Chapter 2386 - 2391: Beast Tide?

Chapter 2386: Chapter 2391: Beast Tide?

"Oh? What exactly is the news?"

When Xia Liu had some free time before, he would secretly go to the city center.

But he couldn’t find any information.

Unexpectedly, Lan Lianxue had only been there a few days and already brought back good news.

She really is his lucky star!

Currently, being stuck at his realm, Xia Liu could only pin his hopes on improving his physical strength.

Regardless of the outcome, it must be tried.

"I don’t quite understand, but some say they discovered strong demon beast aura on a small island north of the Nether River."

Lan Lianxue thought for a moment and continued, "And some say they found a strong demonic Qi northwest, deep in the Nether Land."

According to her idea.

Mark these two places well.

At that time, when entering the Nether Land or Nether River domain.

Avoid them, and there should be no massive crisis.

Because Xia Liu said, strong demon beasts love to stay in one place.

"Alright, I get the idea."

Xia Liu nodded, it seemed necessary to pay a visit.

"Captain! When are we departing!"

"Huh? Departing to where?"

Xia Liu was surprised by Lan Lianxue’s sudden question.

Could it be she wanted to see the strong demon beasts above the Demon Venerable Level?

"Didn’t the captain say once, after identifying where the strong demon beasts are, we’ll bypass that place and hunt in other domains?"

Lan Lianxue looked expectantly at Xia Liu.

Truly hoping he could lead her to hunt demon beasts in the Nether Land or Nether River domain.

"Ah, hahaha..."

Xia Liu almost forgot he had said such a thing.

Feeling awkward, Xia Liu smiled and said, "No hurry, we still can’t be sure if they will be at those places, so the potential crisis remains huge."

"Huh? Then I’ll squat tomorrow for a day and get things clarified!"

Lan Lianxue said excitedly.

"No need to trouble yourself, wait a day or two, there will naturally be news, no more than three days at most."

"Is it really like that?"

Lan Lianxue had never heard such a thing.

Xia Liu had been avoiding bringing her into the Secret Realm to hunt demon beasts, she already began suspecting.

But it wasn’t at the limit, so she didn’t reveal Xia Liu yet.

Just wait for three days!

If after three days, there was no widespread news of strong demon beasts within Demon Hunter City.

Lan Lianxue would request Xia Liu to lead her into the Secret Realm to hunt demon beasts.

If he still didn’t dare to enter, it would mean he was guilty.

This kind of mercenary corps, she did not want to stay too long.

She came out for training, not to nestle comfortably in the warm sun each day.

"Not bad! Then you will know, during these three days just take care of the backyard, I’ll personally go into the city to scout for news."

"Okay, Captain!"

Seeing Xia Liu being so earnest, Lan Lianxue believed him!

"Go rest."

"Okay, Captain! You too, rest early!"

With that said, Lan Lianxue ran back to her own room.

In the backyard, beneath the gazebo, Xia Liu smiled charmingly.

"Rest? That’s not going to happen, I want to see whether these two demon beasts can indeed help me improve!"

Moving with intent, Xia Liu’s figure vanished beneath the gazebo.

In the following two days.

Lan Lianxue followed Xia Liu’s instructions, tending to the medicine garden in the backyard.

What puzzled her was.

She hadn’t seen Xia Liu since that night.

It had already been two days.

If Xia Liu didn’t return soon, she might have to enter the city to search for him.

"Could it be he’s avoiding me revealing him, so the captain left to hide?"

The second night, still not seeing a trace of Xia Liu.

Lan Lianxue started imagining things.

The more she thought, the more it didn’t feel right.

She tidied her clothes, took her sword, and intended to enter the city to search for Xia Liu.

If she found him drinking and resting in some tavern or inn.

Lan Lianxue would surely tear off his mask directly!

Just as she was about to push the door and leave.

The gate opened from outside.

A familiar handsome face appeared before her eyes.

"Lianxue, where are you going so late?"

"Captain! You’ve finally returned, I thought you had disappeared and was about to head to the city to find you."

Lan Lianxue spoke without missing a beat.

She truly was worried.

Worried that Xia Liu had been deceiving her from the start.

"Haha, this time, it did take a while to gather news."

Xia Liu rubbed his nose.

He didn’t want it to be like that either.

That night, he went to the largest information hub in the city, finding those two places where strong demon beast might appear.

Then he hurried overnight to the Nether Land to search.

Several ancient hours later, he rushed to the Nether River domain at extreme speed.

If not for his abnormal cultivator powers and speed.

It would have taken him not less than five days to return.

"Yes, what news did you gather, Captain?"

Lan Lianxue pouted while asking.

Looking at Lan Lianxue’s cute expression before him.

Xia Liu almost couldn’t resist pinching her cheeks.

To maintain the captain’s grand image.

Xia Liu coughed twice and said, "Indeed, I’ve gathered some information."

"Captain! Tell me! Can we enter the Secret Realm to hunt demon beasts now!"

Speaking of this, Lan Lianxue was extremely excited.

"No."

"Huh? Why not?"

"Because the demon beasts in those two places have been killed! They were said to be two terrifying beings of at least Demon Venerable five-stage strength!"

"Demon Venerable five-stage strength! Terrifying! And they ended up being killed!"

Lan Lianxue swallowed, looking at Xia Liu in shock.

"Because those two demon beasts were killed, the Nether Land and Nether River recently are very chaotic, likely causing a beast tide to appear!"

"What! A beast tide!"

Lan Lianxue had once heard a legend, that if you unfortunately encounter a beast tide, don’t think about resisting, just quietly await death...

Because within the beast tide, unimaginable strong demon beasts would appear!

Even a Demon Venerable strongone!

If unlucky, might fall in the beast tide.

For cultivators below the Demon Venerable.

There’s almost no doubt, when the beast tide comes, they’d be trampled to death.

"Why like this?"

Lan Lianxue was nearly in tears.

She had only been here a few months.

Just wanting to enter the Secret Realm, hunt demon beasts to improve her cultivation and experience.

But to encounter such things.

Doesn’t this mean, tonight she’d have to flee Demon Hunter City?

"Lianxue, don’t panic, this information isn’t confirmed, merely speculation, it’s rare for demon beasts beyond Demon Venerable five stages to be killed simultaneously."

In truth, Xia Liu just wanted to fool this girl a bit.

At this stage.

She wasn’t suitable for facing strong demon beasts at the Demon Venerable Level.

If the chance arises, Xia Liu would bring her to the Nether Land, to hunt some low-rank demon beasts.

"Huh?"

Lan Lianxue suddenly realized!

The beast tide was fake!

Because the story came from Xia Liu!

He might now be lying to shirk the responsibility as captain!

Tomorrow, she must go to Demon Hunter City to inquire about the news.

"Lianxue, over the past two days, I purchased some materials in the city, it should benefit your cultivation..."
