Chapter 337: Qingzi's Plan

Wu Tian knew he couldn’t convince Zhu Shasha to change her mind. He also knew his affairs had been a huge blow to her.

He could only say, “In that case, I’ll have someone escort you out.”

Zhu Shasha said gratefully, “Thank you, Tian.”

At that moment, Chen Qingdi was lying on the hotel bed, holding Yamaguchi Aiko, the chairman of the Yamaguchi Group, in his arms.

He said to her, “You should be doing what needs to be done. I have to get back to Medical God Island as quickly as possible to deal with Wu Tian and rescue my people. You understand that.”

But Yamaguchi Aiko just snuggled submissively in Chen Qingdi’s arms and said directly.

“I’m your woman now. The entire Yamaguchi Group will follow your orders. I’ll do whatever you say, and my people can be ready to move out at any time.”

But Chen Qingdi shook his head. “Can you guarantee that all your people will follow orders? What if someone gets out of line?”

Yamaguchi Aiko immediately swore, pointing to the heavens, “If anyone dares to disobey, they’ll be digging their own grave. No one will be able to save them.”

After getting this assurance, Chen Qingdi offered her a few words of encouragement, but Yamaguchi Aiko suddenly said, “I want to have your baby.”

Chen Qingdi looked at her, surprised. He hadn’t expected her to say that. He gazed at her beautiful face, a flicker of tenderness in his eyes. He knew he had fallen deeply in love with this woman.

“Are you sure?” Chen Qingdi asked.

“I’m sure,” Yamaguchi Aiko said firmly. “I want to have your baby so that our love can live on.”

Hearing this, Chen Qingdi was deeply moved.

He held Yamaguchi Aiko tightly, his eyes glistening with tears. They embraced, feeling each other’s breath and warmth. Their love was sublimated that night, and their future seemed all the more beautiful.

Yamaguchi Aiko sat on the sofa, gazing tenderly at Chen Qingdi. Her eyes, shimmering with deep affection, radiated a palpable warmth.

“Qingzi, you’re the chairman of the Yamaguchi Group now. You need to project some authority when you’re out. Don’t be so gentle, or people will take advantage of you,” Chen Qingdi said earnestly, patting her hand as he sat on the sofa.

“I know. I’ll try my best,” Yamaguchi Aiko replied with a smile.

“But you should still keep your tenderness and kindness. That’s your true nature, and it’s what I love most about you,” Chen Qingdi added.

“Mm, I will.” Yamaguchi Aiko lowered her head, a blush creeping onto her cheeks.

“Good. Go back to the Yamaguchi Group right now. Have the security team select fifty members to accompany me to Medical God Island. I’m going to scout things out first. I’ll be back tomorrow.” Chen Qingdi stood up, ready to leave.

“You’re leaving so soon?” Yamaguchi Aiko asked, unable to hide her reluctance.

“Yes. I need to get things arranged as quickly as possible so I can come back to you,” Chen Qingdi said, walking over and gently embracing her.

“You have to be careful. You have to come back,” Yamaguchi Aiko whispered in his arms.

“Okay, I’ll be careful.” Chen Qingdi gently patted her on the shoulder and then left the room.

Yamaguchi Aiko was left alone in the room. She sat silently on the sofa, her gaze distant and empty.

She knew his mission was dangerous, but she couldn’t do anything to share the burden. All she could do was silently pray for his safe return.

Time ticked by, second by agonizing second. Yamaguchi Aiko watched as the sky outside her window slowly began to lighten.

She knew Chen Qingdi had already left the city, on his way to Medical God Island to execute his plan. She could only wait for him, alone in her room.

The day was excruciatingly long for Yamaguchi Aiko. She paced restlessly around the room or idly flipped through magazines on the sofa.

She was worried sick about Chen Qingdi’s safety, but there was nothing she could do to ease her anxiety.

Finally, as dusk settled, a black sedan pulled up to the entrance of the Yamaguchi Group headquarters.

Yamaguchi Aiko shot up from the sofa and hurried to the door to greet him. When she saw Chen Qingdi step out of the car, safe and sound, she could finally breathe again.

“You’re back,” Yamaguchi Aiko said softly, stepping forward to embrace him.

“Yes, I’m back,” Chen Qingdi replied with a smile.

Yamaguchi Aiko, chairman of the Yamaguchi Group, sat in her office, her expression dark.

The fine porcelain cup in her hand was as fragile as her current mood. It spun slowly in her grasp as her sharp, knife-like gaze fixed on the door.

“Jingshang Xiong, do you know your offense?” she finally spoke, her voice like a cold blade slicing through the air.

A tall, powerfully built man in a security uniform stood in the doorway, his expression resolute yet tinged with helplessness.

He was none other than Jingshang Xiong, the Yamaguchi Group’s captain of security. Hearing Yamaguchi Aiko’s accusation, he frowned, a flicker of hurt and frustration in his eyes.

“Chairman, I…” He took a step forward, trying to explain.

“I don’t want to hear your excuses!” Yamaguchi Aiko cut him off, the porcelain cup tracing an arc through the air.

“You were ordered to assemble here within fifteen minutes, yet you’re this late. That is a blatant disregard for my command!”

Jingshang Xiong’s brow furrowed, a pained expression crossing his handsome face. He dropped his hands to his sides and clenched his fists, as if suppressing a rising tide of anger.

“Chairman, I truly did my best,” he said, taking a deep breath and trying to keep his voice steady.

“The security team’s barracks are some distance from the main office. As soon as I got the notice, I assembled the team and we rushed over. But we got stuck in traffic.”

“Traffic?” Yamaguchi Aiko sneered. “Traffic is no excuse! You should have arrived on time even if you had to crawl here!” Her voice was filled with resolute authority.

Jingshang Xiong’s chest heaved, a flicker of anger in his eyes. He clenched his fists so hard his knuckles turned white.

‘Countless feelings of helplessness and rage churned within him, but he could only suppress them.’ He knew that in the face of this woman, his only option was to submit.

“Yes, Chairman.” He lowered his head, his voice laced with deep frustration and defeat. “I understand.”

At that moment, Yamaguchi Aiko, chairman of the Yamaguchi Group, snapped angrily at her security captain, Jingshang Xiong.

“You will now report to Mr. Chen Qingdi and follow his every command. If anything goes wrong, I will not let you off easily.”

Unexpectedly, Jingshang Xiong was not one bit convinced. He stared back blankly and retorted.

“Chairman, you can’t ask me to take orders from one of the Dragon Country People. He is not worthy of having us, the people of Japan, serve him!”
