Chapter 2449 - 2457: Entering the Laboratory

Having seen through the ruse, Qin Yu wasn’t about to fall for it; he lifted his leg and walked forward.

What Qin Yu didn’t expect was that Holly Rosie was faster than him; she suddenly stepped forward and headed for the door!

Seeing that Qin Yu hesitated to make a move, Holly Rosie knew that Qin Yu had encountered a problem! Looking at Wannata’s meaningful gaze, Holly Rosie confirmed her judgment.

If Qin Yu, the leader of the Supernatural Group, made a mistake, it would be too obvious! On the other hand, if she, an outsider, made an error, it wouldn’t raise suspicions.

"Mr. Wannata, what’s wrong?" Holly Rosie feigned an innocent look.

"Rosie, don’t just run about from now on, you’ve just triggered the laser emitter switch! If it weren’t for the leader’s quick reflexes, you could very well be dead!"

Laser emitter? Holly Rosie felt a wave of fear! Thank goodness her husband reacted fast, or it really would have been the end of her!

Qin Yu also said in a very serious tone, "Rosie, don’t just run about from now on."

"Okay." Holly Rosie nodded.

Qin Yu casually walked into the bathroom, which had no convenient facilities, just a lone, large elevator.

"Please, Mr. Alexander," Wannata gestured, knowing that if Alexander’s access wasn’t sufficient, there would be no need for him to dismiss anyone personally.

Unfortunately for Wannata, he was doomed to be disappointed because as the leader of the Supernatural Group, how could Alexander possibly lack access to the Supernatural Group’s genetics laboratory?

To be precise, in the Supernatural Group, only Alexander had such access, others could only move around the periphery.

The elevator had no superfluous mechanisms, and Qin Yu smoothly passed the fingerprint and iris verification; with a beep, the elevator doors opened.

"After you," Qin Yu invited Holly Rosie to enter first with gentlemanly courtesy.

Politely nodding, Holly Rosie stepped into the elevator with confidence.

Qin Yu didn’t directly enter the elevator because he didn’t know which floor housed the Supernatural Group’s genetics laboratory; he turned to Wannata and made a ’please’ gesture.

Seeing that Alexander indeed had access, Wannata couldn’t say anything more and resignedly entered the elevator, then casually pressed the button for the negative seventh floor.

Seeing Wannata select the floor, Qin Yu’s mouth curled slightly upward; he had finally made it through the first challenge.

Qin Yu casually stepped into the elevator and closed the doors.

Since it was an elevator exclusively for the Supernatural Group, it was very fast, with a strong sensation of weightlessness! It was only about a minute later when the elevator came to a stop!

Along the way, Qin Yu saw many heavily armed soldiers, all of whom wore helmets and had their faces covered.

According to his experience, this place should not be a laboratory, but a secret base; the lab should be tucked away in a corner of the secret base.

Fearing Qin Yu would give them away, Holly Rosie hurriedly said, "Mr. Wannata, please lead the way."

Wannata nodded his head and kept leading the two through the base.

Deep inside the base was a domed structure where several Caucasian elders were observing Qin Yu and his party through video.

"Strange, wasn’t it said that Alexander went to Huaxia? How has he returned so quickly? Why is he coming to our genetics laboratory?"

"Joseph, your information is really poor. Alexander went to Huaxia to kill the deity, and with the Grim Reaper in the United States, naturally, Alexander had to come back."

"That’s true."

Of course, Qin Yu noticed surveillance cameras observing him all along the route, but he made no attempt to avoid them. After all, he was Alexander now.

Along the way, the trio passed through several verification processes, and with each one, Qin Yu could feel the strength of the patrolling soldiers around him growing!

This scene left Wannata bewildered; how could this be? The last time, even the deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was denied entry, so why did Alexander have such extensive access?

"Stop dawdling, let’s go in." Seeing Wannata looking dazed, Qin Yu grinned and motioned for him to follow. After all, wasn’t Wannata a Divine Chosen Warrior? How could his clearances not be extensive?

Wannata snapped out of it and quickly entered the Genetics Laboratory, leading the two briskly towards the director’s office.

The director’s office was close to the main entrance; it took less than five minutes for the three to arrive.

The director of the Genetic Research Institute, Joseph, was excited upon receiving Wannata’s message. They had just run out of the Grim Reaper’s blood, and it was from before the evolution!

If they could obtain blood from the Grim Reaper after its evolution, the strength of the Genetic Warriors would surely surge! They might even create Genetic Warriors that could rival Divine Chosen Warriors!

Then, their Genetic Research Institute would no longer be trampled under the Maya Temple’s feet! No more grovelling for genetics and blood from Divine Chosen Warriors.

If it weren’t for the need to maintain the dignity of his position, Joseph probably would have burst out of his office and given Holly Rosie a fervent welcome.

Thud, thud, thud, Joseph finally heard a knock at the door. Suppressing his excitement, he said in a deep voice, "Come in."

With a creak, Wannata pushed open the office door and, suppressing his excitement, said, "Director, I have brought Rosie to you."

"Welcome, welcome, a very warm welcome!" The two elders moved past Wannata and rushed to Holly Rosie’s side, their faces lit up with excitement as if beholding a rare treasure!

"Good day, Director Joseph, good day, Deputy Director Mike," Holly Rosie said with a restrained smile.
