Officer Jenny responded very quickly. By the time the medical worker returned to the office, he happened to see two police officers carrying the unconscious Pokémon Hunter into a prison van.
Officer Jenny was somewhat excited.
"Pokémon Hunter J has spent the past year seizing Pokémon from Trainers all across Sinnoh through robbery, theft, and other methods."
"There were also several rangers who discovered her using weapons to capture wild Pokémon. I never expected Mr Octavius to catch her."
Octavius smiled somewhat awkwardly.
"I wasn’t the one who caught her. The person who caught her was Julian Veyne, the Gym Leader of Veilstone Gym."
Officer Jenny of Pastoria City was a fanatical Pokémon battle enthusiast.
Her eyes immediately lit up.
"Veilstone Gym has a new Gym Leader! If he could catch Hunter J, then this year’s Sinnoh Gym Ranking Tournament is definitely going to be much more exciting!"
The corner of Octavius’s mouth twitched.
As expected of Officer Jenny. She’s a true battle fanatic!
Just from Gym Leader Veyne capturing the hunter, she could reason all the way to the Gym Ranking Tournament.
Officer Jenny saluted.
"Then I’ll escort her to Pastoria City’s detention centre first, then come back to visit Gym Leader Veyne."
After Officer Jenny left, the medical worker moved closer to Octavius and impatiently said, "Mr Octavius, weren’t you worrying about what gift you should give Gym Leader Veyne as thanks?"
"I think Salamence is very good. When I went over to examine her body just now, I saw that Gym Leader Veyne and Salamence were getting along very happily."
Octavius glared at the medical worker.
"I’m giving him a thank you gift. If you’re telling me to give Salamence to Gym Leader Veyne, isn’t that just harming him?"
"You brat, are you saying this because you think your workload is too big? If you feel like there’s too much work, I can replace you with a new medical worker."
The medical worker smiled awkwardly.
"I was just mentioning it casually. Don’t take it seriously. Don’t take it seriously."
"I’m going back to work!"
After saying that, the medical worker ran away in a flash.
Octavius rubbed his chin. The medical worker’s words had reminded him of something. The best thank you gift the Great Marsh Safari Zone could offer might really only be Pokémon.
Salamence would not work, but the Bagon Salamence had given birth to was pretty good.
The Great Marsh Safari Zone might not have many other strengths, but it was big enough!
No matter whether Gym Leader Veyne needed high-quality young Pokémon or mature immediate combat power, he could find them in the Great Marsh Safari Zone!
Octavius rode Rapidash back, just in time to see Bagon being tossed into the sky by Hakamo-o’s tail and caught again with the same tail.
It was letting Bagon experience the thrill of flying.
He blinked.
He had already become so close with Bagon this quickly. Octavius did not even need to introduce Bagon to him.
As expected of a Gym Leader!
Octavius dismounted.
"Gym Leader Veyne, you helped the Safari Zone catch a poacher. The Safari Zone really doesn’t have much to repay you with, so let me introduce you to some Pokémon!"
"If you take a liking to any of them, you can use your Pokémon to battle and catch them."
Julian quickly waved his hand.
"I already have enough Pokémon to raise. For now, I don’t plan to catch any new Pokémon."
Octavius directly pulled Julian along.
"Come and take a look first. Maybe once you see those Pokémon, you’ll want to catch them."
Unable to refuse Octavius, Julian could only agree to go and look.
"All right, all right."
"Hakamo-o, Gallade, Primeape, you three help watch over Salamence and Bagon. I’ll be back soon."
Following Octavius, Julian arrived at a reed marsh lush with water plants.
"Besides Salamence, our Safari Zone actually also has a Goodra from the Kalos region. Compared to the violent Salamence, Goodra’s temperament is much gentler."
"I don’t know how Goodra ended up in the Great Marsh. Usually, Goodra doesn’t like going out. She stays in the reed marsh, using the reeds for cover, and almost no Trainers can find her."
"In the end, Salamence still discovered her from the sky, forcing her to battle Salamence quite a few times."
"If you can obtain Goodra’s approval, I believe Goodra would be very willing to change environments to avoid Salamence."
The corner of Julian’s mouth twitched.
Salamence really was a headache.
Octavius pushed aside the reeds, revealing a big cutie with lake-green eyes.
Goodra pulled up a reed and chewed on the sweet core inside.
Octavius smiled and waved.
"Hey, Goodra!"
Goodra also raised her hand and happily smiled as she greeted Octavius.
Walking in front of Goodra, Julian immediately widened his eyes in surprise.
She had been blocked by the reeds just now, so he had not noticed.
Goodra’s tail was actually carrying a huge steel snail shell.
What Unova region?
He had been led astray by Octavius. Goodra was a pseudo-legendary from Kalos!
But the Goodra in front of him was actually a native Pokémon of Sinnoh!
Only, not a modern Pokémon.
She was an old relic from the Hisui era.
Hisuian Goodra.
Julian had not expected he could actually see a living one!
This was indeed an extremely rare Pokémon.
Octavius smiled and introduced him.
"Goodra, this is Julian Veyne. He is a very outstanding Trainer."
"If you become his Pokémon, not only can you escape Salamence’s harassment, you can also become even stronger."
Faced with these temptations, Goodra shook her head.
Then she pulled up another reed and chewed the sweet juice.
Goodra looked at the reed marsh, lay down in the lake water, and let out a comfortable hum.
"Goodra~"
Julian smiled.
"Since Goodra likes the Great Marsh and doesn’t want to leave, then let her continue living here."
The swimming pool Veilstone Gym was currently building could not compare to this vast natural reed marsh.
Pokémon needed to live in environments that made them feel comfortable. Only then could they grow up healthily.
Goodra had already expressed through her actions that she deeply loved this land.
Octavius sighed.
"All right. I’ll introduce you to the next one. The Great Marsh has the most Croagunk. There are a few pretty good Croagunk you can take a look at."
Julian shook his head.
"I already have Croagunk. Croagunk can..."
Julian suddenly thought of something.
Letting Croagunk communicate and exchange with the wild Croagunk of the Great Marsh would definitely help Croagunk’s mindset.
"Mr Octavius, please take me to see them. I want my Croagunk to spar with the Croagunk in the Safari Zone. That should be fine, right?"
Octavius waved his hand.
"You’re not planning to catch them. You’re only fighting a few battles. It’s fine!"
After all, Croagunk often sparred among themselves too.
He directly brought Julian to a patch of barren land where not even grass grew.
A group of Croagunk had formed a circle, and two Croagunk were currently battling in the centre.
Julian nodded slightly. Judging by his eye...
Both of these Croagunk were pretty good.
Seeing Octavius appear, the Croagunk voluntarily made space for him.
It could be seen that he usually came to watch Croagunk battles quite often.
Octavius smiled and said, "I brought you all a powerful Trainer. His Croagunk wants to spar with you."
Julian cooperatively released Croagunk.
Seeing Julian’s Croagunk, the surrounding Croagunk all grew eager to try.
They wanted to be the first to battle the newcomer.
