Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Persuading Miraidon

Julian nodded.

"You saw the scene when those two giant lizards fought. I believe this purple giant lizard has that same potential."

Besides, in the last simulation, he had obtained Electro Shot, the signature move of Archaludon, a Steel and Dragon-type Pokémon.

And Electro Shot was an Electric-type move.

He had to say, Electric-type Pokémon really were miserable.

The physical move Volt Tackle was exclusive to the Pikachu family.

And the special move Electro Shot had been given directly to Archaludon.

A Pokémon that was not even Electric type.

Today, Julian just so happened to encounter Miraidon.

Letting Miraidon learn Electro Shot would be perfect for restoring some dignity to Electric types!

Cynthia frowned slightly.

"Of course I know he has potential, but you also saw how vicious those two giant lizards were."

"If it has that same brutal temperament, he could easily turn on his Trainer."

"A dangerous Pokémon like that isn’t suitable to catch and raise."

Julian smiled.

"We’ll interact with him first. If he really can’t be tamed, then we’ll let him return to nature."

"I’ll go get the sandwich. Keep an eye on him."

Cynthia brushed her hair back and looked at Miraidon.

"Since you plan to catch him, I’ll help too."

With Garchomp watching beside them, Cynthia believed the purple giant lizard would not dare attack recklessly.

Julian took out the sandwich and slowly walked towards Miraidon.

Cynthia said to Garchomp, "If that pokémon shows any sign of attacking, subdue him immediately."

Garchomp nodded and spread her fins, locking her gaze on Miraidon.

Julian brought Hakamo-o with him.

When they approached to a certain distance, Miraidon, who had originally still been eating grass, instantly changed his gaze.

He looked coldly at Julian and Hakamo-o, eyes full of vigilance.

Julian smiled gently.

"We mean no harm."

As he spoke, he took out the sandwich.

"You should be very hungry. Do you want to try the sandwich I made?"

Miraidon’s gaze instantly locked onto the sandwich.

The aroma of the bread and the rich savoury scent of the ham tempted Miraidon.

"Hakamo-o, stay here. I’ll go over alone."

Hakamo-o shook his head.

"Hakamo-o."

He was not comfortable letting Julian approach such a dangerous Pokémon alone.

Julian smiled.

"Relax. I have some ability to protect myself now. Did you forget... I can already fight Machamp."

Hakamo-o froze.

He really had forgotten that.

He had only felt that the giant lizard was very dangerous, so it was best not to let Julian approach alone.

Thinking about it now, if Julian really got close, it was hard to say who would be in danger.

Holding the sandwich, Julian slowly walked in front of Miraidon.

Miraidon could no longer hold back. He lunged forward, wanting to swallow the sandwich in one bite.

He did not care at all whether he would bite Julian’s hand.

Or even bite it off...

Miraidon’s eyes were cold and fierce.

Wild and untamed.

Julian suddenly withdrew his left hand holding the sandwich.

His right hand opened, swiftly pressing down on the top of Miraidon’s head.

An unstoppable strength directly drove Miraidon’s large head into the ground.

The instant Miraidon felt Julian’s tremendous strength, even his eyes became clear.

It still wanted to struggle, so Julian pressed down again.

He immediately felt as if he were about to suffocate.

It was as if he had seen his ancestors.

In the game, the protagonist had easily used sandwiches to make Miraidon into a mount.

So why did this Miraidon dare open his mouth and bite Julian’s hand?

Was the timing wrong? Had this Miraidon not yet restrained his wildness?

Then he would need more polishing.

He had to be taught the rules.

Only after being properly tamed would Miraidon not suddenly turn on his master.

Julian’s slender fingers grabbed Miraidon’s head and lifted it.

"I give it to you, then you can eat. If I don’t give it to you, you don’t snatch. Understand?"

Cynthia’s eyes widened.

Was this still the Julian she knew?

Cynthia’s face turned slightly red.

She secretly admitted that this side of Julian was really attractive.

After Julian released Miraidon’s head, Miraidon immediately shrank back slightly.

Julian took out the sandwich and beckoned to him.

"Come here. Eat."

Miraidon still did not move.

Julian narrowed his eyes at him slightly.

Miraidon immediately walked over obediently.

He stretched out his claws and gently took the sandwich from Julian’s hand.

Just as he was about to eat it in one bite, he heard Julian say, "Eat slowly. Don’t rush."

Miraidon’s body paused.

Then he slowly began eating in small bites.

Julian nodded in satisfaction.

"That’s better."

He reached out and stroked Miraidon’s head.

Miraidon’s body stiffened, and he did not dare move.

He was afraid Julian would slam him into the ground again.

After eating one sandwich, Miraidon was nowhere near full.

He moved closer to Julian, whining softly and wagging his tail.

Julian lightly patted his head.

"Sit here properly. I’ll go get you food."

Miraidon obediently sat down, tongue hanging out, looking like a well-behaved little dog waiting for his master.

The corner of Cynthia’s mouth twitched. She gave Julian a thumbs-up.

"Impressive!"

There were many ways to catch Pokémon.

Using food to catch Pokémon was common, but not like this.

But someone like Julian, who personally entered the field and used raw strength to tame a Pokémon...

Even after becoming a part of the Elite Four, Cynthia had never seen it before.

Julian took out a jar of Hakamo-o’s food.

Hakamo-o’s rations had already been used by Julian to feed newly caught Pokémon who knew how many times.

There was no helping it. Hakamo-o’s food was nutritious and suited a wide range of tastes.

Julian took out a new plate for Miraidon and filled it completely.

He was still sitting obediently, not moving at all.

Julian nodded in satisfaction.

"Eat."

Only then did Miraidon begin eating, still moving carefully.

For a wild and untamed Pokémon like him, he needed to be trained properly.

Only after he became used to the rules would he listen.

He was different from ordinary disobedient Pokémon.

If you acted gentle with Miraidon and tried to melt his cold heart...

He would only think you were weak and easy to bully.

As Miraidon ate, Julian checked his body.

There were many impact wounds. Judging from the appearance, they should have been left behind from fighting Koraidon.

Julian took out medicine and sprayed Miraidon’s wounds.

The medicine irritated the injuries, and Miraidon’s eyes instantly became cold.

Turning his head, Miraidon wanted to bite Julian.

Then Julian’s broad palm instantly landed on Miraidon’s head.

Once again, it made him regain clarity.

"I’m treating your injuries! And you still want to bite me!"

Miraidon recognised his mistake and corrected it immediately. He lay on the ground, madly wagging his tail.

Seeing that Julian did not react, he quickly rolled over and showed Julian his belly, expressing submission.

Only then did Julian nod.

"Keep eating."

Miraidon immediately climbed back up and ate the Pokémon food in small bites.

Hakamo-o’s food really was delicious. After eating his fill, Miraidon let out a huge burp.

This was the first time in his life he had eaten something this tasty.

He happily lay on the ground, lazily swaying his tail.

On top of strength, Miraidon’s feelings towards Julian now gained a little gratitude.
