The next morning, Vuvi and Veena finish up a discussion with Kathoril regarding the Flame Mother quest, pinning down the location of her temple, buried deep within the Fire Mountains flanking the kingdom’s western border.

With the planning done, they head into town to check on progress at the pleasure house.

The walk there is its own kind of chaos, strangers greeting them at every corner, showering both of them with compliments and well-wishes like they’re passing celebrities.

Veena laughs softly partway through, shaking her head. "It’s still so strange, getting swarmed with this much love from total strangers. I spent ten years hiding who I really am. Now people cheer just because I exist in their vicinity."

Vuvi loops an arm around her in a quick side-hug. "That’s just how it goes in our little family. Pip’s a walking miracle, and we’re the ones looking after him, guiding him. Some recognition is expected. Deserved, even."

Veena laughs again, hugging Vuvi back a little harder. "The recognition’s a nice bonus. But being around you, and him, and everyone else, that’s the real prize. I couldn’t imagine a better life."

"It’s certainly been an interesting one," Vuvi grins.

They round a corner and stop dead in their tracks. A long line of excited women already stretches out of sight, wrapping around the block toward the building. The building itself looms ahead, less brothel and more carnival attraction: banners snapping in the breeze, balloons bobbing overhead, magically powered lamps and fire crystals strung along every ledge, and above the front door, a massive glowing sign proclaiming BLACKTHORN PALACE OF PLEASURE in letters bright enough to be seen from the other end of town.

Veena bursts out laughing, doubling over with delight. Vuvi groans, dragging a hand slowly down her face. "Zora and Penelo went way overboard."

"It certainly catches the eye!" Veena says, grinning at the sheer spectacle of it.

Near the entrance, Zora stands in full glamour, transformed into a willowy elven bard, strumming an invisible lute and spinning wildly exaggerated tales of Pip’s prowess for the crowd. "And on the seventh hour," he croons, voice pitched for maximum drama, "the golden Prince split the Earth Mother’s great stone gates, not with sword, nor spell, but with sheer, unrelenting stamina!" The crowd responds with delighted oohs and gasps at every embellished detail, a few women already fanning themselves despite the cool morning breeze.

Vuvi and Veena push through to the front. "Where is everyone?" Vuvi asks.

Zora’s grin widens. "Pip was showing off some new ability. Everyone wanted to test it out personally, and repeatedly, it seems." He shrugs, entirely unbothered by the delay. "He’s supposed to be keeping the customers entertained while we finish setup. That was an hour ago. Everything’s ready to open, it just so happens his new ability is far more interesting to the team than opening on schedule."

Veena bites back a laugh while Vuvi just groans and drags her hand down her face a second time.

They step inside, and the atmosphere hits them immediately: a luxurious, seductively lit fortress dedicated entirely to the arts of fornication. Soft light flickers along every hallway, the scent of lavender and vanilla threading through the air alongside something else, something that tickles at the very base of the spine, an atmosphere that seems to tug at their clothes and stroke against bare skin with invisible fingers.

Veena clutches a hand to her own chest. "This place is dangerous. I’m getting... u-urges."

"We’ve got to keep it together," Vuvi shudders. "I’ve never felt anything quite like this before. Feels like seduction magic."

They push deeper into the house, and the sounds of moaning and satisfied grunts start drifting through the corridors. Vuvi notices the air growing thicker with every step, warm and syrupy against her skin, like the building itself is actively working to seduce them, one slow, deliberate breath at a time. Every doorway they pass seems to exhale a little more of it, until she can practically taste the strawberry on the back of her tongue.

Beside her, Veena has gone quiet, eyes gone soft and dreamy, arms wrapped loosely around her own middle, a slow, satisfied smile spreading across her face.

They reach a door radiating the loudest of the sounds. Vuvi groans, bracing herself, and turns to warn Veena that this is probably about to scar them both for life, but Veena isn’t listening, completely lost in the atmosphere, loose-limbed and smiling.

"Are you okay?" Vuvi asks.

Veena nods dreamily. "I feel so... nice. My whole body feels warm. Cuddly."

Vuvi tilts her head, baffled. "What’s gotten into you?"

