Peerless Divine Doctor
Chapter 2889 - 2890: Royal Teacher’s Rebellion
Chapter 2889: Chapter 2890: Royal Teacher’s Rebellion
Yu’er was indeed an intelligent woman, and the Crown Prince’s Order still contained two strikes of strength, but she could not use it at will.
After all, even if released, this attack could be neutralized by those Ferocious Beasts! It wouldn’t harm the Spirit Beasts’ descendants in the slightest.
Rather than using it aimlessly, it was better to keep these two strikes, as they still had a deterrent effect.
Clearly, the three Spirit Beasts’ descendants were quite apprehensive of the Crown Prince’s Order, not daring to advance rashly.
Meanwhile, Yu’er and the high-ranking members of Wudang Sect headed towards the depths of the dead zone.
However, those Ferocious Beasts charged forward one after another, and Xiao Wu along with several Elders engaged in combat with them.
"This isn’t a solution. This thing isn’t enough to deter them; they obviously have a scheme!" the old General transmitted a message to Yu’er.
Yu’er understood this as well, but this was already her last resort. These three ancient Spirit Beasts’ descendants, even a Martial Emperor Realm expert, might not be able to handle them.
"Follow my instructions!" The old General immediately transmitted advice to Yu’er, then charged towards one of the Spirit Beasts’ descendants.
He chose the descendant with the weakest strength.
Roar!
The old General’s sudden attack made the three Spirit Beasts pause momentarily, before roaring loudly.
But at this moment, the old General had already approached the weakest Spirit Beast, able to smell the foul scent emanating from it.
"Now!" The old General squinted his eyes, releasing a surge of immense Mana.
However, this Mana wasn’t directed at attacking the Spirit Beast, as he knew that even his full-force strike wouldn’t break the Spirit Beast’s defense, so he used this Mana to bind the Spirit Beast instead!
Simultaneously, the Crown Prince’s Order in Yu’er’s hand suddenly emitted a dazzling light, and a terrifying strike comparable to a Martial Emperor’s strength shot forth.
The Spirit Beast was shocked, yet couldn’t break free from the old General’s Mana in time.
Roar!
The other two Spirit Beasts roared angrily, their massive claws lashing out at the old General.
Rumble!
The old General’s body was flung out, while the strike hit the Spirit Beast.
Puff!
A dull sound echoed, as the Spirit Beast’s flesh was torn apart, its defense heavily reliant on its physical form.
Howl!
The Spirit Beast lamented in pain, finally breaking free from the Mana binding.
But just then, a violent surge of energy suddenly exploded on the Spirit Beast’s flesh!
Soon after, Qiong Yao appeared!
Now, the Spirit Beast’s flesh defense had been broken; even Martial King Realm strength could harm it. Qiong Yao naturally wouldn’t let this golden opportunity slip!
However, this was not the end! A bright light emerged from within the Spirit Beast, and Yu’er beside looked cold, unexpectedly using her final strike!
The Crown Prince’s Order was her reliance; its strength was now fully drained, meaning her last card was spent.
But she had no regrets, for the Spirit Beast’s descendant as immense as a mountain now slowly fell.
With a thunderous crash, dust billowed as the Spirit Beast’s descendant was slain!
Roar Roar!
The other two Spirit Beasts’ descendants roared in anger; all three came from the same tribe, though not from the same Spirit Beast, yet had been together for many years.
The strongest Spirit Beast immediately swiped, sending Qiong Yao and Yu’er flying.
Several Generals hurried to assist; luckily, they hadn’t sustained serious injuries, although the old General was already on the brink of death!
Considering he was hit by the Spirit Beasts’ combined strike; not dying instantly was due to his great fortune.
Yet it was precisely because of the old General’s strategy that they managed to kill a Spirit Beast!
However, the remaining two Spirit Beasts’ attacks came quickly, like a hurricane, blowing everyone away.
Against this Mana, they had no ability to resist.
"Strange, they obviously could kill us; why hold back?" Yu’er frowned.
Qiong Yao squinted, "They intend to drive us from this dead zone!"
Instantly, Wudang Sect’s high-rankers and several Generals fell silent.
Because the distance between them and those Sect experts was closing, clearly, those experts had formed an agreement with the Spirit Beasts; the beasts’ assault aimed to drive them out, landing them in the Sects’ trap.
"Damn it, these guys are indeed cunning!" Xiao Wu cursed furiously!
Yet, another powerful Mana enveloped them; no matter how they struggled, it was futile!
Evidently, the strongest Spirit Beast descendant had concealed power, possibly reaching Martial Emperor Realm!
This level of strength meant even a low-ranking Martial Emperor expert might be killed by the Spirit Beast.
Plop!
They fell again, but the Spirit Beast’s Mana did not surge anew.
Nearby, dozens of Sect experts surrounded them, each at least of Martial King Realm, mostly half-step Martial Emperor experts, clearly high-rankers from various Sects.
Cold eyes looked upon them, faces showing deep scorn.
"We’ll give you a chance. Reveal the secret of the dead zone, and perhaps we’ll spare you!" one Elder slowly said.
This was a Deputy Sect Master from the Haiming Sect, having reached half-step Martial Emperor Realm a hundred years ago; even true Martial Emperor experts couldn’t handle him.
Hearing this, Qiong Yao and the others understood these Sect experts came for the dead zone’s secret.
But even if they didn’t know the secret’s nature, and even if they did, they wouldn’t share it.
"You’ve got nerve; we’re of the Royal Teacher. Do you want to challenge King of Huainan?" a General shouted angrily.
Yet at once, the surrounding experts laughed coldly.
"You’re a General, yet so foolish? The entire Royal City knows the Royal Teacher rebelled against King of Huainan and was slaughtered! You, remnants of the Royal Teacher, even if we don’t act, King of Huainan will soon eliminate you!" the Elder said coldly.
"What!"
Upon hearing this, Qiong Yao and the others from Wudang exclaimed in shock.
They’d spent recent days fighting and fleeing, truly isolated from news, without any word from Ye Luo.
As for Wudang, without roots in the Royal City, they couldn’t gather such critical information.
