The light illuminated about ten meters of the surrounding area. The Curly-haired Female Player opened her eyes, first turned her head and retched, then glared furiously at Yan Jiayu. "Ending up in your hands means I'm outmatched. What do you want?"

Xu Huo knocked on the "coffin lid." "Why did you attack her?"

Seeing Pink-Haired Player still standing there unharmed, the Curly-haired Female Player, though angry, seemed to accept the reality. "Ask her!"

Pink-Haired Player frowned but said nothing.

Verbal sparring between players in a fight was completely pointless.

However, Xu Huo seemed genuinely interested and insisted on getting to the bottom of it. He said, "You attacked because you discovered she made a move against you first, right?"

The concussed Curly-haired Female Player retched again before saying, "If she hadn't struck first, would I have been crazy enough to?"

Pink-Haired Player looked at her calmly. "You attacked first."

Clearly, both sides believed the other had made the first move.

"Save... save me..." At that moment, the Unlucky-Looking Man's weak voice came from the side. He was nearly being strangled to death by that Female Player.

Yan Jiayu turned around. "Don't kill him just yet. Maybe you all experienced an illusion."

The Female Player loosened her grip slightly but didn't release the Unlucky-Looking Man.

"Why do you say it's an illusion? Don't you think one of them might be lying?" the elderly man asked. "Disguise is a trivial matter for players."

Yan Jiayu scratched her head. "There's no need for that. Who made the first move isn't really important. The rest of us won't help someone just because they're in the right."

"If there's something wrong here, getting to the bottom of it benefits everyone."

"What if we fall into the same trap too?"

Several nearby players nodded in agreement. Pink-Haired Player said, "I have an item that can detect traces of items used by a person within the past five minutes, though it can only detect the quantity."

Xu Huo moved aside, gesturing for her to come forward.

Pink-Haired Player didn't care whether the Curly-haired Female Player agreed or not. She walked straight over and pressed a small electronic screen against her forehead. After a burst of music, the number "16" appeared on it.

"This means at least sixteen traces of item usage were on her within five minutes. I used five items on her."

Xu Huo looked at the Curly-haired Female Player, who said sullenly, "I had ten of my own, and one was hers."

She was referring to the Short-haired Player beside her.

Pink-Haired Player tested herself as well, then made a rough assessment. "No one else tampered with anything."

"Since it's not items, could it be that the food was poisoned?" the Knitting Woman said.

The eyes of everyone around turned to Yan Jiayu, as nearly everyone present had eaten food she distributed.

Yan Jiayu said nothing. At that moment, Xu Huo took the Identification Fork and stabbed the Short-haired Player's arm with it:

"A twenty-seven-year-old female with well-proportioned body fat, containing trace toxins internally. Consumption may result in brief poisonous mushroom symptoms, prone to hallucinations and insomnia. However, natural metabolism can occur within two weeks."

"Eating humans violates moral principles and culinary ethics. Consumption is not recommended."

"There really is poison!" the Curly-haired Female Player gritted her teeth.

Xu Huo gestured for Yan Jiayu to put the item away and warned the Female Player, "Cooperate."

Meeting his gaze, the Curly-haired Female Player had no choice but to suppress her anger and obediently accept the Identification Fork.

The test result was the same. She was also poisoned.

"Test me too," said the Female Player holding the Unlucky-Looking Man.

Xu Huo tossed her the Identification Fork. Likewise, that Female Player was also poisoned. She released the Unlucky-Looking Man. "Let me ask you, did you try to pull my pants down just now?"

The Unlucky-Looking Man's neck had already changed color, and his face changed again after hearing that. He explained in a hoarse voice, "I have a girlfriend! You're not my type!"

"Bro, you're missing the point," a nearby player said, helping him up. "Is this about having a girlfriend? Daring to pull someone's pants down in front of everyone is what makes you a true warrior."

The Unlucky-Looking Man said bitterly, "It was so dark, I couldn't see anything!"

"We're in the same carriage, and everyone else ate the Little Girl's food without any poisoning symptoms. It's not the food's problem. But you three aren't from the same carriage and had no prior contact..." the elderly man said with doubt. "Could there be toxins in the air near the tracks?"

Xu Huo glanced at that Female Player. "Your lipstick. Did you apply it after boarding?"

The Female Player immediately caught on. "Someone sold it to me. I checked it with an item..."

Everyone's eyes turned to the Middle-aged Woman standing at the edge of the light.

"It's you!" the Curly-haired Female Player woke her companion. "We fell for that woman's trick!"

No more words were needed. The three attacked simultaneously.

The Middle-aged Woman's previously ingratiating, mercenary demeanor vanished in an instant. Her mask-like emotions were wiped clean, as if she'd put on a false face. She scattered a giant poster at the three, the enormous sheet almost exceeding the width of the tracks. It rapidly rolled up, wrapping the three inside.

But the next second, the Curly-haired Female Player slid out from underneath. Wearing white gloves, she touched the poster, and the paper immediately fell away. But just as the other two landed, a blinding light item appeared in the Middle-aged Woman's hand. The three instinctively shielded their eyes, yet the woman had already closed the distance in an instant, finishing off the other Female Player with a single knife strike.

The Middle-aged Woman's item was quite fascinating as well. That Female Player had used a defensive item to protect her body, but the crescent-shaped curved blade spun on its own along the barrier erected by the defensive item, then drilled through a gap, piercing the Female Player's heart!

The other two had already put on goggles. Seeing how bizarre the Middle-aged Woman's item was, they exchanged hand signals and quickly split up, flanking her from front and back. They spread their arms wide, and two laser-like lines connected between their hands. With their movements, the lines multiplied like cat's cradle, crisscrossing not just left and right but vertically through the middle as well.

The Middle-aged Woman tried touching the laser lines with her item. Unfortunately, the lines cut like blades; never mind trying to force through directly, even ordinary items could be sliced apart. So she attempted to break out from above. But the moment she jumped up, several laser lines dropped down from overhead, forcing her back into the web. And as the lines multiplied, her available space grew smaller and smaller.

The two Female Players seemed to have a strong advantage. But the Middle-aged Woman retreated to the center position and placed her curved blade on a laser line. Despite there being no physical object, the blade still spun rapidly along the beam, darting past the Short-haired Player with lightning speed!

The laser lines suspended in the air vanished. The item around the Short-haired Player's neck cracked and fell to the ground. As a spray of blood splattered out, she toppled backward!

"Qingqing!" The Curly-haired Female Player's eyes nearly split with rage. She charged recklessly at the Middle-aged Woman, but before she could get close, multiple bloody lines suddenly appeared across the other's face and body. In an instant, she collapsed into several chunks of flesh scattered on the ground.