Veena just shrugs, grinning wider.

The door bursts open before Vuvi can push it herself, and Raikya comes tumbling out, stark naked, slick head to toe with lube. She spots Vuvi and gasps. "You have to come see this!" She seizes Vuvi’s hands and yanks her straight through the doorway before any protest can form.

Veena drifts along behind them, practically floating.

Inside, they kick past a scattering of empty oil and lubricant bottles littering the floor, glass clinking underfoot. Sera lies sprawled naked across a chair nearby, legs draped loose over the armrests, Penelo’s healing magic pooling warm and golden over her thighs. Sera lets out a long, contented sigh, a blissed-out grin stretched across her face, like a woman thoroughly, professionally wrung out.

On the far side of the room, Lula rides Pip with total, fearless abandon, head thrown back, wings flared out wide behind her and trembling with every motion, her whole body rolling in a desperate, grinding rhythm against his hips. Each slap of his pelvis against her thighs releases a spark of raw magic bright enough to flash-light the whole chamber, thin golden veins of it crackling outward across the dragon-kin’s body before sinking in and vanishing, only to build again with the next thrust, brighter each time, like a furnace being stoked past what it was ever meant to hold.

"Get off him already!" Raikya shouts at her, tail lashing hard. "Vuvi and Veena want to see the new ability! I want to demonstrate!"

"I’m... I-I-I’m d-demonstrating it already!" Lula gasps back, wings snapping with each slap, hips never once slowing. "For s-s-s-science! OH GODS!"

"You’ve been demonstrating for twenty minutes," Penelo yells over her shoulder, still rubbing numbing slime into Sera’s thighs.

"It’s a whole s-series of d-demonstrations!" Lula shudders through Pip’s seventh thrust vector as the glow of his divinehood flares brighter from deep within her gut, and without warning a thin curl of smoke huffs out both her nostrils, quickly followed by an embarrassed little hiccup that puffs out a tiny cinder.

"Was that a firework?!" Raikya cackles, pointing.

"Shut up!" Lula wails, mortified, though her hips don’t miss a single beat.

Pip shifts angles beneath her without breaking rhythm, easing her back until she’s draped along his chest, wings splayed flat across the mattress, and lets a second thread of magic bloom low and slow along her spine, this one shimmering faintly blue at the edges where holy light bleeds into something cooler, something almost like a current of water threading warmth through the room. Lula’s whole body arches at the new sensation, a startled, strangled noise tearing out of her throat, tail thumping the mattress hard enough to send a pillow flying across the room.

He plants both feet, rolls his hips up hard to meet her, and flips their positions entirely in one smooth motion, laying her flat across the ruined sheets with her legs hooked over his shoulders, wings pinned beneath her own weight and fluttering uselessly against the mattress. From this angle the light pours directly into her, and her whole chest lights up gold from the inside like a lantern, veins tracing bright lines up toward her collarbone.

"That’s... that’s new," Vuvi chokes out, while Lula continues clawing into the sheets, scales along her forearms rippling half-formed and retreating, unable to decide whether to fully manifest.

"Everyone’s gotten a turn but me!" Raikya whines, dropping to her knees at the bedside anyway, unable to look away despite herself, ears pinned flat and tail thumping traitorously against the floor.

Vuvi’s eyes go wide, staring incredulous at the sheer volume of magical energy crackling off the two of them with every impact, gold light pooling and pulsing across the ceiling in slow, rippling waves, like sunlight refracted through water.

Beside her, Veena has gone completely still, gaze locked on Pip in an open trance, lips parted, breath coming slow and shallow.

"What in the hells is that?" Vuvi demands, throwing a hand up to shield her eyes from the sparking flashes strobing between Lula and Pip, each one leaving a faint golden afterimage burned across her vision.

Veena drifts closer, sinking to her knees beside the bed next to Raikya, eyes fixed on the exact point of glorious impact between metal and flesh, watching the light bloom and fade and bloom again like it’s the single most fascinating thing she’s ever witnessed.

Her voice, when it finally comes, is barely more than a reverent whisper.

"That’s... holy magic."
