Chapter 1402: Chapter 455: Playing War Thunder in Cyberspace—This Is a Lifetime Achievement

Cyberspace is wonderful, its greatness lies in the fact that shape and strength have no correlation, and even the external performance and internal data interaction are unrelated.

It’s like playing an online game; you see the Nephilim’s Dual Blades striking the Seven Demon Lords with damage numbers in the quintillions, but behind it, it’s merely a bunch of code calls.

Any form or style mash-up can be crammed in without restraint; style or era doesn’t matter at all.

Thus, a cosmic naval battle mash-up kicks off in cyberspace.

"Fire! Fire!"

The Autumn Wind Bulwark’s engine accelerates, its main cannon corrects and fires at the Yorktown of the enemy US Military’s Sixth Fleet, releasing a blazing rainbow beam straight toward the enemy ship.

Ignoring the four-decade difference in style, just in terms of size, the Autumn Wind Bulwark looks more than twice as long as the Yorktown.

And that Cold War cruiser didn’t dodge at all, taking on the sci-fi battleship’s strike head-on. The armor hit sparked a softly glowing red data stream, and when the attack ceased, the red light faded, leaving the armor gleaming as if freshly waxed.

The Sword Saint, modeled in Lego form, sprayed his coffee in the captain’s cabin.

"Shit!"

The ship’s AI, Cortana, spoke in her signature gentle Bay Area Chinese.

"We failed to penetrate the enemy’s armor."

"Sword Saint, the opponent’s firewall is stronger than we expected."

The Sword Saint felt his scalp tingling; on previous missions, he could at least scrape off some paint from the enemy, causing damage. Now it felt less effective than scraping therapy.

As an enemy ship’s MK-45 naval gun began to rotate, its muzzle aimed directly at the Autumn Wind Bulwark, with shields this powerful, one can only imagine the power of its spear.

"You don’t need to tell me, I know, hurry and turn to establish defense!"

Boom!

The enemy’s cannon fired with speed and power that defied logic, penetrating the firewall and armor of the Autumn Wind Bulwark in one shot, leaving a substantial hole filled with scattered Lego bricks.

Amidst the scattered bricks, numerous Lego figures could be seen frantically flailing their limbs in the data stream.

In cyberspace, old Cold War or even World War II ships blowing up sci-fi super battleships isn’t hard to comprehend.

The US Military’s sci-fi movie scenes had chosen the wrong place.

But what one has as a plan, another has as a workaround.

Just like in comic books, regenerative and revival abilities are usually used as a mere stepping stone to unleash chaos, the Lego-style modular program shows its role for the first time here.

Cortana: "Activate assembly mode."

The Lego figures blasted away with the parts, as if activated by some program, quickly retrieved and reassembled the surrounding Lego pieces, leaving behind afterimages from their speed.

In mere seconds, the Autumn Wind Bulwark was reassembled to its original form.

Similar scenes occurred elsewhere on the battlefield; amidst flying explosions, a grand cyber war suddenly broke out outside the Black Wall.

Both sides assumed wartime postures, hundreds of ships deployed to the battlefield, main cannons fired in succession, swarms of drones took to the skies soaring, lasers, missiles, anti-aircraft guns, torpedoes, lead balls, battering rams, crossbows...

Nearly every weapon in human history resurfaced in this war, not lacking sci-fi works, spotting Unicorn Gundams, Demon God Zs, Spiral Force Mechas firing in the data streams.

The warships on both sides, in this world without macro-physical constraints, roared with thunderous cannonfire.

Boarding?

Impossible.

That’s something only done in reality; battles in cyberspace only shatter all algorithm frameworks, never occupying enemy ships.

Here, every cannonball hit is a collision between Demonic Puppets and firewalls. No matter its efficacy, the erupting data wave indexes expand outward.

Numerous data waves collided and overlapped, rapidly impacting the data ocean’s flow, causing vibrations throughout the Atlantic Ocean’s cyberspace, shattering code fragments from the network collapse era into the simplest digital structures.

Some malicious programs drawn to these data waves couldn’t even approach before being engulfed by the wave’s ripples, shattered into nonsensical fragments, then re-connected and reassembled within the waves.

Although this power doesn’t exist in the real world, it still affects reality.

Cities in many states along New America’s West Coast experienced high latency and stuttering in their networks, yet no one could locate the cause, attributing it to network fluctuations or rogue AI actions.

Frederick, stationed on the USS Essex aircraft carrier, methodically utilized computational power and programs to dismantle player warship firepower.

His navy uniform fluttered without wind, unfathomable amounts of data coursed through his consciousness.

Though the Lego program deeply developed by top hackers Lucy and Song Zhaomei wasn’t easily obliterated directly, thoroughly eliminating an enemy ship was only a matter of time for Frederick; once a program flaw was found, disintegration was inevitable.

However, at this moment, an untimely voice rang in his ear.

"Are you fighting them?"

An infinity symbol appeared in front of Frederick, who coldly replied.

"None of your concern, if you’re not here to help, get lost."

"Don’t be so agitated, calm down, my brother."
