maybe there are Annihilape too."

"And the entire bottom should have many treasures worth exploring."

Various special Pokémon, fruits, ores, and other items.

The thought of continuing deeper made a sense of danger rise in Julian’s heart.

He shook his head.

"My intuition tells me it’s best not to keep exploring."

"Next year. We’ll explore the Great Crater of Paldea again next year. I believe we won’t gain any less then."

"And by that time, our strength will better ensure the safety of the operation."

Cynthia nodded in agreement.

"Then we’ll follow your plan."

In truth, Cynthia’s heart also had an instinctive resistance towards going deeper into the crater.

Julian looked around.

"Once Primeape masters Rage Fist, we’ll leave the Great Crater of Paldea."

"Collecting Primeape’s data three times a day should greatly help the Professor develop a method for learning Rage Fist."

Julian and the others could only let Primeape eat the crater’s fruit to accumulate that unique Ghost energy in his body.

Perhaps once the data reached Professor Rowan’s laboratory, Professor Rowan would be able to develop an item that generated that unique Ghost energy.

Julian was more inclined to believe that Primeape’s body originally possessed that energy.

It was just that the crater’s fruit had drawn it out.

Cynthia agreed with Julian’s view.

After all, Garchomp mastering Breaking Swipe had been stimulated by the fruit.

It was not that the fruit had strengthened Garchomp directly.

Cynthia raised an eyebrow.

"When it comes to researching the influence of environment on Pokémon, Professor Birch is the expert in that field. Should we send a copy of the data to Professor Birch too?"

Julian shook his head.

"Let the Professor decide exactly what to do. We’re only responsible for collecting data."

"When it comes to Pokémon research, the Professor is the real professional."

Three peaceful days passed like this.

Every time they went to pick fruit, they encountered quite a few ancient and future Pokémon.

The bottom of the crater was probably the true home of these Paradox Pokémon.

Thinking about the size of the crater, and the number of Paradox Pokémon living on the platforms along the cliffs...

Julian did not dare imagine how many Paradox Pokémon lived in the entire Great Crater of Paldea.

If all of them were released outside, perhaps they really could destroy the whole Paldea region.

Everything was clearly peaceful.

But today, while cooking, Julian still burned the pizza.

Looking at the pizza, which was black as charcoal, Julian showed an apologetic expression.

"Sorry. I got distracted."

Cynthia looked at the sky covered by clouds.

"You feel something is wrong too, don’t you? Life over these past few days has been too peaceful. It feels like the final calm before a storm."

Julian nodded.

"A growing sense of crisis is approaching, but it feels as if the clouds in the sky are blocking it, so I can’t see it clearly."

Suddenly, red light and violent dragon roars came from the clouds above.

Then purple light erupted, blasting open a gap in the sky.

A Pokémon that looked very similar to Misdreavus flew straight down.

Every now and then, it looked back and fired a Shadow Ball into the air.

A red giant lizard flew down from the clouds.

It opened its mouth and spat flames, but Flutter Mane twisted its body nimbly and avoided Flamethrower.

It fell into the forest, flew past Julian and Cynthia, then landed in the shadows and directly vanished.

Koraidon slammed heavily onto the ground and roared at Julian.

Julian’s expression was somewhat ugly, but strong fighting spirit appeared on his face.

"We’ve had disaster diverted onto us."

Cynthia nodded.

"Fight first. It’s not as if we can reason with the red giant lizard."

"And besides... I’ve wanted to teach him a lesson for a long time!"

"Garchomp!"
