Players' NPC Big Daddy
Chapter 80: Messed With the Wrong Person
Greenland’s battle tutorial concluded with a lesson on disrupting the opponent’s attack rhythm and forcing them into a panicked strike. At this point, they were still some distance away from Lai Kaion City.
With nothing else to do, Blaze brought up a topic many people were curious about: who was the strongest among the Foreigners. Of course, the outcome of a battle was influenced by multiple factors, such as Profession and Skill combinations, so Blaze was specifically asking about the combat power rankings within the Six Vice Group.
"The strongest is definitely me. After all, I’m a championship-winning professional player." Greenland didn’t hesitate to claim the top spot, patting her empty, bony chest. "However, including a pro player like me isn’t fair to begin with. If you exclude me and strictly limit it to PvP, it should be those two guys."
The answer Greenland gave was Cannibal and Scary Clown. In a head-on confrontation, especially a sudden encounter, even a professional player like Greenland would only have an eighty percent chance of winning.
"In our world, one of them is a criminal detective, and the other is a Dragon and Tiger Martial Artist. Their combat awareness is practically cheating," Greenland explained. "It’s just a pity that their Level is too low right now. They need to be at least Level 70 to truly display their strength."
"It would be great if they could arrive in time after leveling up." Blaze was somewhat looking forward to seeing how those two Foreigners would perform once they got stronger.
"Well... they said they finished leveling up and are rushing over here right now, completely stripped of their equipment."
"Boss! Are we really going at a time like this?"
The usually obedient underling had raised this question countless times. The leader, a pink little girl, shouted back in displeasure, "If you want to go back, go back yourselves! I have to go."
After being so thoroughly terrified by a joker player that she wet herself, the pink little girl had completely lost her mind. She clamored that even at the risk of having to restart her account, she absolutely had to kill Herbie.
"I’ve contacted the Full Level players from Aesir. This way, even if we face those Vice players head-on, there’s nothing to fear. This doesn’t concern you guys anymore!" Although the pink little girl yelled these words, she secretly peeked at her four underlings.
All four of them shook their heads helplessly, yet none retreated, indulging her just as they always did. The pink little girl quietly breathed a sigh of relief. Then, under the protection of the four, she met with the four Full Level players from Aesir.
"Well, well, well. You’ve become quite cute after restarting your account."
As soon as those four appeared, they arrogantly tried to tease the pink little girl. The Thief Foreigner among them even reached out, wanting to poke her head, but her four underlings immediately formed a human wall, blocking their path.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to rebel against us Full Level players?" Dissatisfied, the Thief Foreigner tried to shove the men in front of him aside. However, upon pushing, he was bounced right back by the massive pectoral muscles of the Viking Foreigner.
"You aren’t even Aesir’s frontline combatants. You’re just second-stringers who are too afraid to advance your Professions and just stay forever at Full Level."
Having his bluff called, the Thief Foreigner instantly lost his temper. He drew his weapon and was about to attack, but the sexy Mage Foreigner beside him stopped him. However, she wasn’t trying to keep the peace. Using her Magic Staff, she Summoned four small water balls.
SPLASH! The four underlings were instantly soaked to the bone.
"We came to help because your boss begged us. Is it really okay for you to be so ignorant?" The Mage Foreigner humiliated the four of them with her extremely shrill voice. "This is your boss’s most important plan. Do you want to ruin it for her?"
The four looked back at the pink little girl. Seeing her keeping her head down in silence, they had no choice but to step aside in humiliation. This was a battle between two females, and the heavily made-up Mage Foreigner had the upper hand over the pink little girl simply because she was at Full Level.
"Little girl, what should you say when asking others for a favor? How about, ’Please, have mercy and help me out’?"
"No..."
"Huh?"
"No, don’t bully my underlings!" The pink little girl slammed her fist right into the Mage Foreigner’s nose, then grabbed her hair and yanked with all her might. "I’m the only one allowed to bully my underlings!"
"Boss, are you crazy!?"
The four underlings reacted immediately. They hoisted the pink little girl onto their shoulders and turned to flee. During this process, because the pink little girl was gripping so tightly, the Mage Foreigner was dragged along for a few steps.
"Boss, you were too impulsive," the Detective Foreigner said as they ran.
Who knew that the pink little girl wouldn’t care about the consequences? Propping herself up with her left hand, she waved her right hand and shouted loudly, "You bunch of third-rate characters who can’t even get on the wanted list! I’ll be merciful and give you the opportunity this time!"
"Boss, what about our target, Herbie? Have you gone so mad that you’re willing to use them to do your dirty work?" the Detective Foreigner deduced, resting his chin in his hand.
"No, I just lost the mood for it because you guys got bullied." The pink little girl pursed her lips, and then saw the Mage Foreigner’s companions chasing after them. "Crap! They’re catching up! Log off, log off! Drinks and dinner are on me tonight!"
The five of them instantly dissolved into virtual blocks and disappeared. The Mage Foreigner’s companions pounced on empty air, and the Thief Foreigner even tripped and fell flat on his face.
"Ignore them for now!" The Mage Foreigner touched her nose and cursed viciously, "They can run, but they can’t hide! Let’s go kill Audrey first!"
"But what about that crucial storyline..." one of the Foreigners couldn’t help but say.
"What do I care! That’s a bounty of a thousand cash." The Mage Foreigner spoke in a contemptuous tone, wantonly belittling the Foreigner who was so immersed in the game. "Besides, it’s just an NPC. Aren’t the things in this virtual world meant for our amusement?"
"Well, I actually quite like that part of the story..." the Foreigner muttered under his breath. However, the Mage Foreigner didn’t hear him; instead, she continued bossing the three men around in an even louder, arrogant voice.
"We’re going to chase them right now, kill Audrey, and corpse-camp her to farm the bounty. While we’re at it, we’ll kill Hermes too, so Aesir’s frontline players will owe us a favor."
The Mage Foreigner made absolutely no effort to lower her voice. Consequently, two people passing by—who were sprinting almost completely naked, wearing nothing but their shoes—stopped in their tracks.
"You guys wouldn’t happen to be planning to kill that NPC named Herbie Hermes, would you?"
"Level 75 and Level 72? What business is it of yours?" The Mage Foreigner raised her eyebrows and said arrogantly, "We belong to the Aesir guild. If you don’t want to get spawn-camped at the resurrection point, you better get lost."
"Oho, Aesir, you say? Aren’t those the wanted criminals? Killing you guys won’t get us a wanted bounty. Instead, we’ll earn a ton of equipment and Gold Coins. How wonderful."
"Well... I have some bad news. Those two guys might be arriving a little late," Greenland announced.
"Why? Did they run into danger?" Blaze grew tense. Greenland’s expression had turned utterly dark, and her feline face now displayed the ferocity of a fierce tiger.
"Someone is trying to assassinate Herbie."
"What!?"
"Don’t worry. Those two will give those people a profound, unforgettable experience that will ensure they never show their faces around here again." Greenland raised her hand and patted Blaze’s shoulder. Sharp claws extended from her furry paw, scraping against his Armor with an angry, screeching sound. "And you don’t have to worry about them failing, either. Because as for those individuals... I’ve memorized their names!"
Blaze also wanted to feel shocked and furious, but Greenland’s current expression only filled him with sympathy for the Foreigners who wanted to assassinate Herbie.
"T-Then, I’ll leave it in your hands."
