Chapter 87: The Arriving Dawn Is Named Foreigner

  • Next Chapter

The beautiful stained glass shattered in an instant. The ferocious Bat Giant Beast flung the black Knight away, opening its bloody maw wide to devour its prey.

As the Moon fell, the God’s Curse faded with it. The Silver Werewolf’s fur was no longer dazzling. The Hunters closed in step by step with sinister smiles. They would hold torches, searching for shivering people, intending to plunge their daggers into their hearts and use their severed heads to vie for fame and wealth.

The dark night of Arcadia seemed as though it would never end, but the Sun rose as usual.

Massive Cross Flames exploded among the Hunters, creating what looked like a cemetery of Flame.

A colossal Long Spear flew in from afar, executing a Piercing strike through the Bat Giant Beast’s skull like a shooting star.

Pale-faced Black Witches, clad in pitch-black hoods, raised the Magic Staffs in their hands. They burned the Hunters with wicked Flame, using their bodies to illuminate the darkness before the dawn.

The Sun finally rose. The majestic, silver-haired Knight standing atop the walls of Lai Kaion City raised his longsword.

It was the Horn of attack. The Fairy’s banner fluttered as hundreds of Foreigners leaped from behind her. Before even landing, they all aimed at the Bat Giant in the sky and unleashed their strongest homing ranged attacks.

Those attacks were like shooting stars rising from the ground, tearing through the night and drawing the curtain of dawn.

This was not all. Even more Foreigners were charging toward Lai Kaion City from all directions.

"Are you kidding me!?" Greenland, who had struggled to climb out of the King’s Chamber, stared at the grand scene in disbelief.

"Hahaha—"

Blaze couldn’t help but clutch his forehead and burst into laughter. He had forgotten again. How could he have forgotten? Those were the Foreigners. To use the word "unrealistic" to describe Foreigners was simply an insult to them. As long as the Foreigners wanted to, they could accomplish the most unimaginable things, let alone merely crossing the Arcadia Territory.

The eternal night had ended. The Foreigners had brought dawn to Arcadia.

"Let all your blood drain out!" Blaze slashed down with a Sword strike. The Twisted Greatsword tore open the Bat Giant Beast’s neck, and a pitch-black sea of blood poured down.

[Blood River] detected the massive number of Foreigners swarming from all directions—a staggering amount that absolutely shouldn’t exist in a single battle. As a result, it lost control, releasing all the Filthy Offspring at once!

That was undoubtedly an incredibly terrifying and ferocious legion. Swarming forward through the streets, they were, quite literally, a scarlet Blood River.

But their enemies were the Foreigners.

Earthen walls rose one after another, separating the streets from the Blood River. Then, Fireballs, Thunderbolts, and a myriad of other attacks bloomed in the streets.

In the sky above Lai Kaion City, the Bat Giant Beast, having lost the protection of [Blood River], revealed its true form—a Life as fragile as a flickering candle.

"RAAAAAARGH—"

The Bat Giant Beast let out a roar of Anger, swinging its claws to inflict a Piercing blow upon Blaze.

"[Summon: Moon’s Backside]"

An ethereal murmur echoed. A colossal Magic Array enveloped the entirety of Lai Kaion City. A giant eye slowly opened, and its pupil was astonishingly the surface of the Moon.

On the walls of Lai Kaion City, a petite figure was holding up a teddy bear.

[Claire - Level 75]

This was the eerie planetary surface summoned by the Evil God’s compiler to Twist the enemies’ minds, only the chosen planet happened to be the Moon.

Sunshine illuminated the Moon’s surface, which the Moon then converted into moonlight, blanketing the entirety of Lai Kaion City.

"GAAAAH HAHAHA—"

The Bat Giant Beast let out a grating laugh. Even Twisted into this form, it still possessed the Moon God Curse. Under the moonlight, it boasted what rivaled an Undying Body.

Suddenly, it felt a violent chill.

Blaze grabbed its fangs. Instead of using the Twisted Greatsword, he raised his right hand, aiming directly at its nose, and threw a punch.

"[If God Does Not Forgive, I Shall Suffer in His Stead]"

It was a punch devoid of Power, yet that very strike seemed to shatter it from the inside out, ripping it apart.

Under this moonlight, only one person could attain an Undying Body.

[Skill upgrade conditions met.]

[Moon God Curse A upgraded to S.]

[Curse triggered, entering Sufferer’s Enhancement state—Full Attribute increased by 70%.]

Blaze’s fists instantly turned into a blur of afterimages, splattering blooms of blood across the Bat Giant Beast’s face.

[Blood, I need blood!]

The lifeless eyes of the Filthy Offspring were instantly controlled by the Bat Giant Beast. Hunger and brutality flared in their gazes as they ceased attacking the Foreigners and instead launched an assault on the surrounding buildings.

Anyone looking at their famished, bloodthirsty appearance would know exactly what the Filthy Offspring intended to do. They wanted to devour the flesh of the Arcadians hiding inside the houses to restore the Blood River lost by their main body.

"Stay away from that house!"

Flying Brick, who had just arrived at Lai Kaion City to help Blaze, spun around. The Bone Sword in his hand moved like a violent storm, tearing the Filthy Offspring attacking the houses to shreds.

[Why must you hinder me?]

The Filthy Offspring fled from Flying Brick one by one, lunging toward other houses. They wreaked Destruction upon the buildings, dragged out the innocent residents inside, and opened their bloody maws, preparing to bite down.

The Foreigners were furious. They battled the Filthy Offspring while protecting the Arcadians.

[The future of the Arcadians has nothing to do with you. Do not meddle in our affairs!]

Acting as the Bat Giant Beast’s mouthpiece, the Filthy Offspring shouted words that made the veins on the Foreigners’ foreheads bulge.

[Why do you interfere with our fate? What do you Otherworld visitors understand?]

[They bear the Curse and will never be seen as Human!]

[Becoming a part of me is their blessing!]

[I will find more beautiful mothers, so the Arcadians can be born in far more beautiful forms!]

"You absolute dumbass!" Flying Brick viciously gripped a Filthy Offspring by the throat, looking up to roar at Blaze in the sky. "Blaze! Take that bastard down!"

Flying Brick’s cry sparked a massive wave. More Foreigners raised their weapons and Magic Staffs high, shouting at Blaze.

"Go for it!"

"We will protect the Arcadians!"

"You have to win!"

That was a Warrior Skill named [Encouragement]. It was nothing spectacular, seemingly just a Skill that amplified one’s voice. Yet Blaze genuinely felt the Power brought by every single roar.

"I... cannot lose!"

"ROAAAAAR—"

The Bat Giant Beast let out a deafening screech, attempting to weaken Blaze’s Power. But now, the [Encouragement] Enhancement on Blaze had been pushed to its absolute limit. Even if one layer was weakened, more [Encouragement] would immediately replenish it.

"You lost this battle the moment the Foreigners appeared!"

Blaze raised his fist. This fist represented too much; the immense weight it carried easily crushed the Bat Giant Beast’s chest, obliterating the filthy heart within.

"Let the final darkness of Arcadia come to an end!"

The pitch-black Wild Beast plummeted straight toward the Silver Castle, shattering the King’s Chamber. Ultimately, it was pinned dead onto the massive throne by Blaze’s fist.
