Peerless Medical Emperor
Chapter 339: Wu Tian’s End
Chen Qingdi stood on high ground, looking down at the Yamaguchi Group security team below. He took a deep breath and said, "Our objective is to attack Medical God Island, capture Wu Tian alive, and rescue all the experts, the hostages, and Lone Wolf. Do you understand?"
His subordinates answered in unison, "Understood!"
Chen Qingdi continued, "You’ll be working with Jingshang Xiong, the security captain of the Yamaguchi Group. I expect you to cooperate fully and follow his orders. Understood?"
"Understood!"
Jingshang Xiong walked over, a troubled look on his face. "This puts us in a very difficult position," he said. "We can guarantee that we’ll take out Wu Tian, but ensuring the safety of the experts and hostages will be extremely difficult."
Chen Qingdi frowned. "If you fail this mission, your fate will be a miserable one. I’ll have you know, I don’t keep useless men. If you prove to be useless, you’ll be disposed of like trash."
Jingshang Xiong said resignedly, "I understand, Mr. Chen. We will do our job well. We won’t be useless."
Chen Qingdi nodded. "Good. Now, move out!"
The group then began to advance toward Medical God Island. They moved silently through a stretch of jungle and arrived at the island’s entrance—a small dock where several of Wu Tian’s men were on patrol.
With a wave of Jingshang Xiong’s hand, his men immediately fanned out and launched their attack.
Their movements were swift, and they took out Wu Tian’s men in an instant. Then, they began to advance onto the island.
As they advanced, they encountered considerable resistance. But Chen Qingdi and Jingshang Xiong were both highly experienced, and they soon located Wu Tian’s hiding place.
They launched their assault, but Wu Tian’s men were tenacious and fought back relentlessly. Both Chen Qingdi and Jingshang Xiong sustained injuries, but they didn’t stop. They kept up the attack until Wu Tian was captured.
Next, they began searching for the experts and hostages. After a thorough search, they finally found where the hostages were being held. They saw that the experts and hostages were all sitting there, safe and sound.
A pleased Chen Qingdi walked over to them. "You’re safe now. We will ensure your protection."
He then asked a question, "Where is Lone Wolf?"
A middle-aged man among the hostages stood up and said, "I am Lone Wolf."
’This man looks nothing like Lone Wolf.’
Chen Qingdi said, astonished, "You’re Lone Wolf? How did you end up here?"
Lone Wolf said, "Wu Tian captured me to use as a hostage, and I was locked up here with everyone else. I was looking for a chance to get out, and I used the chaos to put on a disguise and escape."
Chen Qingdi said gratefully, "Thank you. You’ve provided us with very important information."
He then said to Jingshang Xiong, "Let’s head back. Some of Wu Tian’s remnants are still putting up a fight. We need to figure out how to eliminate them."
After returning to a secure location, Chen Qingdi said to Jingshang Xiong, "You did well. I’m going to reward you."
Jingshang Xiong said, overjoyed, "Thank you, Mr. Chen."
Chen Qingdi continued, "But you must also remember, I don’t keep useless men. If you fail to perform in the future, I will show you just how severe I can be."
Jingshang Xiong replied with the utmost seriousness, "I will always perform my duties well."
Jingshang Xiong, a Samurai from Japan, maintained his unconditional obedience to orders, even in a foreign land.
When Chen Qingdi gave the order, he executed it without hesitation, leading his men to swiftly subdue Wu Tian.
Wu Tian was taken to a dark basement where Jingshang Xiong personally conducted a brutal interrogation. His face was filled with fury, and he was merciless.
Wu Tian was beaten black and blue, but he never begged for mercy.
"Why the betrayal?" Jingshang Xiong asked coldly.
Wu Tian looked at Jingshang Xiong, his eyes filled with grim resolve. He knew there was no escape.
"You’re just Chen Qingdi’s lapdog. Who are you to question me?" Wu Tian sneered. "Tell Chen Qingdi to come see me in my cell."
Hearing this, Jingshang Xiong’s expression darkened. He turned and left, heading to Chen Qingdi’s office to report.
Chen Qingdi sat in his office, his face devoid of expression as he listened to Jingshang Xiong’s report. He was silent for a moment, then said, "Starve him for a few days. We don’t need that mad dog biting anyone."
Jingshang Xiong nodded and left the office. Following Chen Qingdi’s instructions, he deprived Wu Tian of all sustenance. Locked in his cell without food or water, Wu Tian could only endure the torment of starvation.
A few days later, Chen Qingdi summoned Jingshang Xiong again. He inquired about Wu Tian’s condition, and Jingshang Xiong replied, "He’s on the brink of starving to death."
Chen Qingdi gave a faint smile. He ordered Jingshang Xiong to bring Wu Tian to his office. When Wu Tian was brought in, he was emaciated and ghastly pale.
"Wu Tian, do you know why I let you starve for so long?" Chen Qingdi asked with a smile.
Wu Tian didn’t answer, merely staring at him in silence.
"It’s because I wanted you to understand that betraying me does not end well," Chen Qingdi continued. "You were once my right-hand man, but you betrayed me. Now, I’m going to show you the consequences of that betrayal."
A wave of desolation washed over Wu Tian. He knew he had no way out and could only silently accept his fate.
"However, I won’t let you die so easily," Chen Qingdi added. "I’m going to keep you alive and make you watch as your family and friends die, one by one. I want you to truly understand the price of betraying me."
Despair gripped Wu Tian’s heart. He knew he could no longer escape his destiny.
From then on, Wu Tian was locked away in an even darker basement, where he was subjected to brutal torture and torment every day.
His family and friends died one by one, and he was powerless to do anything for them. He could only endure it all in silence, waiting for death’s release.
In the end, Wu Tian died in endless agony. His body was discarded in a desolate wasteland, with no one to claim it.
His name became a forbidden topic; no one dared to speak it. And the architect of it all was none other than Chen Qingdi.
But the dead have no power to resist. He may have felt regret, but it was utterly meaningless.
