Chapter 1458: Chapter 475: Sky and Sea Battle

But when Hood was attacked, the Bolla, located centrally as the culprit, immediately became the target of public criticism, as one airship after another exited stealth mode and surrounded it.

Under such circumstances of absolute disadvantage in terms of enemy numbers and positions, even if Bolla were indeed a main battleship, it would have no chance of breaking through and escaping.

The players of course knew their situation; none of them thought they could return alive from this mission.

Seeing the suddenly appearing Vasa on the radar, the players were not alarmed but rather pleased, just somewhat puzzled.

Damn, wasn’t this ship in the direction we came from?

Why didn’t we see such a huge ship before?

But quickly, they moved past this matter.

Not important, just consider it as a monster spawned in place.

What’s so strange about a game having spawn points outside the field of vision, it’s very reasonable, right?

However, now it was the Giant’s turn to nervously manipulate Bolla’s two main cannons to turn.

Due to having dismantled most of the ship’s equipment before coming, things like electromagnetic launchers, vertical launching tubes, carrier aircraft are all unneeded, considering they didn’t have many personnel to control these things.

Besides a shell, the entire ship was left only with the two cannons atop; these were the few remaining counterattack weapons on Bolla, apart from the close-in cannons.

Facing Vasa’s missile attack, all Bolla could do was activate force field defense, where each missile crashed into an invisible air wall with a thunderous explosion.

In a world cloaked in darkness, the tail flames left by the missiles darting across the sky were even more magnificent than a meteor shower, with the brilliance of the explosions surpassing any fireworks.

When players possessed their own floating airship, they could truly experience the transcendent feel brought by manipulating force fields, finding almost no drawbacks apart from a surge in power consumption during bombardments.

This indeed was not a technology that should belong to this era; players could not even imagine the rapid advancements modern society would achieve with such technology, fearing that breaking out of the solar system would be just around the corner.

Despite how advanced cyber era technology was, it was still confined within the Earth-Moon system playing human-eating games, truly astonishing wisdom.

It’s just unbearable.

As many warships revealed themselves one after another, Bolla, serving as both assassin and bait, also completed its historical mission, with players aboard minded to trade whatever remaining time they had for a chance to kill as many as possible, with a mindset of one kill being a fair deal, two being a profit.

The Giant disregarded whether Bolla’s hull could stand it, shouting loudly while accelerating steering:

"Mongolian Toplaner, find a way to fire another damn shot!"

There was no time for Mongolian Toplaner to pause for corrections, nobody knew when the opponent’s strong counterattack would come, so every attack opportunity must be seized to inflict as much damage to the enemy.

Family Joy warned Alliance Army against using super destructive weapons in Cuba, but it absolutely did not include Bermuda here.

Mongolian Toplaner’s brain operated to the limit, employing both Sianweistan + brain-computer overclocking.

"Coming!"

Boom!

The bow electromagnetic cannon, first to complete turnaround, fired immediately as soon as it aimed accurately.

The rainbow light tore the clouds, dividing the world in two.

The same attack struck Vasa’s defensive force field, encountering significantly more resistance than with Hood, and having learned from Hood, internal technicians forcefully modified the force field control parameters, changing vertical defensive force fields into curved deflective force fields.

Trajectory of supercavitating shells was inevitably affected, leading to deviation.

The shell barely grazed above Vasa’s deck, immediately activating proximity fuses, exploding in the air above the hull, with the fiery shock wave swiftly sweeping over half the ship’s structure, causing even the height of Vasa’s hull to momentarily dip.

But as the flames receded, Vasa’s deck only showed slight deformation and a layer of black ash without much impact.

For armored units like these, external blasts inflicted far less damage compared to internal ones.

"NMLGB...."

A missed shot had Mongolian Toplaner gritting his teeth, promptly adjusting cannon parameters to prepare for a second shot, while Vasa’s main cannon equally finished adjustment, both sides simultaneously firing at each other’s positions.

Potato nearby could only shout in the channel:

"Brother Ni, are you in position yet? Hurry up!"

"Coming!"

Bang!

It was the sound of fish leaping out of the water.

Only these weren’t ordinary fish but over a dozen strange-looking big black fish leaping from the dead silent ocean, sporting rocket-like cylindrical bodies, with a person still clinging onto them.

hours later, having finally broken free from underwater surroundings, Brother Ni barely had time to remove the breathing mask when he felt immense propulsion from beneath.

Upon breaching the water surface, the electric turbine engine at the back of the smart underwater mine automatically detached, followed by activation of chemical thrusters.

These were technically altered cross-medium torpedo missiles, somewhat akin to rockets in tripartite structure, with the first stage being underwater electric turbine, the second stage chemical propellant thrusters, and the third stage being anti-force field warhead, thanks to Frederick’s donation, otherwise players couldn’t afford these items.

Under the impetus of second-stage propulsion, torpedo missiles began to fly low across the sea surface, targeting right below Vasa.

The underwater forces divided into six squads, each already equipped with personal flight gear; if the Giant had not successfully shot down Hood, then Brother Ni and the team’s goal was to board Hood.

If Hood was sunk, then Brother Ni and the team’s target would be the other warships.
