Chapter 1005 - 511: The Supreme Treasure Transformed, These Two Children Herald a New Era

He reminded again: "The shield is my secret, don’t reveal it to anyone."

Ling Shuiling muttered, "You have so many secrets," but she didn’t pursue further.

The female secretary turned excitedly: "By the way, I was just chatting on the grass with our twin babies, you wouldn’t know how adorable the two little ones are sitting side by side."

She then asked a question: "If the chat scene included grass, does it mean the babies will awaken with superpower traits related to it?"

Yang Fan affirmed: "That’s correct."

When the seed of superpower was sown for the twins, he infused a superpower called "Leaf Blade," which affected the subconscious during fetal and maternal exchanges, hence the appearance of a meadow.

Ling Shuiling caressed her belly, her face full of joy: "Our babies are amazing!"

Yang Fan recalled something and said: "You can go see Director Chang at the Superpower Research Institute and have him check it."

"Check" also meant — report.

After all, the significance of the twin babies was monumental, giving the state a reason to know.

The female secretary understood this and nodded: "Okay!"

Yang Fan thought for a moment and said: "Forget it, I’ll go with you."

*

Not long after.

In a laboratory of the Special Plant Research Institute.

Ling Shuiling was surrounded by a group of female researchers, her protruding belly affixed with something like electrode pads, with several instruments set around, their screens flashing data like waterfalls.

Everyone’s expressions were quite peculiar.

In the adjacent room.

Director Chang stared in disbelief at the data on his tablet: "A fetus only five months old, with one superpower index at 11 points, and the other at 12 points, both surpassing the 10-point awakening threshold, this is incredible."

The current youngest record for the awakening of superpower traits in Great Xia is 12 years old, so the director was severely shocked to see "awakening superpower traits in the womb."

Yang Fan chuckled: "The era of the new humans has arrived, such events will reoccur in the future."

Director Chang asked: "How many vials of Body Tempering Liquid has Miss Ling taken?"

Yang Fan replied: "She took several vials over seven consecutive days, but the effects dwindled afterwards, so we stopped."

Director Chang gasped: "Looks like we severely underestimated the effects of the Body Tempering Liquid."

Because the Body Tempering Liquid is most effective for young children, the director instinctively credited it for this occurrence.

Yang Fan shook his head: "It’s not just the Body Tempering Liquid, there are other reasons too."

Director Chang smiled: "Of course, I know it’s due to Dean Yang’s good nurturing, but the significance is immense, these two children have truly heralded a new era."

Yang Fan didn’t say anything further.

Director Chang added: "Whenever a new batch of Body Tempering Liquid is produced, everyone scrambles for more shares.

"Once I submit this report, let’s see who dares to vie for it. The children are the future of Great Xia, priority should be given to them."

Yang Fan softly "hmm"ed in agreement.

The real purpose of bringing the female secretary for a checkup was to push this matter forward.

The effects of the Body Tempering Liquid are too apparent, and many internal conflicts have erupted over quota disputes.

Even figures like Mr. Ghost or Mr. Spirit Crows find it hard to quell these issues due to personal stakes involved.

By throwing out evidence, all groping hands can be stopped.

After all, the earlier a superpower awakens, the greater the future potential. Based on this alone, no one is qualified to compete with the children for the Body Tempering Liquid.

The escalation of this matter was faster than Yang Fan anticipated.

Just two short hours later.

A document titled "Provisional Plan for Allocating Body Tempering Liquid Quotas" was issued from the highest level.

The document was signed by all the Governors at its end.

It clearly stipulated: "80% of the quota is allocated to infants under five years old, no one is allowed to encroach, violators will be severely punished."

Ling Shuiling browsed the document and continuously nodded: "They should have done this long ago, I’ve heard some old folks in their sixties and seventies somehow acquired a lot of the Body Tempering Liquid through certain channels.

"Even if those old folks drink a lot, the probability of awakening superpowers or superpower traits is incredibly slim, it’s truly shameless of them.

"Besides, when the production of Body Tempering Liquid increases in a few years, they wouldn’t be unable to acquire it, why such a desperate rush now?"

Yang Fan smiled: "A new era is coming, some just refuse to be left behind and want to struggle one last time."

The female secretary habitually caressed her belly, making a prediction: "Surely someone is going to be in trouble."

Because the document not only regulated the quota of Body Tempering Liquid, but also required a thorough investigation into some recent distribution irregularities.

The Great xia Capital.

A certain material supply department.

Several uniformed personnel suddenly knocked on an office door.

"Knock! Knock!"

The door was quickly opened.

A middle-aged official appeared behind the door, and upon seeing the uniforms, his face changed dramatically, his legs almost giving way.

Anyone with some knowledge would recognize this as the newly established special department from Great Xia’s recent institutional reshuffle - the Xiezhi Bureau.

In ancient Great Xia myths, the Xiezhi was a divine beast with the ability to discern right from wrong and judge good from evil.

Named after Xiezhi, the bureau’s duties are naturally linked to oversight.

The Xiezhi Bureau holds a very high rank, its head reporting directly to the renowned Mr. Spirit Crows.
