Chapter 2430 - 2438: The Great Bluff

Qin Yu and Holly Rosie leisurely walked towards the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Although Rosie’s attire was quite peculiar, the hotel staff were of high quality and did not judge, welcoming the two into the hotel with enthusiasm.

Holly Rosie was clearly familiar with the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and led Qin Yu straight to the elevator.

In fact, Qin Yu had visited the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles multiple times. He purposely pretended to be unfamiliar with it, following Holly Rosie to the elevator.

While waiting for the elevator, Qin Yu curiously looked at the Maitreya Buddha in the center of the lobby.

"The owner of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Old Quinta, had a cerebrovascular disease. I helped cure his illness and took the opportunity to acquaint him with Eastern culture. And then the old guy fell in love with Huaxia’s Buddhist culture."

Qin Yu rolled his eyes, "Rosie, I just realized you’re a big bluff."

"Hmph! Not at all," Holly Rosie retorted with an annoyed look and rolled her eyes at Qin Yu. In her heart, though, she thought, I really wish I could bluff my way into your heart.

As they talked, the elevator finally arrived and the doors opened, revealing several familiar faces stepping out.

After entering the elevator and watching the backs of those people, Qin Yu laughed, "Rosie, why do I feel like they look familiar?"

"They’re all Hollywood actors. It’s normal for you to find them familiar. That one is the actor who portrays Captain America, that one is the rock Jiang Sen, and that one is..." Taking advantage of the still-open elevator doors, Holly Rosie introduced each one to Qin Yu.

"It’s hard enough to see one or two celebrities normally, it’s a pity I’m not a fan. Otherwise, I’d die happy," Qin Yu chuckled.

"The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles has hosted 80% of America’s national-level press conferences, including blockbuster media meet-ups, quarterly award ceremonies, and the grandest Hollywood events and parties. It’s normal to see all the stars here," Holly Rosie said with a smile.

"So, am I lucky today to have your company at such an upscale reception?"

"Stop it! Always bullying me!" Holly Rosie pouted and playfully punched Qin Yu’s chest.

"Rosie, I’m curious. From what you’ve told me, today’s reception seems to be an entertainment industry gathering. How is it related to my mission?" Qin Yu asked, smiling at Rosie.

"Wannata, the deputy director of the Supernatural Group’s Genetic Research Institute, is Daoersen Peili’s good buddy. Daoersen’s parties are not to be missed by him."

"Rosie, you really are clever. If you volunteered, the Supernatural Group would surely suspect something. But, if you’re invited, then there’s no problem at all."

"Yeah! How are you going to thank me after this is over?" Holly Rosie asked playfully, winking.

"What would you like as a thank you?" Qin Yu’s heart ached. As long as you don’t want me as a person, whatever you want, I will find for you.

"Seeing how troubled you look, let’s forget about the thank you. Consider it a debt I owed you in my past life," Rosie’s mood suddenly dipped.

"Rosie, I think, it won’t be long before I come to the United States again. When that time comes, how about I spend a day making it up to you?"

Holly Rosie’s face changed instantly. She shook her head non-stop, "Qin, I’d rather you never come to America again! That place is terrible! It has claimed the lives of Divine Realm experts before. Please don’t be rash!"

Qin Yu shrugged, unconcerned.

With a ding, the elevator doors opened, and Qin Yu stepped out first. Holly Rosie sighed softly and followed Qin Yu’s steps, knowing that Qin Yu hadn’t taken her words seriously at all.

"Sir, please show your invitation," two men in black stopped Qin Yu’s steps at the entrance of the banquet hall.

Qin Yu shrugged his shoulders and mumbled something to Holly Rosie behind him. When the two men in black saw Holly Rosie’s non-mainstream attire, they were taken aback for a moment.

Fortunately, the two men in black were quite professional and did not neglect Holly Rosie because of her clothes, "Ma’am, please show your invitation."

Holly Rosie rummaged through her purse and flashed the invitation, prompting the guards to quickly step aside and usher the two into the lobby.

Upon entering the lobby, Holly Rosie’s complexion suddenly turned a bit ugly. Clutching her stomach, she looked miserable and said, "Qin, I think I ate something bad. I need to use the restroom."

"I told you not to eat so much junk food. See, you feel terrible, don’t you? Do you want me to stick some needles in you?"

"Wait until I’m done here. I can’t take it, I can’t take it." After speaking, Holly Rosie hurried to the restroom, irresponsibly leaving Qin Yu behind.

Qin Yu could tell Holly Rosie wasn’t faking it and could only smile wryly while looking around, hoping to find a quiet corner to wait for her.

Soon, Qin Yu’s eyes lit up, and he spotted an empty corner. He walked over leisurely.

He had only taken a few steps when a server stopped him and asked in a friendly voice, "Sir, are you from Huaxia?"

"Yes, I’m studying abroad here in the United States and working part-time to support myself. Please come this way, Sir, the Huaxia VIP area is over here." The girl seemed very excited.

Following the direction the server pointed to, Qin Yu saw a group of Huaxia people with black hair and black eyes gathered together in a corner of the lobby.

Qin Yu nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and followed the server girl to the Huaxia VIP area.

As they got closer to the Huaxia VIP area, the server girl’s expression grew more bizarre. When they were about five meters away from the area, the server girl suddenly stopped.

"Sir, that over there is the Huaxia VIP area. I hope you enjoy yourself."

After saying that, the girl turned and left.

Qin Yu stood there puzzled, unable to understand what was going on with the girl. While he was still looking bewildered, a young man wearing gold-rimmed glasses stepped forward from the Huaxia VIP area.

The young man had fair skin, narrow phoenix eyes, and was quite handsome. However, the smile at the corner of his mouth was somewhat effeminate, detracting from his overall appearance.

What made Qin Yu feel even more uncomfortable was the mixed aura coming from this person. In just one month, he had mingled with over a dozen women!

Moreover, not many of these women were clean, and Qin Yu did not like the scent on his body at all.

"Lu Shiqi, what a coincidence?" the young man quickly stepped forward, blocking the server girl’s path.

Qin Yu raised an eyebrow. Lu Shiqi, not a bad name, fitting for her.

Lu Shiqi shuddered. Li Xuejie was a direct descendant of the Li Family in Capital City and her classmate. Knowing that Lu Shiqi was studying in the United States, Li Xuejie also followed her here.

Li Xuejie did not come to study properly but somehow secured money to invest in filmmaking. Thanks to his family’s connections, Li Xuejie’s venture was quite successful.
