Pirate Kingship

Chapter 1324 - 630: The Key to the Gate: 3 God Heirs_4

  • Next Chapter

When the upper ranks of the Deep Dive Church saw the thin mist rising over the pirate ship, they immediately relaxed again and silently intoned:

"Praise our Lord!"

In the Dreamworld overlapping with the Material World, thick fog billowed.

A middle-aged gentleman wearing a top hat and formal dress, with a beard, was walking down a long corridor with no end in sight, carrying a lantern that shed bluish-white light.

The corridor had no windows, only doors of varying size, material, and ornamentation.

He strolled to a door that, though crudely made, was extraordinarily tall, wide enough for a Giant Dragon to pass through, and raised his hand to push it open and step inside.

The next moment, all the ferocity and struggle on Reinhardt’s face in the outside world vanished without a trace, and the blue beard on his chin began to curl and writhe like an octopus’s tentacles.

What now held dominion over this body was no longer Reinhardt, but the Kraken’s [Nightmare] Divine Incarnation!

He gently caressed the Pirate Code in front of him, the corners of his mouth spreading wide:

"Whether I can open the ’Pillar of Hailocus’ and glimpse the secrets of the ’God Above God’ depends entirely on you; I absolutely cannot allow you to break free of your fetters.

Why did I once go to such lengths to corrupt those Bayfolk Exiles and have them steal the Harold Royal Family’s treasures?

And why did I tolerate a mere Bloodthirsty Cult and the White Rose York Family, letting them carry my tentacular Incarnation from the Bantaan Archipelago to the North Sea?

All of it was for this very day.

No one understands the ’prophecy of the Mad Hunt Deity’s revival’ better than I do, and no one moves faster than I!

While the others are still preparing to steal Immortal Divinity from the creator, or obsessing over seizing the Pillar of Hailocus, I have already, through centuries of scheming, peered into the depths of the Bayfolk’s collective unconscious and discerned the key to opening the Gate of the Deep Sea!

That key is the finest heir among the Three Gods Heir of the Human race—descendants of [Holy Father], [Jupiter], and [Woden]!

The pirate’s Professional Abilities have spared me untold effort.

[Plunder as Fire] combined with [Professional Completion], and then using Reinhardt to devour the last two missing pieces of the Pirate Emperor—[King of the Wild Hunt] and [Whale Hunters]—will fully condense the Crown and satisfy all prerequisites.

I shall become the most perfect heir and receive the God Above God’s legacy! Hahaha..."

The core ability at the Pirate’s Third Order is [Plunder as Fire], while the Fourth Order advancement ability is [Professional Completion]:

"There is nothing that can make an old pirate leave the sea. If his leg breaks, he replaces it with wood; if his hand is gone, he fastens on a Hook; if his eyes are blind, he fits a prosthetic eye...

A Fourth Order Pirate Warlord has roamed the sea for many years: his body may gradually tire and grow old, but his Spirituality, through years of plunder, has drawn ever closer to completion.

Through sacrifice, he can fuse the set of abilities he has plundered into himself to complete his being, custom-tailoring unique transcendent ability.

Whatever is Innately lacking will be completed; in essence, it is ’taking from what is in excess to mend what is deficient.’"

By using the Pirate Emperor, the [Blue Dragon King] Reinhardt, to steal the Crown, Rank, and all singularity from [Whale Hunter] Jack Harold and [King of the Wild Hunt] Byron Lancaster,

He can instantly complete a fully formed Emperor’s Crown right on the spot.

Among the strong, there is always one stronger still. The Kraken, best attuned to perpetual slumber, may not be the mightiest of the Old Gods, but in these 1,500 years of sleep it is the one that has traveled the farthest.

The Kraken was riding high in its triumph, and failed to notice that behind it, in "Byron’s" eyes—which had been sinking ever deeper into oblivion—a faint glimmer of Divine Light suddenly flickered.

Byron, relying on his inherent connection, triggered Spiritual Resonance, tentatively projecting his own consciousness into the Activated knowledge body.

In the instant of shared vision, he saw the scene on the ship and was startled on the spot.

"Hiss, they’re all replicas of historical pirates—what kind of Chosen Demon Team is this?"
