Chapter 1453: Chapter 473: I’m a Professional Commentator, and Professionals Must Dare to Make Judgments (Part 2)
"What do you think would happen if Americans or those less-than-decent people entered such a city?"
"Uh..."
The Mongolian Toplaner furiously imagined Mussolini.
"Either die in a stinking ditch or thrive, seamlessly join high society, and devour people fiercely."
"Right, but among us, there’s no one like that."
Swordfish said.
"Although I don’t believe in any kind of Jesus, the game developers definitely let us into this game hoping we’d do something, right?"
"At least I think... people shouldn’t live like this, even in a game, shouldn’t live like this, so I have to do something."
Before entering the game, Swordfish was purely a gamer nerd, spending his days venting his ’dragonly’ sexuality online, and fiercely hunting sheep without interest in witnessing.
But after entering the game, at least, at least he didn’t want the society he lived in to turn into that mess of Night City, which would be more merciful than outright killing him.
"You make sense, I think so too."
The Mongolian Toplaner nodded silently.
"If this world were ruled by short-sighted and dumb capitalist giants like Mussolini, humanity would truly be at its end."
Even among all companies, Abby’s operating style is uniquely dumb, akin to money raining from the skies while holding an umbrella, electrified water turned to swimming nude, road-side gold considered as dog shit, and watering trees with boiling water.
The two exchanged smiles without further words.
As the game content became increasingly exposed, the looks Tokyo University students shot at West University were different. Although the game’s content is entirely fictional, possibly just a purely fantasy worldview, the suffering within can’t be ignored. Players took photos of their experiences in Night City and spread them on forums, igniting numerous storms in public opinion.
Particularly those scandals corresponding with events in United States history; more and more filth being dug from ancient stacks, utterly destroying the Celestial Kingdom dream of a prosperous land, flipping decades of disadvantageous public opinion overnight. Anyone daring to praise privatization was investigated and, figuratively, sent to the heavens, while old public intellectuals faced manure thrown at them on the street.
It practically gave every Tokyo University netizen a harsh round of what it means for capital since birth to drip blood from every pore.
This was followed closely by internal clean-up and multiple reforms, as for what the final society will become, only heaven may know.
As the two stared into the night sky lost in thought, someone came clanging with items onto the deck.
They turned; it was Potato and Giant carrying a table, tinkering with something unknown on the deck.
With a closer look:
Whoa!
Unexpectedly, Potato had donned a yellow overcoat, with paper money, steel pipes, basins, and several bottles of pure milk scavenged from the captain’s room fridge piled on the table.
Noticing their approach, Potato turned to see them, his face instantly flushed.
"What’s staring for? Never seen a ritual before?"
The Mongolian Toplaner turned to Giant.
"Ritual? What kind of ritual?"
"Haha~"
Giant let out a peculiar laugh and said proudly.
"That dog Huang Xudong bet with me, saying if I could start the floating ship, he’d fulfill one request of mine. Didn’t expect that, dogcurrency, wasn’t my mastery of driver skills genuine?"
"For God’s sake."
Potato looked remorseful.
"This skill is too cheating, damn it, can control anything!"
Giant retorted quickly.
"What are you talking about? My skill is mainstream, while your Poisonous Milk Celestial Venerable skill is unique, and you talk about me."
"And about the Riding Skill of King of Knights, you know, now that’s Riding EX; give me a bullock cart, I’ll drive it, let alone a floating ship, is that anything?"
Giving Potato a shove, he urged.
"Hurry up with the ritual, don’t think of backing out. I’m telling you, you don’t want to do a ritual, then sing a song of Dancer’s Tears for me instead!"
"You’re dreaming!"
Potato gritted his teeth.
"A ritual it is, like I’m scared of you, watch carefully!"
He picked up a half-meter steel pipe from the table, forcefully striking a steel basin like it’s Giant’s skull, teeth clenched and chanted.
"Poisonous Milk Celestial Venerable above; Disciple Huang Xudong today, pitying those enemy soldiers facing wind and sun, anxiety and fears, opens this altar."
"Specializes in rituals, prays they remain untouched by blades and bullets, fortunate among cannons, bullets miss, peace and prosperity, surplus year by year, victory in a hundred battles...."
Globally, blessing enemies, wish them happiness and health, family joy, and prosperity, possibly one of a kind.
Giant inhaled sharply, shaking his head in amazement.
"Jesus, Huang Xudong, I didn’t realize you had such a sinister heart, I misjudged you."
Yet Potato disregarded him, chanted even more fervently, grabbing two milk bottles from the table, unscrewed them and dashed towards the nearest electromagnetic cannon, pouring white milk glug-glug down the cannon base, spilling everywhere; while Giant joined the frenzy with a trident in one hand, grabbed shell casings and paper money, tossing them randomly.
"Cough... the Borreli I’m telling you is definitely the weakest, and this cannon, it’s definitely a chicken I’m telling you, this cannon is truly a bit weak, and so ugly."
"Look at the other side, what is that European galaxy fleet? Led by Bar, Hood and those... damn fierce, let me tell you, and Portugal’s Carvela, Germany’s Bismarck, Tirpitz, let me tell you, the world’s strongest are among these, the champion definitely comes from them, the Borreliante is like roadside trash."
