Gong Liangbu said.

"Alright."

Gong Liangbu said.

"What’s that?"

"The Martial Medicine Association is holding a meeting. I’m not sure what it’s about exactly."

"I’m going to take Nie Xing with me."

"I was thinking maybe he could join the Martial Medicine Association too."

"That would give him an extra layer of protection under the Association."

Gong Liangbu said.

"Alright."

Chen Qingdi nodded, not objecting to the idea.

After all, having the protection of the Martial Medicine Association wasn’t a bad thing for him either.

Gong Liangbu said.

"Got it."

Nie Xing and Gong Liangbu nodded.

Just as they left and their car disappeared into the distance, several figures suddenly flickered out from a patch of woods near the main gate, appearing before Chen Qingdi’s residence.

"So this is the kid’s mansion."

"Doesn’t look like much, does it?"

"Lord Si Ming ordered us to search the place, but I doubt we’ll find anything."

The man in the lead wore a Di Lin Hall insignia, and his gaze was frigid.

Lord Si Ming was one of the Ten Great Divine Envoys of Di Lin Hall and held absolute authority in the Jingxi Capital Sub-Hall.

"Boss, are you sure you want to do this?"

Gong Liangbu said with a smile, looking at Chen Qingdi.

"I’ve come all this way. How could I turn back now?"

Chen Qingdi said with a laugh.

With that, he pushed open the door and got out of the car.

"Alright, you two go on and take care of your business."

With that said, Chen Qingdi waved to them.

They smiled, nodded, and drove off.

Chen Qingdi looked toward the Zheng Family’s gate. The line was long, with at least several dozen people in it.

But not everyone was able to get in.

Chen Qingdi saw some people enter, only to come back out moments later.

’Looks like they didn’t pass the Zheng Family’s assessment.’

’The Zheng Family’s test wasn’t going to be that simple, it seemed.’

Chen Qingdi strode forward and got in line at the back.

’It wasn’t like he had anything else to do. It would be good to check out the Zheng Family. Besides, Chen Qingdi was mainly curious about the strange illness afflicting their young master.’

’He’d never heard of a bizarre disease that made grass grow on someone’s body.’

The physicians around him whispered amongst themselves.

Chen Qingdi turned to the people next to him and asked with a smile, "Any idea what illness Young Master Zheng actually has? Have you heard any concrete details?"

"The information I got is that it’s some kind of aquatic parasite disease."

"If that were the case, it should be relatively easy to treat. But so far, no one has managed to cure him."

The physicians behind him, who were also there for the assessment, chattered on.
