Chapter 1404: Chapter 455: Playing War Thunder in Cyberspace, This Lifetime Feels Fulfilled_3

The players’ battleships are full of breaches; many had their bows blown off, severely damaged, though luckily, there were no casualties since they were all virtual machines.

As for Frederick’s side, while its firewall was infiltrated by viruses causing several battleships to collapse, it was merely a drop in the bucket, with most of its strength still intact.

The advantage is mine.

With victory assured, his gaze hardened as he launched a final assault to eradicate the remaining resistance.

The first target was the nearly destroyed aircraft carrier, Wildman and Potato felt the escalating pressure aboard, anxiously scrambling around.

Hey, man.

I know you’re strong, but I didn’t expect you to be this strong.

Can’t we just talk it over?

We just want a shortcut through the Atlantic Ocean, that’s all.

They never anticipated the world boss to be this overwhelmingly powerful; if not for the players returning from the old net searches by chance, they would have been pushed back to the fountain.

Wildman and the others had no experience commanding battles in cyberspace; this war had nothing to do with terrain, firepower gradients, or unit coordination.

They could only rely on individual player efforts, making it impossible to contend with Frederick’s war AI; even Family Joy was helpless.

Wait a minute!

The fountain has defensive towers!

Damage per second is a thousand, totally badass.

Wildman suddenly remembered that No.1 Square had a few NPCs, among which was a hacker whose skills rivaled Lucy’s mentor. They could probably summon reinforcements now, considering the other side was charging towards the fountain.

Boom!

Another missile hit the carrier’s hull, blowing off part of the bow amid the scattering Lego bricks. The Lego-transformed Wildman grasped a railing to avoid being thrown off, shouting:

"Quickly, invite Buddha Tathagata! Sun Monkey is about to storm the heavenly palace!"

"...."

Song Zhaomei covered her face in exasperation, knowing who Wildman meant by Buddha Tathagata but feeling speechless about the nickname.

[BOSS, can I go out and help them?]

[You can, but... are you confident?]

If Song Zhaomei expressed uncertainty, Lin Miao would deploy Lucy with her; he knew the circumstances.

[If it’s just me... not very confident, but if we gather everyone, we should be able to drive him away.]

[Yes, then be careful.]

Song Zhaomei has been at No.1 Square, interacting joyfully with players, making numerous friends, and even assisting in developing programs for them.

Seeing players outside getting hurt, it was impossible not to be moved.

In reality, she couldn’t help players much, so staying passive now would be inconceivable.

It was a chance to test the giant collaborative Demonic Puppet players had previously asked her to develop.

Song Zhaomei’s form transformed into a stream of data flying out of the square, swiftly crossing the Black Wall barrier.

"Everyone, please grant me control privileges, transfer the highest level permissions to me."

The familiar voice instilled hope amidst the dire battlefield, urging players to transfer permissions to Song Zhaomei, even contributing their computational power.

As the most formidable hacker in New America alive today, Song Zhaomei’s talent in algorithm construction was undoubtedly unmatched, even surpassing Lucy in this regard.

Players only needed to request; she could fulfill them fully, and after obtaining Lin Miao’s staff privileges, her computational power soared.

The combined components, AI, and player computational data of the collaboratively constructed cyberspace fleet formed a terrifying figure.

Yet, in the blink of an eye, Song Zhaomei devised a comprehensive control system, even controlling and directing stray, decomposing Lego elements towards her.

Hundreds of disassembling warships converged into a flowing sea of elements, encircling Song Zhaomei like an endless desert.

The scenario looked grim; Frederick detected the scent of danger, ceasing delays, and immediately initiated a full-scale volley, inundating Song Zhaomei with overwhelming data waves that seemed ready to engulf the entire world.

Meanwhile, components rapidly assembled; elements quickly snapped into place that were flying chaotically a moment ago.

Both forces collided, generating a turbulent wave of data, decomposing and reassembling heaps of code, forming numerous bewildering, indescribable data.

Eventually, as those waves receded, an immense figure emerged.

A dark twisted shell bristling with spikes, sinister grotesque tentacles extending through its seams and whipping around.

Its deep-recessed head bore ominous yellow eyes, chilling observers to the bone.

Its body emanated despair-laden black fog resembling a world-consuming force.

She is—Gatandje!

Though uncertain why players settled on such a peculiar evil image, Song Zhaomei had no choice but to abide.

Players’ data consciousnesses connected inside Gatandje, opening a broadcast channel with everyone clamoring.

Inarticulate clamor filled the air, morphing into cacophonous roars collectively.

"Aoooo—"

What... is this?

Gazing at the indescribable, evil black sea-snail, Frederick AI froze.

What?

Guys.

Are you sure you’re representing humanity here?

Tell me in what way does this thing look like it’s protecting humankind?

Aren’t you the real villains here?
