Chapter 95: The True Face of the Silver King
The Silver Princes of the past must have possessed extremely high prestige. So much so, that the Arcadians were not satisfied with simply carving their visages into a massive mountain. Instead, they chose to build them by stacking stones one after another.
During this process, the Silver Princes undoubtedly joined in, shouldering giant boulders and marching alongside the people.
The sacred plants growing in the crevices of the stones originated from the hair of the Silver Princes and the blood they shed from injuries sustained while moving the giant boulders.
[Silver Snow Lotus]
[The noble blood of the Silver Princes and the blood of the people blended together in joy and labor, giving birth to this flower that symbolizes pure friendship. The mere Incense of this flower can dispel evil creatures. It is one of the ingredients for the Secret Medicine that awakens the Silver Blood within the body.]
“Look what I found! The secret to increasing the Skill Level of [Silver Bloodline] is hidden right here!”
Greenland buried her cat-like nose into a Silver Snow Lotus and sniffed vigorously. While she was taking damage and losing health from the floral Incense, she panted with a flushed face.
Blaze knew that the pain receptors of Foreigners were rather dull. However, it was still terrifying to see Greenland bury her most fragile and sensitive part—her nose—into the Silver Snow Lotus, which must have felt like a branding iron to her.
Still, Blaze could understand the reason behind Greenland’s excitement.
He noticed that the Profession Greenland unlocked was [Silver Werewolf], which was different from the Profession he had obtained.
[Silver King Level 1]
[An existence akin to a superior among Silver Werewolves. Blood like Silver flows through the body, bestowing greatness upon the soul and granting sanctity to the flesh.]
This was likely because the amount used was different. It caused the concentration of Silver Blood in his body to surpass the standard of an ordinary Silver Werewolf, pushing him closer to the legendary Silver King Lycan.
Awakening the Silver Blood within the body was undoubtedly the method to increase the Skill Level of the [Silver Bloodline] Skill.
And the method of awakening could be seen from this Snow Lotus.
Some kind of Secret Medicine.
“Will Foreigners seize every opportunity to sneak in here from now on?” Audrey couldn’t help but worry about her ancestor’s peaceful rest.
“Impossible. Of course, I’m not saying they absolutely won’t sneak in here, but it’s impossible for this to be the only place to obtain the ingredients to craft the Secret Medicine.”
Greenland finally pulled her face away from the Snow Lotus and explained earnestly. However, Blaze and Audrey found it difficult to tear their gazes away from Greenland’s smoking, scorched nose.
“If it were a Special Profession or an exclusive Profession, then this kind of situation might occur. But if it’s a Profession anyone can obtain, yet the key materials for leveling up are monopolized in a single location—forcing Foreigners to fight tooth and nail over them—then that’s undoubtedly a garbage design.”
“If you put it that way… legends say that the Silver Princes fought in many places. They wiped out many Monsters and repelled many enemies alongside the Arcadians.”
Blaze reached out, plucked a Silver Snow Lotus, and sniffed it. The slumbering Silver Blood within him rippled because of the flower’s Incense.
Unfortunately, the concentration of Silver Blood in his body was already so high that this level of stimulation was useless.
“Perhaps if we find traces of where the Silver Princes once existed, we’ll be able to find these flowers.”
Blaze handed the flower to the eager Greenland and said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, “Why don’t you transform into a Silver Werewolf to pick these flowers?”
“These sacred flowers target the [Death Druid] Profession. Even if I transform into a Silver Werewolf, I have no way to change the existence of this Profession.”
“Then how are you going to collect materials in the future?”
Greenland furrowed her brows, seemingly only considering this problem just now. Then, with an “OHO,” she pulled out a fierce-looking, serrated shovel.
“I’ll just dig them up along with the soil! Then I can find someone else to help me pluck the flowers.”
Of course, Greenland wouldn’t go so far as to bring Destruction to the tomb in front of Audrey; she was merely expressing that she had a way to solve this issue.
Blaze crossed his arms over his chest. Greenland’s words gave him inspiration.
If he used this method, could he obtain those legendary weapons that supposedly only the chosen ones—namely, the Foreigners—could pull out?
He had heard that the incredibly powerful [God Hunting Greatsword], which bore the name of hunting Deities but was miraculously mass-produced, was stabbed somewhere in the Giant Kingdom.
He should find some time to go and pull it out.
The information regarding [Secret Medicine materials capable of awakening the Silver Blood] was extremely important. Greenland was unexpectedly generous; she planned to announce this matter immediately and didn’t want to hide it.
In her own words, she might want to monopolize one-time story events or out-of-print items, but she didn’t want to monopolize other people’s experiences.
She wanted to see many people excitedly discussing how to collect materials and discovering the new abilities of the Silver Werewolf. She didn’t want them to be clueless about how to raise the level of the Silver Werewolf, remaining completely in the dark until they gradually lost their passion and lost interest in the Silver Werewolf and the Arcadians.
It should be known that the Human Species was divided into many ethnic groups. Among them, there was no shortage of races similar to the Arcadians who possessed mysterious Power, and the guides for developing the Power of those races were already well-established.
Compared to those races, the Arcadians only had the current advantage of high attention. Once this momentum passed, there would be quite a few who would challenge the difficulty, but the vast majority of people would silently disappear, only reappearing when the progression route became established.
These words startled Audrey, and she immediately put investigating the battle records of the Silver Princes and announcing the mysterious Secret Medicine on her agenda.
Although the three of them were making idle chatter, their pace didn’t slow down. They gradually went deeper into the interior of the statue. Finally, the ground became rugged and uneven, and it finally felt like a tomb.
The corpses of massive and majestic Silver Werewolves appeared. They were embedded in the giant boulders as if they had merged with the tomb itself.
Without a doubt, they were the existences enshrined by this statue—the Silver Princes.
There were huge, terrifyingly hideous wounds on their chests. But someone had scattered seeds into their hollow cavities, and flowers grew out from there.
This made the Silver Princes look like burly men with gardens in their hearts.
If the people who shed tears over the tragic fate of the Silver Princes saw their remains like this, they would probably shed tears with a smile.
“Let’s go.”
Blaze pointed toward the deepest part. That was the heart of the Silver Princes’ statue, and also the center of all the sacred Qi auras.
The remains of Silver King Lycan.
Anyone who saw that visage would definitely stand frozen in place.
It was not the incomparably majestic, original Silver King who commanded awe with just a glance.
Instead, it was a woman—an incomparably beautiful, silver-haired woman.
At first sight of her, anyone would say this:
If the Goddess of the Moon had an appearance that Life could comprehend, she would definitely look like this.
Silver King Lycan was a woman.
