Chapter 828 - 700: Chicken Bro
"You reached Level 20, you must have killed someone, right? A murderer wants to fight alongside me?"
Hassan slapped Su Jie across the face again, and Merlin and Maxwell quickly stepped forward to stop him, "Brother Ha, Brother Ha, don’t be like this, Brother Ha."
Claudia couldn’t help but quietly ask Black Trojan Horse, "Why is this Hassan... so peculiar?"
"The Middle East Region naturally carries an abstract attribute,"
The chip in Black Trojan Horse’s head stored personnel information from various guilds, and he spoke in a lowered voice, "Moreover, Hassan was once a reserve ninja for Iran before becoming a player, and he went to the Japanese Ninja School for an exchange program.
You know how Japan is; bullying outsiders is a common occurrence—They even bullied their own princess without hesitation."
Princess Aiko, the only daughter of Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan, attended a noble school as a child but was bullied by classmates who threw her backpack, blocked her in the changing room, and purposefully knocked her down, causing her to develop anorexia and depression, fearing school.
On the matter of bullying, it seems they are impartial.
If you don’t understand the atmosphere or fit in, you get bullied. No one cares.
"Cough, cough, let me catch my breath."
Su Jie slowly regained consciousness and after resting for a while, he performed the Mysterious Marsh Green Blood Skill, overshadowing Hassan’s mediocre Hand Immortal Technique, healing himself and others.
Only now did he take in his surroundings.
The Self-Destruction of the Flame Demon God created a meteoric crater, and the dirt and rocks were baked into murky glass.
If it weren’t for Merlin, the Defense System Arcane Master present, who cast the Shadow Realm Invincible Technique over everyone, they would all have probably turned to ash.
"It’s good to survive this,"
Merlin nodded sagely, raising his hand to retrieve the three bombs.
The number of stars embedded on the bomb’s surface was enough for the group to ascend to the next level. Now, they only needed to store the bombs in the Backpack, isolating them from all external influences, and then slowly defuse them in a secluded place...
"Hmm?!"
Merlin’s hand suddenly froze; the bombs were stuck in the air and couldn’t be stored in the Backpack.
The Flame Demon God was confirmed dead, but the bombs were still considered owned, which meant...
Boom!
The ground at the bottom of the crater suddenly split open, and the dust-covered Sun-absorbing Chicken was sent flying backward, its sparse feathers streaming with blood from numerous wounds, leaving a long trail of blood on the ground.
The spatial rift had been blown closed by the Flame Demon God, forcibly merging two fragmented spaces together,
causing another space to appear below the forest’s base, tens of kilometers deep.
Rumble, rumble, rumble——
Under gravity’s pull, the massive body of the Sun-absorbing Chicken fell back to the ground, crushing a large swath of land.
Thanks to the lively Life Force of the Demon Beast, despite its injuries, it was still alive, struggling to stand with its beak against the ground, and the dripping blood formed a pool beneath it, in which dense white particles squirmed.
Those were... maggots.
Pupil contraction, Merlin suddenly turned around, looking towards the dark abyss at the bottom of the crater.
Two figures slowly rose from the abyss, one riding a flower horse, a Middle Eastern-looking man with a demonic snake tail, and another clad in heavy armor.
Invisible pressure made the players feel as though their bodies were filled with lead, heightening their senses unbearably.
"The 18th of Solomon’s 72 Pillar Demon Gods, Bachin (Bathin)."
Looking at the snake-tailed man, Merlin slowly spoke, then turned his gaze to the heavy-armored knight, "The 43rd, Sabnock."
Merlin had never seen these two before, but as a Clock Tower Arcane Master, he was well-versed in the mysticism texts and could identify them simply by their appearance, attire, heraldry, and symbols.
Moreover, the blood from the Sun-absorbing Chicken was overflowing with maggots, accurately corresponding to Sabnock’s abilities.
"You recognize me?"
With a long snake tail behind his coccyx, Bachin spoke with interest; his ancient Hebrew was perfect, his tone gentle and courteous.
"The name of the 72 Pillar Demon Gods, any student of the mystical path can recite."
Merlin took a deep breath, his brain racing, "Allow me a moment to analyze. As representatives, you two Demon Gods have been premeditatedly and systematically destroying spatial rifts at various locations of the Broken Land for at least the past six months.
If this were some hero-villain-themed RPG game, the underlying reason would likely point to a world domination conspiracy.
However, this is not a game, and your side probably does not have the desire to dominate the Broken Land—it’s too small, with too few intelligent life forms, absolutely no value for domination.
I think the purpose of your side’s destruction of spatial rifts has only one reason.
To integrate the Broken Land itself."
Dead silence fell upon the scene; Su Jie did not bother with the Sun-absorbing Chicken’s previous betrayal (not a teammate, actually), quietly deploying the Mysterious Marsh Green Blood Skill, remotely healing the Sun-absorbing Chicken’s injuries,
while the two Demon Gods, seemingly unaware, smiled and asked Merlin, "Why would you think this?"
"Gravity."
Merlin gripped the Elder Wand, casually using the Illusion Technique to create soap bubbles.
"The spatial structure of the Broken Land resembles a Mobius loop. Numerous fragmented spaces link together to form a band."
As the words unfolded, the soap bubbles linked together.
"The fragmented spaces vary in size. Some are as small as a parking lot or cinema area, while others are similar to entire continents. But regardless of size, most fragmented spaces contain gravity.
And in different areas, gravity levels remain astonishingly consistent."
Merlin’s eyes were sharp, tilting his head slightly, "The essence of gravity is not a force, but the curvature of space-time induced by massive mass.
In the center of the Mobius loop band, there is likely a gravitational source of comparable mass to Earth.
Considering the elevation differences between fragmented spaces, the true mass of the gravitational source could be heavier than Earth by several Moons."
"Very keen observation."
Bachin smiled slightly; indeed, his temperament was gentle and friendly as the mystical texts recorded, "But what does this have to do with us disrupting the spatial structure."
"It matters."
Merlin said steadily, "The Broken Land is filled with traces of human design.
Yet, my guild leader is only Level 40, and despite his strength, he could not possibly create a Broken Land akin to cosmic megastructures.
The same goes for you, Demon Gods.
Given that the deeper and closer to the gravitational source a fragmented space is, the older its ecosystem becomes (some spaces even contain mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, short-faced bears),
I have a startling hypothesis—
The Broken Land is constructed over millennia by numerous Level 40 Transcendents from different worlds and eras, independently and without communication, yet with remarkable mutual understanding, each adding their own contributions, constructing the framework of the Broken Land and Four Realms Mountain.
The Broken Land is the lowest layer of Four Realms Mountain, consisting of soap bubbles.
And now, you’ve burst the connections between these soap bubbles, linking countless soap bubbles into one.
It seems like destabilizing the spatial structure, but in reality, it’s reinforcing the spatial structure of the Broken Land."
Merlin stared intently at the two Demon Gods, murmuring, "Just like the construction team in the real world, only by solidifying the foundation can we build high-rise structures.
Only by stabilizing the Broken Land can we unleash the utility of Four Realms Mountain itself.
Namely, allowing the arrival of the kings."
